What are geo trine, helio trine and grand trine?

Geo = earth
Helio = solar / sun
Grand trine = a trine with 3 planets - often in the same element (fire, water, air, earth)

Does that help? You may get a better explanation if you google it

yes, you helped. thank you- a man looked at my chart and said, among other things, i had these three trines- does that make any sense?

By a wide majority, professional astrologers use a Geocentric (Earth centered) chart.

A few use heliocentric (Sun centered) charts, tho I think these are best used to read general (earth-wide) trends.

If you had a Grand Trine in either version of your chart, you would have it in both--BUT, the signs would be different.
