Recently I found out a coworker was bad mouthing me to another coworker. I already knew she was no good but ignored it because it didn't want to hate anyone at work than I found out about the offensive comment she said about me. I fumed, but calmed myself down, by repressing my emotions. I didn't want to confront her because than she would know that the person who told me snitched on her. I wished I confronted her than and there instead of bottling up anger. I find that this is a constant pattern in my life, letting things go for the sake of decorem and peace instead of venting and confronting people. The anger always hits me later making me regret not confronting anyone.

I hear you.

I do the exact same thing... Taurus sun, Libra rising.

I have so much patience people ask me "how do you stay so calm? Why are you so soft?"

I'm learning to be more assertive but i avoid conflict like plaque and would rather take it on the chin than offend someone but sometimes you just have to stick it back. I've been screwed over so many times by people and close friends because i put to much trust and faith in people which is sad because i'm the one that gets hurt the most in the end.

Like they say in Australia...i need to learn to "Harden the F*&K up and eat some cement" HAHAHA

um.. it may be the moon in sag thing ya' got going on? I have my sun there and typically fit the description to a "T".

I am great at standing up for others even going into conflict on their behalf but not for "me". It's all about peace and letting things go, then later regret that I took no action.

I also find it extremely difficult to put a friend or co-worker in a position of having snitched because this in itself is a big taboo in my book. Something told in confidence and trust is just that, and will be protected at all costs!

Keys words here tell me we're talking about your moon:

quote:
I fumed, but calmed myself down, by repressing my emotions.

Moon is all about emotions....

The Taurus sun must make it even more difficult as you can be so comfortable with debate perhaps even crave it... LOL!

Though I too, have Libra influences at the 7th house as well as moon there... I believe this is a Sag thing -rose colored glasses and such

My heart genuinely goes out to you.
Be true to who you are.

It sounds like you have Mars in a weak sign, or negative aspects thereto. Is your Mars in Cancer?
Your Moon in Sagittarius certainly is not responsible for this.

I don't have weak Mars. I have Mars in Scorpio, in retrograde.

Well, your mars is retrograde so maybe that explains a bit.

But even so, mars in scorp is known for its "smoldering" anger. Its not quick tempered like an aries mars would be. This is the type of mars alot that doesn't display nay sort of temper until the straw breaks the camel's back..........then you explode. Its kind of similar to a taurus mars in that respect.

It's definitely the Taurus. I have moon, ascendent and Saturn in Taurus and it's all about control. I do axactly what you do and sometimes when I'm alone I vent out loud and imagine the person is infront of me I feel sorry for the person at the receiving end should you blow you'll just go blind!

Sag is very upfront (talk first and think later). I experience this alot with my Sag Mercury. You need to channel your energies right. Your Sag Moon is urging you to confront the issue but the Taurus in you is holding you back.

Junity - in that case i totally understand. I have had the same thing before. I also have Mars in Scorpio like you so i understand where you're coming from. I think because it's in retrograde it's more pronounced in you. I would describe it as someone pi$$Es you off but instead of flooring them immediately like say a Mars in Aries would do, it smoulders as someone said, and takes a time to rouse, by which time it's too late. I've experienced what you describe before and know exactly what you mean. I think Mars in Scorpio works best behind the scenes rather than public confrontation. I've always been shy or embarrased of fighting in public (unlike my Mars in Aries friends!!), but not scared of anyone when i'm on my own with them. Does that make sense?? I think you'll understand what i mean.

Junity,
With my mars in libra, funking out of confrontaiton is a specialty, mostly when right is on my side (a quixoctic streak, wants to fight battles it can't win....lol).
Sometimes it's for the best. Yesterday discovered a coworker said bad things to our employer about me. He's one of my best friends, so he told me right away, begging me not to say anything.
There was steam comming out of my ears, she's spoiled and difficult and has been making my life a misery and has the nerve to talk me down to one of my best friends!
Tempting to blow the whole thing up in her face, but out of loyalty to my mate, kept stumm. Was such a good move..... it's possible be nice to this chick, knowing I've got her number, intuitivly she knows it to. It has given me controll of the situation.....and the moral of the story is sometimes a secret smile is more effective than a bridge burnnning confrontation.

I'm a Virgo and I do the exact same thing. I also have a 7th house stellium. The only difference between you and I is that I actually like that I have that trait and I'm glad in the end that I didn't help the person stir up some kind of juvenile trouble. I don't lower myself to their level and I know it would just make me more angry if I started telling them off. I might make a comment about how rude they are when I know I'm in an emotional state where I'm not going to start screaming at them, but it's always in the most civilized way possible. I'm a REALLY non-confrontational person, but I never let people walk all over me either. I always just try to mind my own business.

Yeah, I have the 7th house stellium, too. That's why I asked about any Libra or 7th house influences.

I also have the Mars in Scorpio, so I may not deal with something initially, but if the slight is serious enough my Mars in Scorpio will whip out it's stinger at the most opportune moment.

Taurus Sun
Sagi Moon
Capricorn ASC here

I am the same, despite direct Mars in Aries. I just physically cannot stand disharmony and fighting, my Sagi Moon always believes in best in people so I try to be patient and understanding and sort things out by being even more friendly as long as I can and then I just end up hating myself for letting anger bottle up and things get worse. And when this moment comes, I kind of lose control...I become so angry and spiteful that the person just gets 'WOW! what have I done?!"
I understand that I overreact but I can't do anything about it. I never shout, my rage is always cold, I hiss and threaten like a snake and once I am like that it is very difficult for me to let go and I can hold grudges for a very long time is that a Pluto/Mars opposition?
I need to learn to confort people like Libras do and express my anger in a healthier way but I find it VERY VERY difficult south node in Aries

edited to add: lol I just love this smiley

QUOTE: It sounds like you have Mars in a weak sign, or negative aspects thereto. Is your Mars in Cancer?

Dear Marsconjunctmercury, this is a huge misunderstanding concerning Mars in Cancer - says one who has Mars in late Cancer/8th house, 5 degree conjunct Mercury (in early Leo).

Cancer is a cardinal sign, therefore: a sign of action. Just in the described case - being offended by someone - Mars in Cancer would react. Because that would be a case of self-defense. Cancer-Mars is a strong protector and defender, and since it is of cardinal quality, sometimes it hits you even BEFORE you have offended them.

So: no cowardize with Cancer-Mars, no way!

The advantage of having Cancer-qualities is: being underestimated very often. That's, when we usually strike back. ;-)

I know 2 persons with Mars in Cancer (one is retro) they express their anger by being manipulative but they are not weak... neither they are chicken-hearted.

Interesting. I think that pretty much describes me, as well... Minus a few rare cases. I was thinking it was my strong Scorpio/Sag conflicting with my Gemini moon and Libra MC. But, after reading your comments, I think it would be more than likely be an afflicted Mars. My Mars is part of a Sag Stellium that straddles my 12th house cusp (Mercury and Neptune in the 12th house and Mars in the 11th) and part of a T-Square with my Saturn (squared) and my Moon (opposed). Given its conjunction with Neptune (in the 12th), square Saturn, and opposition to my Moon, I suppose that might say a lot... LOL!

I seem to attract weird men ( see my thread about attracting the opposite gender when your sun and venus are conjunct.). He touched my arm and i took out all my anger and frustration on him. Afterwards i was still angry and wanted to get violent, because i felt as if i didn't make enough of an impact by just yelling at him. The anger is growing.

I think it's important to find a healthy outlet for it, like kickboxing. Sure patience is a virtue, but only to those blessed with it.

I hate it when people take advantage or me or think im stupid because i usually appear too cheerful and laugh too much (sag asc).

I may not feel anything when i find out people did something bad to me (taurus moon & 1st house venus). But as times goes i'd get angrier and angrier. Somehow i'd finally accidentally do something to them without intending to. Then i'd feel a little satisfied but at the same time guilty.

Its silly. I have Mars in Cancer in 8th and Pluto in Scorpio in 12th. I also often appear nice and forgiving in front of people. Might be my Taurus moon and first house venus.

house rulership will tell you more about what you repress, where and how it bursts out (the house with aries on cusp; the house containing mars)
