My natal Mars is at 24 Gemini, 10H. H41 Trans-Nept. Hades has been hovering within 2 degrees of 24 Gemini since 2003! I bring this up because Hades is Prominent in my natal. Sun is at 5 Taurus, Hades is also at 5 Taurus. Without going into too much boring detail- what I have noticed is that my Hot button i.e. anger, resentment, lust, desire etc. has not been in the 'off' position for these past couple years. I have worked hard to channel it, direct it. The morph that has occurred thru constructive application , and just riding the wave has been this: No longer will I succumb to anything less than acceptance of who I am. Those who do not accept, and enjoy those parts of me previously left dormant are shown the door. Any one else with personal points/planets touched by this Making me Mental Hades??? I would be interested in hearing any other thoughts on this. So, I guess what I am saying is that sometimes the crucible is necessary. It may not feel too good to burn yourself over and over again, but unlike the child with their hand on the hot stove, you do not draw back the hand, you hold it there, till you develop the tolerance to withstand the heat! Edit Did I forget to mention Progressed Sun @ 24 Gemini? guess I did! IP: Logged |

>>>>>No longer will I succumb to anything less than acceptance of who I am. Those who do not accept, and enjoy those parts of me previously left dormant are shown the door.<<<<<<You've basically summed up the biggest issue I've been working on for the past few years and guess where my progressed Hades is? In my 7th house, 1 degree from conjuncting my Descendant. In my case though, I feel more like I'm showing the ashamed, unforgiving parts of myself the door. Except for my current relationship, I was never truly myself in romantic relationships. I never showed the full extent of my insecurities or vulnerabilities. My current relationship has brought to light fears and aspects of my personality that I had repressed. I believe I would've eventually learned these things about myself even without my boyfriend, but this relationship really accelerated things for me and I've grown tremendously. Our relationship has been transformative in a similar way for my boyfriend. I suppose most would probably interpret Hades as a negative influence, but it seems to me like it burns away masks and facades, even if we don't think we're ready yet for that process to occur. dividedsky - it's H41. (I didn't catch it at first either, ssshhh. )

TDSky- Hades H41 is a Trans Neptunian Planet. It is a hypothetical planet used by Uranian astrologers Uranians use Koch charts, not Placidus or Equal house systems. They also use H40 Cupido, and H13 Lilith among others. They are found by clicking on the blue title bar at the bottom of the Astro-D extended chart section. Uranians are given the hairy eyebrow by traditional astrologers. They are viewed as esoteric fringe dwellers. Many say that the traditional planets/placements once fully understood and assimilated are all you need. That Asteroid work/Uranian points, hold much less value than say Pluto (generational) or Venus (personal) which is true. But lets not weigh significance right now. Any field of study has controversy among it's top rung of experts. Historians disagree, mathematicians, astronomers etc. The squabbles are good. It makes each faction examine they're so-called truths for validity, and perhaps find a new truth. Jane, what a thoughtful reply. I especially liked the phrase about not being ashamed of uncomfortable feelings. I feel that for women it is part of the Anemia/Animus integration that Jung wrote. That all humans have the warrior (mars) and the nurturer (Venus) to contend with. Say a guy has Sun (ego) in Aries, and an ASC (the filter/mask)in Pisces. His ego drives are in conflict with his soft white underbelly of a Mutable, dreamy ASC. For women this is difficult as well. When we stand up for ourselves, or get a direct feed on our aggressive tendencies; we are perceived in a very unfavorable light by the unevolved. It's 2007 and Humans are still fascinated by Paris Hilton and breast enlargement is so commonplace it is numero ono in elective surgery. On a rant here! get back to the topic. Hades in Greek mythology is the god of the dead/underworld. His Roman counterpart is Pluto. Google to find the full story. Transiting Pluto has been opposing Hades (H41) Transiting Saturn has been making contact as well. Pluto on the Galactic Center (26+ Sag) to my mind is a precursor to Hades finally moving further into Gemini in 2008/9 it's a 'warm up' for the fire-down-below. IP: Logged |

Node - I hadn't heard of Uranian astrologers before your last post. I'm relatively new to studying astrology seriously, although I've read some books about it since I was a kid.IP: Logged |

Jane- This site is a gold mine of information. I have learned much here. As far as Uranian study goes, I have been a member of Daniel (pass the olives) Wheeland Dowd's 086ers astro service since '02. And the current American Idolisis (rhymes with cystitis) makes me taste the backwash in my mouth! IP: Logged | |
