Topic: Planets/placements for writers?

Hi all!!Was just wondering on this lately. What planets/placements would make a good writer?? I was thinking maybe gemini/ virgo/ scorpio for the imagination.etc. Anyone any thoughts on this?? Thanks IP: Logged |

I have a loaded 3rd house with Aqua planets and my sun is Pisces...I write all of the time. I can write far better than I speak! I am writing a book now, write poetry, manuscripts, even just a line or two to express what is inside me. I have been told my writings are mystical, but written so that people can understand what I am trying to say (usually  ) Look to your 3rd house and Mercury's placement. Your sun will tell where your writings come from and Merc/3rd will tell how you communicate. IP: Logged |

I have wondered this myself! I am going to be studying writing in the fall. I think that a gemini placements are good indicators. I also think a very strong mercury which rules communication is helpful. Also, libra placements give an appreciation for art. I think any aspects between mercury,jupiter and neptune and mars is good. Or a very strong jupiter and Sagittarius is helpful because they rule publishing and entertainment. For instance, My friend has a degree in communications and she is going into journalism. She has moon and sun in Sag and a rising in libra. I have gem rising of course, and mercury conjunct both neptune and mercuty in Sag. IP: Logged |

I consider myself a writer. I've had some works published in local newspapers and anthologies since I was 9 years old (I'm almost 21 now). It's my greatest and most well-developed talent, at least. Possibly most overlooked in my opinion. I'm better at fictional or promotional/persuasive writing than non-fiction or "expository". Probably all the Sagittarius influence tied into my aspects. I have a Sagittarius AC, with Jupiter in Pisces...in the 3rd house. My 3rd house ruler, Uranus (in Sag) is conjunct my AC and square Jupiter. Mars in Aqua (disposited by Uranus) is in 2nd house (talents) and is singleton in Air (communications). My Mercury is Scorp in the 12th and forms one aspect...a conjunction to Venus. Venus in Scorp (ruler of my 5th, 6th, and 10th)is then trined by Jupiter.
..Sun (9th ruler) conj. Pluto gives strength to publishing/story telling/embellishing I guess. Virgo intercepted in 9th...gives Mercury more influence I suppose... ( Ihave an issue with excessive with punitive detail in my writing..probably my biggest issue..being OVER descriptive haha) Pisces intercepted in my 3rd house, with Neptune in my 1st. **I notice there's a lot of water going on as well...which probably ties into the imagination theory. I've got Moon in Leo (creativity) in the 8th quincunx Jupiter...and Moon trine Uranus (3rd ruler)... Anyway, enough about me...Just some placements I'd through out there... Maybe an aspect of Mercury to Jupiter...somehow tying into the 3rd/9th axis? Strong emphasis on the 3rd house with strong, "positive" aspects to the 3rd house/9th house ruler. Water/fire planets for creativity..enthusiasm..imagination.. Connections to the 6th house/MC ------------------

I think having neptune aspects would help especially if it aspects Mercury, which does wonders for the imagination. Pluto aspecting Mercury can make your writing powerful and can have a profound impact on others.IP: Logged |

yeah, i can write A LOTTT better than i can speak. poetry is my favorite thing to write and i always like to write people emails to communicate instead of calling them. my poetry/prose borders on the line of very surreal and i tend to write about surreal scenes, love and nature.i have saturn, moon and uranus in my 3rd house. i have a mercury in pisces in my 5th house. i also have pluto trine my mercury and pluto transitting my 3rd house. i also have a libra rising which i attribute to this a little bit. i used to write in a very abstract way (which i like reading) but after a poetry class this past semester i started writing with a lot more concrete details and my writing is a lot better and was completely transformed in a matter of a semester. it was one of the few accomplishments in college that i'm really proud of. Hmmm i was lookin at my natal and this is what ive found: Does it helps on achievning mmy dream?-I have a Libra Asc(5º25´Libra)
- 3rd house in Sag with:Uranus,neptune and jupiter.
Jup skuares sun,and venus;trines mars.sextiles mercury and ascendant.oposes moon.
Uranus skuares sun,venus.sextiles mercury and ascendant also.
Neptune trines sun and venus.sextiles saturn,pluto.oposes TrueNode,Par Fortune and MC.
My Mercury is in the 12th house in 0º20´Libra.
All my Merc aspects are:
trine moon,semisextile Venus,sextile jup,uranus,skuares nep,semisextile pluto,trines kiron,conjuncts Ascendant and skuares MC.
MY TRUENODE conjuncts PartFortune in 0ºorb in my 9th house in Gem.
I Have my Sun in Virgo,which conjunct Venus,squares Jup,Uranus and Kiron.Sextiles saturn and MC AND it trines Neptune and pallas and Juno. WAHT I WRITE most about is Love  IP: Logged |

My training was in Journalism, but i'm now more interested in Creative Writing. I would like to write screenplays in my native language in the future. I have:Mercury conjunct Neptune in Sagittarius in 6th House, very close to the DC
Gemini Ascendant
Sun/Moon conjunct in Scorpio in 6th House
Venus and Mars in Libra

You would need a strong 11th house for knowing people who can help. Other ways to do this rather than through friends.6th house linked to Mercury/3rd/Gemini in some way. Strong 3rd house, but squares are not always bad in this case, it can indicate promblems with writing and thinking, but also a different way of doing things. Uranus conjunct Neptune conjunct 3rd house in Capricorn sextile Mercury in Pisces, but also opposite Mars in Cancer. So it is likely I won't write. I don't even like writing. It's a labour, I'd much rather just think.IP: Logged |
