I read on a site that cusps last for a week Or that there are three types of of the zodiac. http://www.novareinna.com/constellation/ariescusp.html
What do you guys think?
The start of Aries is known as March 21st and I have two friends who are born on that day. They have both traits. My birthday is March 23rd and i'm not that typical impulsive self-centered Aries. Could the 23rd still count as the cusp?------------------

I don't give any credence to cusps. One of my teachers likened the theory of cusps to "being a little bit pregnant." Either your sun is in Aries, or it isn't in Aries. Don't go by just your Sun sign. If you don't feel like the "typical" Aries, look at the rest of your chart. Perhaps you have a lot of Piscean influence, or your strongest planet is in a totally different sign and that seems to override the "Aries." Personally, I have to read the "Sun sign" description of either my Moon sign or the sign most of my planets are in to feel like it matches my personality ...  IP: Logged |

Exactly what Neferemi said. Your Sun is either in one sign or the other.You should have a look at your chart and see where your planets are? Are you an Aries with a lot of water planets? Do you have a stellium in the 7th house? That will give you lots of Libran energy. Is your Sun in the 5th house like mine? That definitely gives this Aquarian a showoffy "Leo" vibe... especially with Mars in the 5th conjunct the Sun and opposed Jupiter in the 11th in Leo. Are you a Sag with Cancer moon and rising? You're not going to be a typical Sag... you'll be very emotional and Cancer-like. Hope that helps! IP: Logged |

I don't actually have a lot of Water, but my moon's in Cancer. I have a lot in air and fire. Like it mentioned there were the three types of groups in the zodiac, some more typical than others. http://www.novareinna.com/constellation/ariesappearance.html

You know how fire signs are usually show offs and self centered. I get what you are saying though. I think i'm more like a Libra.

I don't know how to feel about this cusp thing either. I like reading up on the general theories out of sheer curiosity, but the Aries/Taurus descriptions usu. mark me up as power-hungry and heavily focused on land acquisition, thanks to the ppl who represent us (damn that Barbra Streisand).Notable Aries/Taurus Cuspians Include:
Adolf Hitler; Catherine the Great; Vladimir Lenin; William Shakespeare; Catherine de Medici; and Barbara Streisand I think whatever control issues I have must be Pluto/Saturn related. I don't feel particularly Martian, esp. considering that my Mars is in Taurus (detriment) and it is widely opposite Saturn (10 degs). You don't mind if I bump in here for a second, Do you?I want to follow what Venus' example of not following the Sun Sign. I'm a Leo, but I have Scorpio-like vibes (8th House stellium). Also, I have Pisces Moon...to explain why I have psychic vibes. What I don't understand is why a person (Name shall remain anonymous) don't understand that I'm a very sensitive/sensual person? Is it because they're prejudice? I don't know. Yes, I'm a Leo...but at the same time, I have psychic (Pisces Moon) and sensual (8th House Sun) energy...so they can't point the finger @ me for my gifts... ------------------

Why do they have Gemini starting at May 23...completely inaccurate by all accounts, even when the newspapers get it wrong they at least have it starting May 22. . I was born on May 21 and my drawn up chart shows Gemini Sun at 00 57....While I do believe you are your sun regardless if its zero degrees 1 or 29 degrees 58.... I generally do find spillover of traits from the preceding or succeeding sign depending upon the person's Sun placememt. Because I am very quiet until I have known a person for 10 years (lol) 90% of so called astrologers guess my "sign" incorrectly. I'm not kidding. I have been mistaken for Scorpio and Taurus and while both of these signs take two houses each (virgo and pisces intercepted) I only have my Venus in Taurus and my Neptune in Scorpio. IP: Logged |
