Babe, you're a Scorpio sun . Have a bit more conviction in your words.

Now from what I can extrapolate, I am guessing you're tired of the fact that there are so many threads created on Synasty and such topics without even an attempt by the people to actually visit sites like asto.com to reaserch these aspects first.

I am completely with you if this was your complaint. And it seems the same people ask the same questions again and again even when they are thoroughly answered.

Yea, I just exploded...and then I pulled it all back because I figured all the newbies would mount their horses and come after me

But seriously, I don't mind giving the help. But when I feel people just skip over the obvious steps, like using the resources that others provided to help people just like them...and want someone else to give them the answers all the time it irks me.

And then they have the nerve to get mad about it! (When no one answers)..

The information is there for us to use. What is LL's majority but people at the same level of knowledge laced with those who have a little more expertise than the average?

Chances are asking the same question over and over again is going to get you the same answer. Especially if the answer is right in front of your face, all you have to do is look for it. And if it's a basic question like "What does Venus in the 7th house mean?"

If you looked it up and really don't understand, fair enough. But if you just decide to come on LL expecting some magic responses guess again...

Maybe it's me. I just don't understand it.

Not the synastry ones so much cuz that can be somewhat confusing to interpret correctly, especially to those who aren't comfortable with interpretation. But yea! The simple ones like "I have the Sun conjunct Mars, can some plzzz plzzzz tell me what that means?!"

And what I said before was me blowing up in Mercury in Scorpio fashion, haha. But my Mercury conjunct Venus always wants to be the diplomat.

Hey I am a Libra in Sun and Venus in the 3rd but I know there are times when one has to be assertive , and this is definately one of those times.

As I said, your complaint isn't unreasonable in any sense. In my opinion even the mods have linked people up with site links for help which the people in turn completely ignore and bump threads anyway.

Yeap, guilty over here.... I just don't get the conjuctions and trines and all that! I am sorry!
But I know now how to create charts, go to cafeastrology to find out what my venus will do with someone else's venus or Mars.
I don't really care that much for the astroclick partner though, this is why I am still asking people about 1st meeting charts, which is like synastry ....

Again...sorry, but, I JUST DON"T GET IT MAN!

aah I should hide somewhere, coz back then I got into LL to get a free synastry analysis (there was a thread back then that offered everyone a free synastry reading) lol.. XP
I also started a thread for a personal synastry analysis back then, but I already knew the basics before (using astro.com, researching by net).. ^_^ it was coz I was curious of other astrologers' opinions as well..
But well, now I'm still at LL coz here I can learn and share my interests/opinions in astrology with many people.. ^_^

I have to agree with you guys, those noobs should at least try to research something by themselves first.. >_<; it's not that others should hand everything to them in a silver plate.. LL is not charity, is a place where people share their knowledge and opinions about astrology, so we could learn more and more with each other..

But well, about them asking the same question over and over again.. Sometimes, people find it hard to hear the negative things and while thinking "it must be something good in this", they might just impulsively ask for more answers for the same question.. ^_^; After all, who wouldn't want to hear prettier things about their love relationships? I also passed through that lol.. XP but well, give them time to swallow the opinions lol.. XP

*my 323 post~! XD my bday number ahah~*

I am interested in astrology a lot and am always willing to learn more. I might be a newbie here but not a beginner. Before joining this forum i`ve read almost all the pages (around 300) even if it took me quite a long time. i asked some questions here (and on other forums) just because i haven`t found answers googling.

Any more complains miss Alanabelle ?

Yes... though Sun sign is certainly important.

I don't mind newbies. I'm only interested in the Astrology section off and on these days. If the old-timers won't help the newbies, then maybe the other newbies will help them, and if they keep it interesting enough, then the old-timers will likely trickle in to see what's going on.

Newbies, there's also an Astrology forum at astro.com if you don't get enough of an answer here. It's a different crowd and feel over there, but they have sections for specific selfish topics such as "Personal: Please Read My Chart."
