Anyone have any experiences with men having both or either of these placements? Were they slow to progress into the physical side of a relationship?

You describe a Venus and Mars that are relatively close together. This can mean that they are nearly merged--as in a whole person, who is evolved to a point of asexuality. These people can have, and can enjoy sex, but it is not the driving need that it is for many others. His passion may well be going elsewhere--to some higher purpose. It is all a matter of evolution!

I can see venus in cancer being relatively slow to start a relationship, probably guarding their own sensitivities and feeling out the other person.

(I strongly disagree that sexuality is a "lower" function. This mindset about the body, gender, and sexuality being lower or not spiritual has caused a lot of the dysfunction we see in them today.)

I know this is old but I just found it..throw in my thoughts here..

I have been involved on-off with a guy for over a year. He's a Virgo sun w/ VENUS in CANCER and MARS in LEO. He's the biggest man **** I know..he was quick to initiate our friendship and quick to push the physical part (and PUSHY about it too!). He comes on strong.

I have Venus AND Mars in Cancer and we are very sexual and often Cardinal and initiative except the insecurity. He also could have that Leo pride where maybe he expects you to come to him and make the first move.

I would think that if this is a guy that Mars in Leo would make this person quite expressive physically, yet would give him a wonderful sensitivity and would then want to hang out and just cuddle and talk.

I think if this isn't the case that the planet of Mars may be in the 4th, 8th or 12th house. Where is it?

I hv venus/jupiter/asc in cancer and mars/saturn in leo. I am certainly slow to start a physical relationship. Main cause insecurity, I guess.

my guy has this..

he is VERY VERY affectionate. cuddle city. gentle and loving and very fun. i feel that loyalty and commitment and closeness is very important to him.

what i love about this combo is the leo makes them NOT shy or timid to be affectionate as maybe cancer might be without it.

I know somebody with venus in cancer (but mars in libra) and is slow in starting a relationship, but ... is taurus as well!
I think it depends of other aspects as well .

My husband is Mars in Leo.

Was he slow to start the physical side of our relationship? Err, no, and there's still life in the old dog.
