I've been dating this guy for three months, and he is AMAZING- it is the first time I can say I've actually loved someone. We click on so many levels.

However, he recently told me that he can become violently angry sometimes. Not often- but when it happens, he feels like punching things (including people). This shocked me, since he is practically the most easy-going person I know. Abuse runs in his family, too- he was abused by his dad, his dad was abused by his grandpa, and his grandpa was abused as well.

I am so scared that he has another (violent) side I haven't seen. From looking at the charts below, can you tell anything important? Thank you SO much...

Here is our synastry (me in blue, him in red):

And our composite...

And his chart.

I can't say for sure, but I would think that it would be worth analysing any planets squaring Mars. I noticed the T-square pointing to Mars in his 4th house, apparently that can be an indicator of abuse/violence at home.

Whenever violence and abuse run in the family, it is a vicious circle and extremely hard to break. The good thing is that he acknowledges his violent side and kind of warns you (which does not mean that if he is violent towards you, he is not responsible, because, of course, he is).

You don't really need astrological information after what he's told you about himself and his family.

jujube,

You said:

There is a great deal of difference between FEELING like hitting someone and actually doing it. Mars (being, also anger) focused in the 4th house (home, also emotions) indicates a person with angry emotions. However this does NOT mean that the person will hit someone. Hitting is a personal choice. Let him know that hitting you is NOT an option. No matter why he gets mad, if he starts hitting you...you are OUT of that relationship.

Non-hitting,

Tim

Thanks for the replies...

I agree Tim, there's a big difference between the feeling and the action. He said he only punched someone once, when he was younger, but that he does become violent when he gets mad- I imagine he hits and throws objects. He says he goes for a long time and nothing will phase him, and then boom, he snaps and loses control...

just wondering if there is anything in his chart showing a tendency towards violence. Or in our synastry/composite.

hey juju,
i looked for violent trends in the composite,i didn't look for aspects of compatability sooo...
yea there are violent aspectsmercury square to pluto can give a malicious attitude .with pluto semisquare the saturn/urnaus conjunction and mercury sesquiquadrate{135}
tyhe uranus/saturn conjunction and with pluto sesquiquadrate to chiron and a semisquare to mercury, there is definetly a temper/violence dynamic here.
in his chart there is a mars/pluto{violence
]midpoint conjunct his moon,no a good omen for women in his life.but more important is the mars square to neptune, which makes me think he has a meds/alcohol"problem".it is during drinking that his rage will come out more easily.your composite chart has a ominious double midpoint square to neptune.the mars/pluto midpoint forms a double midpoint with the mars/uranus midpoint that is square to neptune.this indoicates that violence in the com[posite will be closely related to drinking/meds just as it is in his natal chart.
actually the party vib is the strongestvib in the composite.the love/sex vib{mars/venus} is also comjunct pluto in the composite.it seems this relationship is based on party time rather than emotions,as the aspects which show emotional involvment are weak or non-existant.
