I've figured out your dilemma.

Time zones in Istanbul,Turkey have changed!

Look here: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/timezone.html?n=107&syear=1980

At first, it seems most notable that 1984 didn't have daylight savings time. Then, if you're curious, you notice that time zones prior to 1984 are +3 and +4, but after 1984 they are +2 and +3.

Then if you look up the time zone for Istanbul, http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/city.html?n=107 , you notice that the standard time zone at present is +2.

So you go to astro.com, and plug the information in: 30 November, 1984 at 8:45p.m. In the yellow box, next to the time, on the screen that confirms the city it says Time Zone: 3 h east. That doesn't jive with the standard time zone in Istanbul... at present, but if you go back to that first link I posted you'll see that 1984 was in +3 for the whole year. That is your proper time zone.

Then, just to test astro.com and their ability to deal with middle eastern time-zone-oddity I changed your year of birth to last year. In the new yellow screen it says Time Zone: 2 h east. Changed it to 2005. 2 h east. Astro.com has it right.

Since the area did change it's official standard time zone from +3 to +2 (between 1983 - 1985) there's a very good possibility that some astrology programmers missed that detail. I don't know that adopting new [standard] time zones is a common thing throughout the world. If it isn't, then it's even more likely that this detail would be missed. If programmers use today's information for Istanbul (+2), and apply it backwards forever, then their program's calculations will be wrong starting at 1984 and working backwards.

Make sense?

So, you're a Cancer rising, and the Moon (in pisces in the 9th) is your chart ruler.

Anyone here who's known me for awhile could accuse me of being an attention wh0re, and I have NO Leo in me. All I have is my Moon conjunct Pluto in the 5th. House placement does account for a lot, so your Sun in the 5th is more than enough to account for Leonine tendencies. Add in Saturn and Uranus, and you've got a concentration of energy in Leo's 5th house.

* if * .. Asc is at 23 cancer .. you might feel somewhat different today than you did yesterday
as the Moon conjoined 23 cancer at 17.00 gmt today 31st Jan. ..
i.e. would have gone from your 12th house into your 1st house..

again if the Asc is 23 cancer then you should notice a difference in feb. ..
.. as Mars will oppose that position on the 16th of feb. ..
.. and you might feel it build up from the 11th onwards ..
in other words that will be a *Mars opposite Ascendant* transit ..

* if * it's Leo 5 deg then you will experience that mars transit build up till the 3rd of april ..

a btw note .. the lass i mentioned ( my friends g/f ) is a gemini with venus in leo .. ( no idea of ascendant ) ..
you could easily pass off as sisters .. he's a cancerian with mars in leo ..
