How many degrees of separation do you use for the different aspects when you involve asteroids? Do you need a smaller number? Like 3 say for conjunct?

How do you discern what is too close/far when aspecting planets in the chart?

I use 2 degrees separation maximum for asteroids. Conjunctions alone, when there is a double whammy, I use 3.5 degrees.
