Does anyone have personal experience with this aspect?

It sounds pretty awful!

From an article by Carol Willis:
"Saturn conjunct Sun: may begin as mutual admiration, but works to the detriment of the Sun person as time goes on. Good for intellectual pursuits and admiration among colleagues or peers, and for demonstration of mastery. Both share high standards of excellence and ethics. After a while the Saturn person will resist the Sun person's efforts and presence, and the Sun person will feel he can't do anything right, that even his very best is not good enough. Danger for the Sun person is loss of confidence, loss of vitality, loss of sparkle, golden life turned black, depression, regrets. If criticism, intellectual games and oneupsmanship, or competition come into play, the Sun person can feel quite overwhelmed. Can be a very deeply bonded connection, good for lifetime friendship, professional colleagues if not competing against each other, useful in cooperative ventures involving design and construction. Difficult in romantic or marriage relationships, and likely to put a damper or inhibition on sexual relations early on."

Yes! I had this with a guy I was seeing for a year. I thought I would never break free from it! I wouldnt say it was awful, definately an experience if I had to face again, I would. I learned a lot from it. We had it both ways, his Saturn in Cap on my Sun, my Saturn in Cancer on his Sun. Felt very karmic! We also had pluto/chiron/moon conjunctions, and other south node conjunctions with Venus both ways. I definately knew him well in another life, or felt like I knew him before. It was a very serious relationship from the start, and I felt criticized - his Saturn was closer to my Sun. I learnt alot from him though but in the end it got too much. Maybe that was the chiron/moon/pluto conjunction too.. phew, I know I was changed by the experience, for the better.
