Neptune is in opposition to my native sun...according to Astrodienst, this transit creates "snares and delusions."I googled it, and it says that this is a time when I could get lost in daydreams and fantasies. Has anyone had intense experiences with this transit? What happened? Did everything turn out okay?

I have this natally, seems like most interpretations are so negative about hard aspects to neptune. I don't think snares and delusions are "created" by the transit I think they are already there internally and brought to the surface to work through. (the snares are our own beliefs about something that we hold onto and live out reality by) I imagine by the time this transit is done you'll be gifted with a lot of discernment and insight and will not be as naive in that area or "houses" that are effected anymore, and see more truthfully there. It's good to have faulty illusions and beliefs lifted because a lot of the time they hold you back from happiness.I think if you have that intent in mind when going through a neptune transit and look at your own "stuff" it makes it easier to get through. Thanks, Neon Artemis! I'm glad to know that the transit might be more about working with deeply-held long-term patterns in the way I live my life, and outdated belief systems, rather than about "suddenly" being completely delusional and unable to trust myself.I've googled this transit, and some of the web sites say things like, You'll start buying lottery tickets and think you'll win, and then be disappointed. It's had me worried because I'm at a very vulnerable point in my life...I've ended a long-term relationship, I'm switching careers...and for the very first time in my life, I've had a profound attraction for almost a year to someone who does not want me back. (My instincts that way have ALWAYS been trustworthy, until now.) The "lottery ticket" thing resonated with me, because I truly, TRULY believed that this guy felt the same way about me and that after I disentangled from my other relationship...which I had needed to leave for a long time...we would get together. And it sounds dumb, but I've NEVER been wrong about anything like that before. But, I have also been trying to look very clearly at my life and patterns and what I truly want, and I've come a long way toward that. IP: Logged |

Well, if it's any consolation I've had the same experiences in multiple relationships. I had a lot of my illusions stripped away from me in that regard (sun in the 7th opp neptune in the 1st.) I learned that my neptunian "inspirations" have to be tempered with more realism and saturn energy or I get completely off the mark. I was also picking partners completely innapropriate for me - because I didn't know myself well enough or what I wanted in life. Now however, I know myself and have a lot of discernment in general having gone through those experiences.I think sometimes my subconscious used a relationship with another person or the hope of it as a carrot to get me off my ass and back on my life path. Anyway, I think the more you learn about yourself and use your mercury or virgo energies (Which it seems you are doing.) the less confusing it is, though it can start out that way. You sound like you're going to get through this just fine! IP: Logged |

Neon, I have the same natal aspect as you do, except I have my sun in the 1st opposite neptune in the 7th. It's a hard placement to live with, particularly as everytime I get into a romantic affair, I always think to myself if this real or not? And I analyze it way too much and when I feel that I am gaining some sort of reality in the situation, my fantasy world catches up to me again. It's hard for me to relax in romance. Lucia, hope everything goes well for you I've experienced a sun opp neptune transits and it felt like I was caught up in a dream world. IP: Logged |

That's soo interesting--the (semi-autobiographical) character I've been writing about is having trouble telling the difference between her dreams and reality. In life, I've been having REALLY intense, vivid dreams. Incidentally, Neptune is transiting my second house, in opposition to my eighth house sun. IP: Logged | |
