Oh, there are so many ways to make a match. An exciting relation needs harmony, but conflict, too. There should be enough differences between the two, for them to remain curious of one another.
Comparing two complete horoscopes is a big job, of course... Traditionally, you look at the 7th House of each, which shows how they treat their relations. Also, check out aspects between their sun, moon, Venus, and Mars. Sun and moon are more important, but Venus and Mars tell a lot about their sexual appetites. Venus is how you want to receive, Mars how you want to give.
But really, you need to compare the complete horoscopes. It may take longer than some relations last

Ha...I have Venus in Gemini...I like to "recieve" poetry and have songs sang to me!(Those Mercury-ruled Gemini communication skills are a must!)And emails don't hurt either!LOL!Sounds so accurate!I never thought of Venus/Mars as recieving/giving.But yea,Sun/Moon aspects are important.It's best for them to be in the same element(trine),or a complimentary element(sextile).Sun-Moon conjunction can be powerful from what i hear,but sometimes TOO powerful!
