I was just wondering if anyone else here with their Moon in 12th house come across to others as being unemotional or it seems people view you as aloof or unfeeling? I have this problem, people seem to constantly see me as being distant towards them(emotional wise)withdrawn in some way. When in reality I don't mean to appear this way at all, I do feel very intensely, mabe alittle to much sometimes...------------------ Sun in Libra Moon in Cancer Jupiter in Cancer Venus in Virgo Mars in Cancer Ascendant in Cancer I "FEEL" therefor I am IP: Logged |

Are all your cancer planets in the 12th house? And where is your Sun...possibly in the 4th? Cancer Moon's feel very deeply but can also be self protective (remember the crabs shell) hiding in order to defend such vulnerablity. Planets in the 12th can often be very hidden (or overtly obvious) and uknown to the outside world. Cancer risings are very sensitive but again if you feel too vulnerable you may hide behind a protective wall. If your Sun is hidden in the 4th house (cancers natural home) it would only add to your seemingly withdrawn nature. However those who know you well probably understand the depth of your emotional nature. In my experience when you mention a strong emotional nature to anyone with a cancer moon...you don't get a big aggreement or a vocal assurance of all their intensity.....you usually get a quiet nod and one little tear escapes while their eyes well up.IP: Logged |

That was a good guess, my Sun is in the 4th house...just my Moon and Jupiter are in 12th house, some astro sites interpet my Mars in 12th even though it's really in 1st house.------------------ Sun in Libra Moon in Cancer Jupiter in Cancer Venus in Virgo Mars in Cancer Ascendant in Cancer I "FEEL" therefor I am IP: Logged |

I have a 12th house Moon (conjunct Venus) and like you, have been told I'm aloof and distant. My good friend said that it's hard to know what I'm feeling because my face is inscrutable. On top of that, my Moon is squared closely to Saturn and my Draconic Moon is in Capricorn. I've always had trouble understanding and accepting my feelings and instinctively try to block them off when they arise, especially negative ones. I tend to give off the impression that I'm a bit cold and don't need others. Really, that can't be further from the truth.IP: Logged |

Yes, all the time. Always giving off mixed signals... I even confuse myself . Plus, my Moon is close to the ASC, making me Cancer-like. Moods that change with the tides, eh? Zat's me. On top of that, it squares Sun/10th and Saturn/Pluto in the 4th. I've been called bashful and shy, or cold and aloof (bad etiquette, doesn't even try, etc.). My emotions are intense. It's just in their expression that I feel a bit stunted.IP: Logged |

Yes, I have a moon in 12th house in cancer with a lovely cancer sun to deal with. Many people tell me I'm very hard to read and seem distant. I don't want people to know my feelings, I've been hurt many times by people I thought I could trust. I also have jupiter and chiron there.IP: Logged |

I just love it girl!!! Perfection doesn't exist I know, but that doesn't mean that we have to be mediocre!! To me it's not about perfection, but more about pushing your limits, getting out of that comfort zone, taking risks, discover the unknown,I just love that!! I love to put my heart and my head into something and make it happen,no matter how hard things will be. IP: Logged |

I know I can't reach perfection either but I try to put in the best effort in every thing I do. I almost see it as a reflection of my abilities. As for pushing the envelope, I always attempted the most difficult essays when I was in school to see if I could successfully argue them. lol. I naturally wanted a good grade but where is the fun arguing an easy point?IP: Logged |

I think I told someone on here that the 12th house is the house that is most challenging for most signs to be in. Any position on the 12th means that that planet will have difficulty expressing itself openly. So, with the Moon in Cancer, this makes you a very receptive, absorbing and emotional person. Moon in Cancer can, positively, have the need to nurture and responds gently to others. On the negative, it can be fearful of uncertainty and can be cranky when not given enough attention. Now, with the Moon in this sign and in the 12th house, the Cancer qualities described above are still there, but there is inhibition in expressing them. This position is not all that bad-given that Cancer and the Moon and the 12th house share qualities of being sensitive and private. As a result, the more "emotional" nature is often kept reserved and one takes a more "passive" stance in response to things. You keep your inner most feelings to yourself and , unless the Moon aspects Mars natally, you shouldn't feel that much frustration as Cancer's secretive and moody nature is inhibited in this position. Maybe that is why others see you as "aloof"? They don't get an immediate response from you. Unlike the Moon being in another position, you don't seem to have your emotions all "out there". Moon in 12th absorbs the environment and "blends" with it. They don't "assert" themselves on it, but move along with it. "Going with the flow" is how I should describe it. Not responding with much assertion, nor resistance. There is an almost consistent "indifference" in how one moves along in daily life. And that is what others see. Again, aspects to Mars will colour the expression a little differently
