Two questions:

If someone's personal planets fall in your 2nd house, does that mean they only see you as a means to end?

If your Chiron falls in their 7th house? Does that mean you will be wounded in trying to have a romantic partnership with the person?

Thanks.

hi there ^_^

When someone's personal planets fall into your 2nd house, it can mean finances and business together, but it also means that the other person can make you feel very supported and valued (after all, it is the house of values and security also). It might also indicate life enjoyment together.
But well, it is just the positive side of it.. actually, it depends on how your bday chart is, and what kind of aspects do the other person's planets make with yours.

The planets that fall into my second house are his Mars, Mercury and Pluto. He has given me financial advice before ie telling me how to handle my expenses and such. He was very adament about handling money. Also he has told me on a few occassions to have some confidence and self worth. So I guess he could be trying to teach me to see that I have all those qualities in me and that I need to let them shine so-to-speak. And he does make me feel valued sometimes.

His/Mine

Mercury biquintile Moon
Mercury sextile Mars
Mercury semisextile Uranus
Mercury square Neptune
Mars quincux Moon
Mars quintile Jupiter
Mars square Neptune
Pluto semisextile Sun
Pluto semisextile Mer
Pluto conjunct Venus
Pluto sextile Mars
Pluto semisextile Saturn.

His Pluto

Do you have any clue about the chiron in synastry? And house placements?

His 6th house Chiron Aries opposes my 3rd house Venus Libra and my 9th house Chiron Taurus opposes his 1st house Moon Scorpio.

hmmm so interesting!

My bf´s uranus and Eros falls on my 2nd and my venus and sun falls on his 2nd house!

We have a DW on venus/mars mid opos/conjunct the 2nd house rullers and Darkdreamer said:

"The DW on your 2nd house ruler is interesting. To me, in synastry, the 2nd house represents the body, the real physical manifestation of the body, and if the 2nd house is involved in synastry, there can be some kind of quiet, sensual, but somewhat posessive kind of attraction.
So, in my midpoint translation that would be:
Your body trigger sexual attraction in each other"

Before i thought that the 2nd house had only to do with money and possessions but know i know it also has to do with our security has a individual in the world.
Wheneve one is down and having problems of insecurities,self-esteem,selfworthless,the other instinctively react and try to give the other the personal security they need, and not in the financial matter

I can`t agree with that. At least not completely. I think there is a certain risk, that a relationship with emphasis on 2nd house could be very materialistic, and that one could start to see the other as a posession. To me the 2nd house has much to do with selfworth and what you value. And someone with planets in your 2nd house could have some influence on your feelings of selfworth; he / she can strengthen it, or make you feel worthless. It depends how both of you deal with those issues.

I also think that, even though it`s rarely written, the 2nd house has something to do with sensuality. That is, because it is a Taurus-house, ruled by Venus.

Some examples:
My mother`s Saturn, Neptune and Sun fall into my father`s 2nd house. Ther`s nothing cold about their relationship. Actually they are very warm and sensual with each other, their relationship is one of the most stable I have ever seen (32 years this week), and they seem to feel really secure with each other. They value each other greatly, and they are true partners, not only husband and wife. So a positive example.

Also, June Carter and Johnny Cash. Her Venus, nOde and Chiron fell into his 2nd house; His Moon fell into her 2nd house.

Johnny Depp and VAnessa Paradis:
His Moon falls into her 2nd house; her MC falls into his 2nd house. And it actually seems as if she has been stabilizing him in the last few years.

Paul McCartney and his wife LInda:
Her Mercury, ASC and Venus fell into his 2nd house;
His IC fell into her 2nd house.

WEll, I agree, that too much emphasis on the 2nd house can get very stifling, materialistic and in some cases boring. There are other placements I would prefer (4th, 5th, 7th, 8th, 1st house), but I wouldn`t say, some planets in the 2nd house in synastry will make a good relationship impossible.

Yeah i feel more to ~what Darkdreamer said.

Cause with that placements,me and my bf doesnt have any interests on the other´s possessions or material things..but we do feel much more secure woth each other ,than alone .

I feel that whenever we 2 are together, the other desenvoles on the other, more security feelings but based on ourselves as individuals.
Feeling more warmth and more valued and special cause of the believeing that the other has on us

Nightjar,

yes, I would agree to that. If most personal planets are in 2nd house, this could indeed point towards a very unbalanced relationship.

But what, if you have natally some personal planets in the 2nd house and someone else puts his planets into your 2nd house, conjuncting your own 2nd house planets?
I can`t imagine t hat being too bad (if your own planets aren`t afflicted).

Or another example:
Let`s say, someone has the ruler of his descendant in 11th house, wouldn`t he enjoy it, if someone elses planets fell into his 11th house?

Hmm, strange.

Well, my personal experiences are quite on the opposite end. But I guess, people are just different.

darkdreamer, do you know by any chance a real life couple reg. your 11th house example? Sorry, this is a little detour, but I'm just curious because I have exactly this combination with someone i.e. my venus and mercury both conjunct his venus and mercury in his 11th house. His mercury being his 7th house ruler (posititoned in his 11th house). Many thanks.

Annaf,

no, I don`t know any real - life - couple with that particular constellation, unless you count my ongoing crush.
His ruler of the 7th house, Mercury, is in his 11th house conjunct his Mars. And my Venus is conjunct that Mercury-Mars-conjunction. But as I said, that is nothing real, but one can dream, can she not? And he is so dreamworthy.

But I checked some other synastries, looking for the ruler of the 7th house falling in a particular house, which has conjunctions to the other ones planets.

Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith:
The ruler of his 7th house falls onto the end of his 10th house and could be counted into his 11th house, too, and Melanie`s Venus-Pluto-conjunction is conjunct his ruler of 7th house, which involves quite some hot aspects like Venus-Mars, Venus-Pluto, Mars-Pluto. But it all falls into the 10th / 11th house, which usually don`t signify "hot" relationships.
The ruler of her 7th house, Mercury, falls onto the cusp of her 6th house; and Antonio`s Sun, Mars, Pluto, Uranus fall into her 6th house (but not conjuncting her MErcury).

My dad`s 7th house ruler, Neptune, falls into his 2nd house; and as I said, my mum`s Sun, Saturn and Neptune fall into his 2nd house as well (only the generational Neptune-Neptune-conjunction).
My mum`s 7th house ruler, SAturn, falls into her 4th house; my dad`s ASC, SAturn, Mars and NEptune fall into her 4th house (his ASC, Saturn conjunct her Venus-Mars-conjunct in 4th house; his Mars is conjunct her 7th house ruler, Saturn).

my best friend`s husband has Sun, as ruler of the 7th house, which falls into his 1st house in conjunct with his ASC; my best friend`s DSC is conjunct his Sun and ASC in his 1st house.

Johnny Depp`s 7th house ruler is in his 2nd house and conjunc this Mars and Pluto; his partner`s MC is conjunct that stellium in the 2nd house.

Those were just a few examples, I know, not statistically relevant, but it seems to indicate that the ruler of 7th house plays a major role in attractions, that actually lead to relationships.

yes, I'm dreaming as well :-)....

In any case I definitely agree that the ruler of the 7th house is very significant!! My 7th house ruler is saturn (which is in my first house)and whenever I've had strong feelings for someone that person's personal planets formed either conjunctions or oppositions with my saturn.

Annaf,

I imagine that those opposition to your 7th house ruler must also be felt pretty strong, since the other`s planets fall into your 7th house.

You said, you have Saturn as 7th house ruler. Does that influence how you experience the conjuncting planets?
For example:
Let`s say someone has his mars conjunct your Saturn;
Thta would of course be a Saturn-Mars-conjunction, but also a conjunction of their Mars to your 7th house ruler, being similiar to a Venus-Mars-conjunction (maybe). Do you feel that you experience that Mars - 7th house ruler- conjunction in a Saturnian way? Or doesn`t it matter, that it`s Saturn, which rules your 7th house?

Hi Darkdreamer,

I've never had someone's mars on my saturn, so unfortunately I cant relate to that particular scenario, but have repeatedly had someone's venus or mercury there. To be honest, I dont think it makes a difference that it is saturn which is my 7th house ruler. I feel extremely comfortable with saturnian energy, because I have so much capricorn in my chart and probably because saturn (together with jupiter) is my strongest planet. But having said that, I also like saturn contacts from the other person, so without strong saturn links, either way, I guess I dont feel much.

Regarding saturn as my 7th house ruler, I probably should add, that it is also my 8th house ruler, so contacts to my saturn will trigger deeply romantic and sexual feelings. Also my saturn opposite someone's elses venus, puts their venus in my 7th house, conjuncting my own venus in the 7th house, and I've noticed that this is THE one contact where i'm just hooked, immediately.

So I guess what I'm saying is, that I completely agree with your theory on 7th house rulership, but that i might not be the best case study, because of my 7th house whihc sort of muddles the whole mix and i guess it's then not really clear whether I'm reacting to 7th house ruler saturn or my 7th house venus ...and sun and mercury :-)....

But one thing i'd like to add, it might be useful to have a look at the relative strength of the particular house ruler. Even if it's not the 7th house ruler. Just one example to clarify what I mean. Friend of mine has found the love of her life two years ago, and I never really understood the depth of her reaction to him, just looking at their synastry chart (or the composite). (She had left her former boyfriend after 7 years for this man.)Anyway,a stellium of his personal planets fell in her 11th house....And in synastry two conjunctions from his personal planets to her pluto. Ok, pluto connections are quite strong anyway, but it seems in her case they have a particular significance...turns out her 11th house is ruled by pluto and pluto (she had a chart once done) is by far the strongest planet in her chart. So who knows this might also be a factor to be taken into consideration, how strong is the particualr planet in your chart. For instance uranus is very weak in my chart and even though it is placed in my 5th house, I really dont react to strong Uranus contacts, either way. Just a thought.
