I did a search for "LindaLand astro questions" as my first try locating past threads on how to read progression and transit charts on astro.com and I found this... her post is over a year old but it explains some of the reasons new people come to ask for chart readings. It's because we are friendly.  hehe Boy aren't those who are led here surprised when they catch somebody on a bad day who tears into a newbie for asking for free astro advice...

try to astro-software.com it has a links for today's transit and it shows u how daiy transits affect you.IP: Logged |

Thank you very much, Lola. I want to know how to read the specific charts on astro.com and I haven't had any luck on my search of old threads here at LL. I did find a thread where Zala said she was having trouble understanding the combination charts too, so now I figure all hope is lost...
I appreciate that you shared a valuable link though. I will check it out very soon and see what good stuff I can find on there! Nice to meet you btw.

Zala! Wellllll.... it looks like there is writing on the chart. A line that looks like red pen, starts at a point and then transits for a while, I am assuming? and then ends with the gylph of a planet/asteroid etc. So, that is the movement starting when and continuing until when?
Or is it how the transit effects both the regular chart and the progressed chart?
I just don't even have a clue at where to begin. Looks like Greek to me. Ok, WAIT.
I see now that the transiting planet is at the same place as the end glyph on the red pen mark. So, the pen mark must be where it started effecting something???
Ok, that doesn't make sense either. I have no idea what I am talking about or doing with the Progression and Transit charts. Pretend I am ten and feed me like a baby. "Ok, Melody, you know what a PLANET is... " yes yes yes, go on... IP: Logged |

Uh YEAH, did I ever tell you that random strange men will ask me where I live and I will tell them the town just making conversation, and then the conversation will turn to, "oh, well, are you married?" and I will say no. And then they will say, "do you live with somebody?" and I will say an embarrassed no and try to make a get-a-way saying something like, "no, it is just me and my daughter and that is how I like it... hehehe" trying to let them down easy and then I will walk away toward my car realizing that I just told some random weird dude the small town I live in, he knows exactly what my car looks like and probably knows the plate number by now.. and I basically just told him, "yeah, I live there allllllll alone... come rape and kill me"I tell myself I will stop doing it. I tell myself (well, after my Scorpio moon Aries AC friend yells at me) that I will be a complete witch if need be... then this cable salesman came a few days ago and wanted to know if I would take the deal without the phone price and I told him "no, I need the phone because it's just me and my daughter and I don't have a cell phone."
