Pluto transits are cool and ironically very straight forward…rather than coming up from behind. Like a great diva, it barges into our lives, arms up in the air, declaring “I’m here!”

quote:
Transiting Pluto brings intensity and focus to our lives. Pluto breaks through illusions, in search of the utter truth. These are not Saturn truths, when we see things for what they are in a mundane or material sense. Pluto probes much deeper, shining light on our darkness. Transiting Pluto offers us the chance to evolve and to rebirth. Pluto acts to strip away what is unnecessary or superficial in our lives. Pluto wants deep experience, of the transformational kind. Things that are not working for us, whether they are thought processes or lifestyles, undergo a transformation. Pluto transits bring about rebirths of sorts in the areas of life affected. Pluto transits are about letting go of things that are holding us back from deep and meaningful experience. http://www.cafeastrology.com/plutotransits.html

Some of the most dramatic points in my life occurred when Pluto touched my chart. So I figured why not make a string discussing our experiences with certain transits – or progression! I think will come in handy to anyone about to experience a certain transit or prog.

*hint* anyone experienced Pluto conj south node may add something if they wish*hint*

When transit Pluto:

Conj natal Neptune: I believe this happens to everyone at a certain time. Pluto is going through the basement of my subconscious trying to make me more spiritual – and its working! Great informative books that I have never heard of have found their way into my life. Once in a while I’ll even experience a “spiritual high”…tho it’s rather weak considering I’m not that deep. But it’s really lovely, Pluto is deeply helping me face my inner demons and learn to overcome them.

Square Moon: I experienced emotional growth. I wasn’t as superficial as before, was less afraid of social stigma. Can’t say it was a happy time, but it wasn’t pull blown depressing either. Though there was a touch of melancholy.

Passed through 10th house: it’s still going through it and boy of boy is this fun! I’ve had to face authority figures, deal with issues of my farther, and have my “public image” shattered and rebuilt. More recently, I moved, which was hardly a nice experience. Got a job. Hated it. Got another job. Hate it less. I don’t really know how to deal with the 10th house, so I’m finding this difficult. Can’t figure out what Pluto is trying to tell me

*I know someone with this who recently got married when it hit her MC! Also someone who got divorced and lost their home :/

Further back

Passed through 9th house: first time I started to question religion. I was a child, and my mother’s conservative family did not approve. I was told it wasn’t right to ask questions…that one act caused me to dislike anything related to religion.

Conj natal Jupiter: after years of questioning religion, I finally became an atheist.
With Pluto in my 9th it wasn’t like I sat around and meditated all day…it didn’t consume my life. It just changed my viewpoint of life. I mean no heaven or hell? No God? It’s a brand new world!

My old cold Pluto has been chilling with my moon in the 5th house. And Saturn is boulder thumping itself in my first-2nd Saturn return- Many truths I have to handle, no room for denial ( i'm trying, i'm trying)LOL! I generally love my icy Pluto but am studying, accepting, and working on "The truth and nothing but the truth" concerning some "I'll deal with it later" stuff

Thanks for posting...this is a lot of valuable information.

I feel menaced by Neptune transits but have enjoyed my Pluto experiences...I think I like the straightforwardness.

as far as tranasits are concerned I love using the book (The art of Predictive astrology) by Carol Rushman. She gives great insight on pluto, Neptune, and Uranian transits. even in houses and aspects to other planets.

Also, There is a book I wan't to get does anyone have it, tell me if it is worth getting. ( The Astrological Neptune and The Quest for Redemption) By: Liz Greene

If you want to read some excerpts, I have Neptune in the 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th and 10th copied from the book. Is your Neptune in any of those houses??

Hey Aqua Inferno!

I had Pluto conjunct South Node, and I will have it again soon. Dramatic, indeed! Everyone who's been on the forum in March-April probably knows my threads from back then. It was the most disruptive period of my life. But I did receive some important and valuable gifts. I want to point out that a certain dramatic event happened when Pluto conjuncted (at exact degree and minute) my South MEAN Node, not the True one, and this is why I started using this one. I think I read here that Linda also prefered the Mean Node.
So... about Pluto... he is transiting my 12th house, conjuncting my South Node, Moon and Neptune (all 3 are pretty tight conjuncted, so it hit me pretty hard). I don't think it would be too much of an exageration to say that I felt like the world was coming to an end. Well, mine did, at least. A lot of things, projects, relationships, interests were terminated and it all happened at once. I went through some very painful medical procedures (some without anaesthesia) and I also connect this with Pluto. Physical and emotional pain... But you know what? it gives me now this very empowering feeling, that I am no longer afraid of pain. I feel a lot stronger after going through that hell before Pluto turned retro.
Well, I said it also brought gifts. I am becoming more spiritually attuned, I had premonitory dreams (4 of them, and they all came true, some the very next day), I am also more intuitive and more sensitive to my environment and the people around me (sometimes I think I am able to read them so completely). It is amazing! Oh, and I did a lot of research about my past lives (12th house transit); I received answers in meditation and dreams.
Probably the most valuable gift is the fact that I think I met "the one". There is a lot of karmic stuff between us, with plenty of double-whammies, but it ain't smooth sailing. Iqhunk said we shared many lifetimes together, probably as husband and wife [this I didn't manage to ''see'' in my dreams, but I am very hopeful, with Pluto making a comeback on my 3 musketeers].

Other aspects Pluto did lately: trine my Mercury (I have an opposition natally, so it helped me change the hard energy of these 2 planets into a softer one); trine my Mars (natally opposition - same thing; I think one of the biggest changes it brought to my psyche is the awareness of my negative Plutonian side, that I am trying to change currently); sextile my Saturn and Pluto, trine my Vertex.
One aspect I also felt very abruptly was the conjuncion to my Uranus, 9 years ago. It rocked my world, also in a negative way. Well, since it didn't kill me, it made me a lot stronger.

Transiting Mars recently opposed my natal Pluto and I had an accident that's making a very slow recovery.

Transiting Pluto is currently conjunct my ascendant, squaring my natal Pluto. I feel much stronger and better than I did throughout the last part of the transit of Pluto through my 12th house. This current transit probably feels ok to me because of my natal Pluto square ascendant and because of my Scorpio moon.

Aqua-inferno - I DESPERATELY need Pluto advice. Check this out, in the next year I'm gonna be encountered with:

1. Pluto conjunct Sun
2. Pluto conjunct Ascendant
3. Pluto conjunct Merc
4. Pluto conjunct Venus
5. Pluto conjunct Neptune

and NOT only that, I also have

1. Progressed moon in Scorpio atm
including 2. Progressed midheaven in Scorpio
and as if this wasn't enough, Pluto has decided to sextile my Moon too, my Saturn is in the 8th house.

Its like all these little symbols of Pluto everywhere and I'm scared, cause supposedly Pluto transits are tough stuff.

Hi ya'll - you guys really find it hard! I can understand, perhaps I'm just biased with pluto and conveniently *forget* the mishaps :/
I agree Saturn & Neptune transits are quite difficult, perhaps more than pluto. Saturn feels like a teacher looking over my shoulder, while Neptune is like a bad trip :/ haha the best thing about them is once they’re over I get this fantastic new perspective. With pluto I come out stronger...and a little shaken

Thanks for the book recommendation VS. There’s not a lot of great places to read about outer planet transits. I don’t particularly like astro.com forecast, as it’s vague and doesn’t really apply, so I’ve stopped reading it…and the ones that are good are too short. So looking forward to getting this book plus cafeastrology gave it an A! I love Liz green btw! I got a report from her and it’s brill! Can’t wait to start collecting her books! She’s so perceptive and on point!

Izodesmozina I love you!!!!!
I figured both being karmic influences ( Pluto & SN ) some major stuff is about to happen! With your SN in Sagittarius did you find you had to leave behind the negative Saggy traits and replace them with positive Gemini traits? Same with Pisces & virgo?
I got the book from Jan Spiller, and she goes deeply into nodes and things we must leave behind. I want to ask was the difficult stuff you had to go through south node related. Here’s the links to zala’s strings about the nodes
http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/007992.html
http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/008001.html

Cappyme no way!! Pluto is passing your stellium!(sp?)
I have been through Pluto conj nat Neptune – honestly that ok. Very spiritual time, and if you dig deep enough, it’s quite lovely!
But there is a dark side, let ther be light mentioned it. I do remember difficult moments with it since it hit in Jan.

but it’s funny…while Pluto is bringing up old fears and issues, it’s also showing me the light at the same time. I now get why others see it in dark light. GemLover was also kind enough to share - she mentioned Pluto trans nat ASC.

Haven’t experienced the rest my dear, but there are lots of Saggies who can tell you about the Pluto conj nat Sun! Plus anyone with Merc or Venus in Saggy! ;-) I hope they come in here!

I really don't even want to talk about tPluto approx 3 minutes from squaring my nMoon (for the 3rd/last pass) and 6 minutes off opposing my nJupiter (for the 3rd and last pass).....

All I can do is put my head down and slog the rest of the way until it's out of orb after Halloween :-/

Almost there.....

Hi Zala hang on there...

The mutable moon club has emotional dexterity, we won't be broken, just rearranged.

My thing has been complete loss of an idea and hope of one on one close personal relationships. I have lost trust in feelings. No love life, no emotional fulfillment from other people. On the positive side I've found real teachers and good tools for personal spiritual growth. That sense of development is (verrrryyy sloowlyyy but still) rebuilding completely different kind of sense of security.

I had Pluto pass over my Mars, Neptune and NN in the 4th house, during his stay in Saggie. That was wildly tranformative and intense.

Now he's going to be visiting my 5th house Sun, Merc, and Venus in Cappie. I expect it to be an interesting time.

I've found that if you resist Pluto transits, he hits you harder in order to teach the lesson. If you go with the flow and let what is outworn in yourself/life pass away, it's easier.

Aqua Inferno,

I love you too!
Karmic stuff alright... a karmic love triangle got unleashed and all hell broke loose. Tell you the truth, I am a bit terrified of what will happen when Pluto goes over my South Node again... *More* karmic punishment?? I know I've been a bad girl in the past, coz I wouldn't have 5 retro planets and the Nodes direct for nothing!
Your NN is in Cancer, right? Well, yeah, I did feel like I need to give up the PIsces/Sagittarius ways and take up more Gemini/Virgo energy. And honestly I do think I have such traits, even though I have no planets in those signs. Luckily, my Sun is in the 3rd (Gem) and in the dwad of Virgo, giving me a helping hand at fulfilling my destiny hehe.
So when will Pluto hit your SN?

*Thanks for the links!

*edit* To answer your question, if it was Node related... I think yes. But I don't think it has to do with the signs the Nodes are in. It was just a karmic wrong-doing from the past brought to light in the present. I don't know if you use the Karma asteroid (3811), but if you do, keep an eye on it this time. In my case, I can link every event that was connected with what happened with a conjunction transiting Karma did with the composite Karmas. And the day Pluto conjuncted my Mean South Node, transiting Karma conjuncted the multicomposite Karma for all 3 of us... [and I am talking about EXACT conjunctions, same degree, same minute... scary stuff!! I honestly doubt this could have been avoided ]

hmm, not so much punch as much a tornado in my head

i had in the past 2 years-----

tr. Pluto conjunct Natal Asteroid spirit conjunct Natal Neptune conjunct Galactic centre at 25 Sag.

result== a hardcore superficial, peachy , athiest existence got blown into smithereens.
since i have a natal YOD involving my Venus conjunct chiron at 25 tau , pluto at 24 lib, and neptune at 25 sag, this " finger of God " that had lain low for so many years got triggered.my mom's nessus conjuncts my natal venus- chiron exactly. she ended up being my chiron wound, hewr nessus lured me into the depths to examine my issues with my childhood, we kinda broke off for a while but r now closer then ever. i cried and cried for days, but at the end of it my ability and perception of love was pure , peachy venus. it lacked the depth of pluto and spirituality of neptune, i did not love myself. at the end of my dark night i found my real SELF.and that makes it worth the pain.i m not the person i was for 23 years of my life. also the textbook part is I was initiated intop healing, i did two levels of reiki healing.that actually helped restore peace to chaos.

currently tr. Pluto at 28 sag sneaking up on my Natal Kaali at 29.5 Gemini ,my sun at 0 cancer and moon at 3 cancer.the transit to natal Kaali unleashed latent tantric potential that as an athiest was dormant for so many years.found a good guru.
try this www.shiva-shakti.com

and my sun n moon are next in line so basically my party's just started

Wow... this is what has been happening to me.

quote:
Pluto transits square Venus

This major transit challenges you to find meaning in your life through romantic connections and partnerships. You now must uncover a new layer or level to your life -- one that goes more deeply than you have heretofore experienced. Sometimes this transit is associated with divorce or separation, and sometimes new relationships begin. Other times, the attitude towards partnership undergoes a major transformation. You may become quite obsessed with your commitments and partner during this time, or you may experience Pluto through your partner. Especially males with this transit may encounter Pluto themes through a female. Manipulative and controlling behaviors may be displayed or experienced through partners. You must be especially wary of resisting change and holding onto negative attachments. This transit may be a signal that it is time to let go of destructive attachments and connections, and resisting this process is likely to do more harm than good. Relationships begun at this time may be very complicated and ultimately challenging, so be careful to think before making drastic changes in your relationships at this time. There may be some problems with money during this transit. Poor spending decisions made to date may come to a head and you may need to face up to their reality. By the end of the transit, you should have a renewed sense of worth, although getting to that point may not be entirely pleasant.

~Your desire for love and its physical expression is strong, but you may not find it easy to express this need. A more compulsive or obsessive quality marks your relationships and, instead of looking for someone whose values are similar to or compatible with your own, you may attract someone whose values clash with yours. There is the possibility of attracting a member of the underworld set, someone who is already attached or someone who is looking only for sex, rather than a person capable of making both the sacrifices and the commitment you deem necessary. Keep your standards high now, so you can come upon a love which fulfills alt your needs. If you aren't already in love, you may be tempted to start a relationship with anyone just so you won't be alone. Avoid this; aim for an attachment based on love, trust, and a genuine relationship which will deepen, not disintegrate, with time.

*Romance and sexuality are the key issues now. Your sexual drive is particularly strong now, and you are driven by a strong need to achieve a deeper level of fulfillment in your love relationships. At times during this time period you are not able to constrain your compulsive feelings, and you are prone to dispense with reason, logic, rational judgment, ethics, and taboos.

+An intense time, during which your need for inner growth and change may not agree with how you feel, your current value system. You may not appreciate all of the intensely personal stuff that is boiling up, coming to your attention.

---------
Pluto transits square Mercury

*During this time period your thinking is intense and penetrating. You tend to become impassioned about your ideas, and you are inclined to feel very strongly about your ideas. You tend to have a one-track mind now, and you talk to others about your interests whether they are interested or not!

+A crazy time when you may feel under a lot of mental pressure. You may be unable to put some of your insecurity and sense of change into words, to communicate them. A tendency to probe and analyze may not fit in with your normal way of thinking.

Guys thanks for doing this, you’re awesome!! I know some people who are about to go through these transits will find it useful! ( me included!! ) so please keep it up!!

Hey Izodes!
Pluto will hit my SN next year, it’s in early Cap in the 10th. I imagine my career landing flat on its face, while I become a barefoot housewife o.O
Ouch @ karmic triangle! When is Pluto hitting it again? Thanks for the karma asteroid tip, which is coincidentally conj my Chiron *ouch*

You’re welcome for the links! Those strings have been very useful to me, so I ended up buying the book, which is great! ( thanks zala )

I’ll give you some parts from the Gemini NN

quote:
Gemini North Node people have had two very different kinds of past life experiences with one common denominator: the pursuit of truth. They have had incarnations where they pursued Truth on their own – as travelling sadhus in India, wandering nomads in the dessert, hermits, or simply people going into the wilderness alone to learn natures secrets. They have also had many incarnations seeking Truth as a collective ideal, becoming absorbed in religious organisations. Either way, seeking after Truth, spirituality, ethics, and enlightenment has motivated their entire lives, and society and human relationships were neglected.

After so many lifetimes of being lonely, these folk feel a need to talk constantly. They are not comfortable with silence because the associate it with isolation. Now they want to relate to other people; so if there’s a silence in the interaction, they feel like there’s a “problem” and will talk about everything to fill the void.

Yours actually sounds better than mine! Apparently I’ve been in convents learning “self control” (Capricorn). I figured with Pluto passing the SN I’ll have to deal with my “control issues”.

I'd love to read about Neptune in the 1. and 3. if you have them, Azalaksh.

Pluto for me has been - an experience. The day it transited my moon exactly conjunt my mother died. In 87..

When Pluto hit my IC in December 2005, my father died. The month before him I lost my grandmother. 3 months previous to her death my cousin died in an accident. In March 2006 another cousin dies in traffic.
In January 07 my longterm boyfriend's brother takes his own life.

In the meantime I've been so caught up in a transformation of my self. I've changed my whole outlook on things, and It's been painful, but also very much rewarding.

Pluto is pain, but it's in a way like cleaning out the infection of a wound - it feels so much better. And it taught me to live now - and not in the future or in the past. It also taught me a whole new set of values, and in the end it made me a better person..

I'm happy that I wasn't prepared for all this - it is much easier to let go, and try to see something positive in the rollercoaster ride.. Pluto can't really be controlled..
