Do any of you have Venus in Capricorn? Are you shy/reserved people? Do you feel attracted to shy/reserved/sensitive people?
Are you scared of rejection? How do you feel and behave when you are "impressed" by someone?
Hmm enough questions... so far

I have venus in capricorn. Normally I'm not shy but when I'm in love(actually when I'm with the person I'm in love with), I become shy. After a while I open up and become more like myself. I'm attracted to self-confident, strong, independent, harworking, intelligent, caring and somewhat unconventional men . I don't fear rejection because I think when you really get that feeling from someone that person also feels the same way. I can feel what that person is feeling (maybe because of my pisces moon). When I feel that I'm falling in love automatically my shyness comes to surface. It's not that I fear talking to that person, I do go and talk, I do make my moves, I don't just stand still and do nothing but normally I'm a lot more talkative, but I become more quiet at those times. As I said, after I get used to the feeling and that person I open up and be myself. In love I'm very courageous, patient and understanding. I'm a peaceful and passionate lover.

Yes, i am a bit shy...well actually more of reserved than shy. i keep my distance from people i dont know well.

But i am NOT attracted to shy and reserved people. I like confident, sunny, optimistic, intelligent, hardworking people. people who have mastered themselves. who display restraint and control of themselves and their minds. i dont like over the top behaviour. i like my men to be 'classy'.

When I am 'impressed', and really interested , i can't seem to stop talking to the person. i give them the gaze then sometimes i chicken out and backstep, and think about what i am doing. after a suitable interval of introspection, i step back into the game again. (i think this part may be due to cancer ascendant). i love, love, love to talk to him, laugh with him, flirt....ya know. ohhh and am a big fan of letting things happen naturally.

I'd say Venus in Capricorn men are very...er...POSSESSIVE...although my Mars in Gemini and Venus in Pisces might seem flighty to them...

Hey I have Venus in Capricorn and I can be possessive in love. I think we are shy at first to express ourselves (at least I am). Then we build up and become more confident. I am not good at expressing my feeling (or maybe its my moon in acquarius.) But I am passionate & intense because I am a Scorpio. With Venus in Capricorn when we become mad we can be cold and act as if it didnt bother us. But I think in general Capricorn isn't a shy sign, its just that we can be so darn conservative & serious that it misleads people. We open up and reveal our true selves to people we feel are worth opening up to :-)
I think we are attracted to people older than us. With life experience and maturity.

I agree with that, im not a cappy venus but i do have venus opp saturn and in other people i have met with venus in cappy they do seem to be attracted to maturity and a person who they can sense has either some mystery, intelliegence or something that they can learn from to gain more wisdom/experience themselves (venus in cappy).

this capricorn venus hates stereotypes like that thing about caps falling for older ppl. Or being 'shy'. or...

it's not age that matters to a capricorn, it's maturity, "people. people who have mastered themselves" like ILWL said. Sometimes, it's someone older. But age has nothing to do with it; it's emotional maturity.

and being shy? isn't that healthy? should I trust a person who starts making future plans including me 5 minutes after they met me? (no joke. a leo guy almost named our children on our second chat)

is there any reason to expect that sort of 'love' to last longer than the next week? should I care about that? should I move a muscle? why? that has no value to me. that sort of guy will do that again tomorrow, with smb else. he can't tell the diff. why bother?

so... like someone else said - I too wait to see if the interest in me is the real thing or just a soap-bubble. I do love soap-bubbles, but I wouldn't bet my feelings or my life on their lifespan...

would be interesting to hear the preferences of more men with venus in capricorn - what are you attracted to in a partner? because I do think that venus in man's chart plays out slightly differently than in a woman's chart. I have venus in capricorn and I'm definitely very reserved in new(romantic) situations and I also fear rejection initially, that's why I like to play it slow until I'm sure my interest isnt a one-sided affair. So yes, I act like my venus in capriorn, but in terms of what I'm attracted to in a partner...I really dont think it's my venus in capricorn which defines my preferences...I think it's much more my mars in sagittarius (aspecting jupiter, neptune, uranus)which sets the tone.....

annaf...totally agree. I have read that women are more attracted to men that are similar to their mars sign and men go with their venus sign. I have mars in scorpio so i like a mysterious, sensual man. I think venus is how we act in relationship and mars what kind of partner we are attracted to for a female. in my case i like mature men (has to be older) & with lots of experience in life and relationships. For me its a mix of venus & mars ;-). I think men with venus in capricorn like women that resemble that sign.

Hello, nice to meet you all.

Considering my Venus in Capricorn and my Mars in Scorpio, I would say that I definitely prefer a Venus in Capricorn-ish woman (with a mix of Mars in Scorpio). This quote should paint a note-worthy picture:

"A man with Venus in Capricorn tends to appreciates a mature, responsible, socially conscious
and respectable woman. In a relationship they can suppress their emotions but they never skimp on showing they care by being loyal, honorable and responsible. They will rarely shout about their love, but once someone has their trust they will try their best to make things work and make their partner happy."

Haha yes Jupitergirl seem to talk alot abt Caps but ure a pretty saggi right?

Its true caps tend to fall in love w the more mature one. My gf is in fact slightly older than me. But sometimes when u feel ur girl is so much mature than you, it doesnt feel good too. You dont feel in control and if her sign is a leader sign, there cud be many conflicts.

Caps lovers are definitely passionate, shy at first stages.

I have Venus in Capricorn. I'm pretty secretive about my romantic feelings for someone in the beginning. (This may be caused by my Scorpio ascendant though, or maybe they reinforce one another.) I'm secretive for a couple of reasons. First, there's the obvious fear of rejection. My natural instinct is to think someone's affection for me isn't as deep as mine is for him. I have Venus in my 3rd house, so in some ways I'm a lot like a Venus in Gemini - I'm flirty and playful, love to joke around. And I'm also a Sag Sun, so I'm aware that I appear like someone who's confident and lighthearted, and in a lot of ways, I am that person. But I take relationships very seriously. So I fear that because I appear lighthearted and flirty, the man of my affections is attracted to the casual me but wouldn't be as into the more serious parts of my personality. So it takes me some time to tell if a guy likes all of me or just the more apparent parts of me, and until I'm pretty sure he likes all of me, I keep my feelings private. The other reason I'm private about my feelings is because my feelings change frequently. I've had tons of crushes on guys that ended after a couple of weeks (or hours!). But since I dislike brief, casual relationships, I rarely let on that I was interested because I didn't want to deal with a quick break-up. I learned about that one the hard way and I hated the guilt I felt for losing interest so quickly. So I wait until I'm sure about the constancy of my feelings before I act interested.

I think Venus in Cap also makes me a little more realistic about romantic relationships than other aspects in my chart would indicate (Sun-Neptune conjunction in Sag, I'm looking at you ). Most relationships don't last a lifetime and I rarely allow myself to be swept away into believing in "happily ever after." Relationships require continuous maintenance.

This may seem contradictory, but I think Venus in Cap also makes me more romantic in some ways. I'm in love with all the subtle parts of love--the eye contact, the shy glances, holding hands under the table, slow dancing, long walks...all of that means more to me than grand promises.

I attract Venus in Capricorn men like a flame attracts moths, and I couldn't figure out why for a long time, because my chart is full of Mutables such as Gem and Pisces....plus Sun and Merc in Aries, Uranus and Pluto in Libra, which form wonderful squares...until I realized my Mars & Saturn in the 10th might have something to do with it. I'm fairly conservative, and they like that too.

Yeah, I would agree they like to see that you're not full of BS, and seem to be fairly traditional where relationships are concerned. They are after *the real thing* and can be marvellously enthusiastic.
