What does it mean to have Pluto in Scorpio in the tenth house? Does it indicate possible ruthlessness?

Well I wouldn't look at it that way. Theres much more to a position than a position. What are the major aspects to your pluto? if its not negatively aspected to the moon, jupiter, etc. and is, trine chiron, for example, it could be a healing potential, but never call out the negative first, just wait until you get all the details before you make an assumption.

It can. But then again, it is your choice to let it go that way.
I have that one too... plus my best-friend, Saturn hehe... What can I say... I sure make an impression on people! Most of them either hate me, envy me, fear me or obsess about me. Oh well... I hope one day people will feel *transformed* by me, but I'm not there yet.
Good luck to you with that one!

I have:

Pluto Conjunct Midheaven
Venus Opposition Pluto
Moon Square Pluto
Mars Trine Pluto
Neptune Sextile Pluto

So far I've just been mistrustful and ambitious, but I haven't been ruthless.

I have Pluto in my 10th - and it does play a big role in my life. I don't want to go into details here, but yes: I do come on strong, I have the ability to "make my point known" and somehow I cannot help but get noticed, especially in my professional life. This is rather and advantage than a disadvantage of course. But it can be a burden sometimes ... Because I feel that many things I do have an impact on other people, even if I don't intend it so. So I must treat carefully sometimes. I also feel like I am "on a mission" somehow, arrogant as this may sound. ;-) And: I feel quite "singular" very often, as if I had to do the job on my own, no one around who could support me or anything. Somehow it makes me a very strong loner. It took a while (some years!) to accept this strength. It seems impossible for me to hide. Nowadays, as an adult, I can accept that. But I do know that I seem to frighten some people sometime. It gives me a lot self-confidence - if only that wouldn't sacre some (weaker) beings off so easily...;-)

PS: My Pluto is in Virgo, but sextiles my ASC in scorpio and sextiles my 8th-house-Sun and -Mars as well (both in Cancer). So ... Scorpio is a very strong influence here, in fact Pluto is the leading planet in my chart.

Alvarella, you hit it right on the nail! I do get noticed quite a bit at my job, though this is not always an advantage for me because I always have to shoulder a large amount of responsibility.

Also, my friends depend a great deal on me to solve their problems and when I can't solve their problems, I tend to feel very guilty. In addition, whenever I run into a problem of my own, I prefer to tackle it alone rather than asking others for help.
