Topic: Composite Mars-Neptune hard aspect

Hi everyone! I was wondering if any of you ever had a Mars square (or opposition) Neptune in a composite chart, in a romantic/sexual relationship. If so, could you tell me how this aspect expresses itself? I have no idea. Thanks

I haven't had this in the composite.. but I'd say something like - big dreams, low ability to materialize them. Maybe dreams that are to unrealistic to be put into practice. A general disappointment in the way things are while glorifying the way things could be.. It's hard to build a bridge between the opposite extremes of idealism and reality due to lack of acceptance. That is a great way to put it...! I would also add that there can sometimes be and undermining of confidence, victimisation, and one could find themselves deflated but still "hoping" that there is a chance.. because there is a strong need for redemption with Neptune.
Letting go of any controlling tendancies would be wise....
It is also important to see how Neptune is aspected in the individuals chart...
Because the Composite is about the relationship itself, the hard aspects are usually harder and make it hard to achieve a "balance" or "peace" within the realm of the other planet and house it is contained.

Thank you both! It sounds awful! Actually, all hard neptune aspects to personal planets in the composite sound terrible.Since Mars is involved in this one, do you think it could have a negative impact on physical intimacy, or a disappointment or even one party cheating on the other?
Or would you only attribute this influence to "failure to materialize dreams"? IP: Logged |

Oh yes...I have this one with my bf; mars in cancer opposite Neptune in capricorn. I don't have an EXACT time for my bf's birth...oh wait, and any rate they are still mars in the 6th/neptune in the 12th. I dunno, maybe it has to do with mine (and sometimes his) feelings of inadequacy??? (God I hate sharing this but what heck).IP: Logged |

Hi Dolce Luna,I'm sorry but I didn't understand what you meant by "feelings of inadequacy". Could you help me understand that a little better? If you don't feel confortable with it, then I respect that and don't want to pressure you in anyway.
I'm just not sure if what you wrote what related to my previous post referring to physical intimacy or if you were talking about some other type of feeling of inadequacy.
I am also unsure wether you were talking about synastry or composite (I was inquiring about this aspect in the composite)

Hi Kamots Yes, I was referring to the Composite chart. And when I was talking of feeling inadequate, I was talking in general. Like when one is afraid the other doesn't love them because they're not this or that (atleast they think they're not this or that). Basically when one feels they're not good enough for the other person. Oooh, I've had light-bulb moment!  Maybe it also ties in with assertiveness in the relationship (the problems with it, that is). I think you're wright!! The assertivness thing... Mars is highly related to that. I'm imagining those couples where at least one of the parts is angry or unhappy with the relationship or with the partner, but keeps it hidden. Like a fear of standing for what you need (fearing that your partner will stop loving you) or reluctance to let it out so you don't let your partner know he/she has the power to hurt you or get you angry (pride).
I remember having a 7º Mars-Neptune opposition with a former girlfriend and she was just like that. I just couldn't get her to talk about her feelings and she wanted me to guess them and be adequate... One day, out of nothing she broke up. I'm an extremely intuitive and feeling-oriented man who likes to sit down, talk about things and work them out, but she was an extremely secretive and self-controlled Scorpio who NEVER showed sadness, pain or vulnerability. A month later, she admitted she was very angry with me because I didn't give her enough love and that she had gone home many times and cried by herself. That broke my heart, even more than when she left me. I would've done anything to be there and give her confort and reassurance.
She never gave me another chance to show her what she trully meant to me (I did love her deeply, but had been terrified by it).I guess this is the aspect that reflects it. Thank you Dolce Luna Can anyone else talk about their experience with this aspect? Like a diferent interpretation? IP: Logged |

I am unfortunate to have this with a person I have adored in my life and who I believe had or has feelings for me too. I think it works both ways and inadequacy and guilt are its central themes. One sees in the other what they are not and what they have secretively felt they "ought to be." To me, it felt like my feelings were imprisoned in that relationship. There were control issues as well, but I don't know how much could be because of this aspect or other negative aspects going on. He still feels like a lesson I had to learn in life - one I am struggling not to fail by going back, regardless of my love. Ironically, he is the only person who has hurt me so and yet I still see him as a profound teacher in my life - I guess that is his neptunian influence on my mars.IP: Logged |

I have a mars square neptune composite with somebody who i have an interest in. The neptune of our composite chart conjuncts his natal sun 0°. So, is he the person who feels like he can't express himself to me? Or that I bombard him with my attention? Or that he feels like I'm in love with a grandiose version of him ive created in my mind, not actually him?
Our composite venus and mercury sextiles the composite neptune, so I'm hoping this will allow for an outlet to balance this negative aspect out.IP: Logged |
