there seemed to be some confusion about cusps so I thought I'd show some information

quote:
What Is An Astrological House Cusp?
The cusp of a House is the point where it begins. A House ends at the cusp of the following House. In the horoscope chart, the Houses (and the Signs) appear in counter-clockwise order, and Houses are numbered from 1 to 12. The cusp of the First House is always shown at the midpoint on the left side of the chart, similar to where 9 would appear on a clock face. Thus the cusp of the Second House would be where the 8 appears on that clock, the Third House cusp at the 7, and the cusp of the Twelfth House at the 10. The Fourth House cusp is always at the very bottom of the chart, the Tenth House cusp always at the highest point. The cusp of the first Sign (Aries) may begin at any point, because the Houses are fixed and the Signs move in a clockwise direction (but are numbered in a counter-clockwise order).

The horizontal line between the First and Seventh House cusps represents the horizon at the place on Earth where someone was born. Planets located in the first six Houses of a birth chart would not be visible in the sky, since they would be below the horizon line.

If you look at your chart there is what I'll call "sticks" radiation from the center of the of your chart. The first house cusp is your AC, your 7th house cusp is your DC and your 8th house cusp is the stick/line just after the 7th.

quote:

some things that I see in your chart that indicate you as being highly sexual

1) 8th house cusp in cancer; sun and moon in cancer
conjunct the 7th house cusp indicating that you need love with your sex

2) pluto in Virgo; 6th house cusp in Taurus, Venus in 6th house

3) 5th house cusp in Aries; mars trine venus

4)Gemini Venus trine uranus; 3rd house in Aquarius; uranus in Libra

Do you kind of understand what I was saying better?

I really enjoy looking at a chart from that angle it shows things you might not have seen before. Just like in your case.
There is an article on bob marks site that first got me on to looking at charts like that

quote:
Look at the sign at the beginning of any house. Then, find which house has the "Ruling Planet" of that sign. Those two houses will be connected in some way.

For instance, let’s say that you are looking at a chart that has the sign of Aries at the beginning of the Second House, the house of money, and Mars, the ruling planet of Aries is in the Third House. The 3rd house rules communications and short journeys. Perhaps this could indicate money from writing or traveling. Of course, the 10th house shows the actual career, but something like this could mean that there could be an increase in income if communications were used more in the career. For instance, even if you’re a plumber, you could write a book on plumbing.

It can work in the other direction too. Perhaps it means that this person spends a lot of money on books or travel. It could show that they spend freely on phone calls. You have to examine the rest of the horoscope before coming to any conclusions. But this method does put you on the right track. Let’s look at some examples

that.http://www.bobmarksastrologer.com/FindConnections14.0.htm

I have a similar aspect as you, my 8th house ruler is Aires and my moon is is aries in the 7th house. So I some understanding of the intense spiritual and emotional nature you relate to sex.
*cough cough* but I'm not going to stay on the topic of sex...sigh...lol
you can see many other aspect of yourself this way

------------------
and then the lord said let there be crazy people, and he saw that it was.......oh crap..........this is not good.........ummmm...cough,cough I didn't do this.. ummmm Luna whats wrong with you, why'd you make these people crazy
Luna: WHAT?!? your not going to pin this on me!
God: cough cough and then the lord dubbed the crazy people Lunatics
Luna: WHAT?!?!!!! don't name them after me!
Luna: and why are you talking about yourself in the third person
God: God can do what ever he wants to do, Muahahahahah
Luna: I hate you....sigh...I'm never going to live this down

If you look at my chart using house cusp rulership you can see what kind of guy I'm attracted to phisically and what I need out of a relationship...you can do the same thing with any of your house cusps

as an example I'm going to use my chart...

you start out with my DC in Pisces,
so you would look at neptune the sign its in and the house its in, as well as where the 12th house cusp falls.
and if you wanted to go further you would look to venus its sign and house placements as venus is the ruler of the 7th house
as well as what is in the 7th house. also the aspects between them...

1)my neptune falls in the 4th house in capricorn;
I'm going to be going for some one who is canerian in many ways; emotional, clingy sensetive, gentel, nurturing. I am also very attracted to the cancer face...
I like men that are intuitive and even psychic
neptune being in capricorn...although I want all the watery goodness of pisces and cancer I need someone who is down to earth and can be centered, serious and foucused.
I didn't find any supporting aspect with this one...

2)where the 12th house falls....mine falls in the sign of Leo..
I love men that are generous, warm, and open
I love men with long blonde hair! and Leo is know for hair and the color gold. I think Pisces has something to do with long hair as well. hmmm and cancers colors are white and yellow...
I also have a creepy attraction to men that are on the masochistic side. this is shown by the ruler of leo, the sun being in quincux to saturn and neptune being in capricorn...I believe that the sun quincux saturn activated this odd attration... as neptune in capricorn is not enough to do this...my chart had to line up just right for me to like this in a man lol
this connection is supported by the aspect sun semisquare venus & neptune contraparallel sun

3)Where the venus is...my venus is in Taurus in 8th house...
look more watery goodness.... 8th house lol
scorpio and Taurus are very similar. I need to have a true sense of security and loyalty...and an love that feels all consuming and intense...
the connection between venus and the 7th house is supported be the aspect neptune trine venus

4) whats in the 7th house... the Aries moon....
I need lots of passionate, firy emotions to make me happy, and I don't mind playing the dominate role lol
the connection is supported by the aspect neptune square moon and neptune opp mars

Cool huh....Try it out on yourselves it'll be fun! what does you 9th our 2nd house cusp say about you?

think geometry

the long blue lines are trine aspects: a trine happens when two of more planets are in 120 degrees of the other
*trines Denotes harmonious conditions

the short blue lines are sextile aspects:
a sextile is when planets are 60 degrees from one another
*trines Denotes harmonious conditions

the red lines are sqare aspects
a square is when two or more planets are 90 degrees from the other
*Denotes tense relations.

and the green lines are quincux aspects
a quincux is when planets are 150 degrees from one another

I hope I explaind that well enough...did I help? If you need a better explination I'll try and find a website...

Hey, thanks for the explanation, Dove. I'd always thought the cusp was the house sign (duh!). First house @ 9 o'clock... now I'll remember.

lol I fixed the typo...

nope...I just use the information on how to read the relationships between house cusp rulers and your chart, that I got off the bobmarks site, then used logic and intuition to read my chart...

why you ask?

you can read the complete article, I put a link to it under the quote from the article....here the link again http://www.bobmarksastrologer.com/FindConnections14.0.htm
I thought the little article was interesting, what do you think of it?

I know a couple people told me about websites I can go to read to start with astrology101 -if you will-
but, I was wondering what good books are out there that would do the same, I need something to explain things to me from the very basic stuff so i can make sense of it and I also like to lay down in bed and read, I kind of get tired sitting in front of the computer doing that (I need to invest on a laptop)
But, anyway, any good books out there I can look into it?

NAM,

Here is an astro-booklist: http://www.geocities.com/wilsontctc/Author_list.htm

But beware of this type of question...there are as many opinions on what a "good" book on astrology is as there are astrologers!

Linking and warning,

Tim

Libra/Venus/7th house is about relationships but is also about way we relate to others and do things for others to please them. As a result, in addition to "relationships" issues, Libra/Venus/7th house is also about the results of how we relate to others. So the extended keyword is:
Libra/Venus/7th house (relationships, also love, beauty, art)

Scorpio/Pluto/8th house is about transformation and so it is about how we use our power to become more than we were before, this experience of transformative power is also related to psychological, healing, and occult power; our sexuality; and to the transformation which occurs as we go through the process of dying. As a result, in addition to "transformation" Scorpio/Pluto/8th house is about the transformative process and the power that results. So the extended keyword is:

Aquarius/Uranus/11th house (friends, also innovation, independence, rebellion, unstructuring, restructuring, television, computers, Internet, astrology)

Pisces/Neptune/12th house is about our spirituality in the sense that we are all interconnected to each other and so this energy "dissolves" the boundaries that separate us from others: this interconnects us in things such as music but also makes it a challenge for us to maintain our sense of who we are so confusion or even idealization can become a challenge as well as drug addiction if we become overly attached to needing an intense feeling of being "connected" to others all the time. As a result, while spirituality and music is a helpful result Pisces/Neptune/12th house can also lead to various types of confusion including self-created confusion. So the extended keyword is:
Pisces/Neptune/12th house (spirituality, also music, artistry, subconscious, confusion, idealization, fantasy, media personality, drugs, addiction)
