Hey T! Even though they're in different signs, they're conjunct by orb (the number of degrees difference in their positions). My understanding is that planets in a NATAL chart will be considered conjunct when they are separated by as much as 10 degrees. I believe the term for this kind of conjunction is an "out-of-quality" conjunction. ------------------ Sun - Capricorn (10th House) Moon - Gemini (2nd House) Mercury - Sagittarius (9th House) Venus - Aquarius (11th House) Mars - Aries (12th House) ASC - Aries IP: Logged |

Ive never heard of that one before...thanks!And that happens in only natals or van it be applied at a sinastry also? Cause Astro shows sth of a sort. My bf´s venus is at 26ºVirgo and my AC is at 0º4´Libra - it says they are conjunct in 3ºorb..but they arent are they? And also says our AC+s are in a sextile but in fact his it at 28º36´CANCER AND my AC at 0ºLibra.. Do i see this as also be correct or is a flaw of AStro? His sun is at 5ºLibra and in declinations between his sun and my AC there´s a paralell in a 2º´02orb- when it says the conj is about 5ºorb..do i see this also as be a conjunction tight? Thañxs! Hi TMiller,That conjunction is awfully wide. It's 7 degrees 11 minutes. As a professional astrologer I wouldn't count unless you and I had a discussion concerning the issues involved with the symbols and the areas of your life they affect. Sometimes the shoe fits, but I would consider that your Sun is shining forward more in the Capricorn directions. If you read descriptions for Sun conjunct Venus and you feel that your life resonates with the many descriptions, then by all means count it. Hey Purple Chick. We are sun and moon twins! You know who else is? Cash Warren who is Jessica Alba's boyfriend. That must explain why I think she is a beautiful goddess! Thanks!T IP: Logged |

Hey Diandra! How are you? Best of luck with the new business!Yes, it works in synastry, too, but the orbs should be tighter than in a natal chart. This is something I've looked at alot and there is a wide range of "acceptible" orbs in synastry. I'm hesistant to give out numbers here because there is so many different takes on it. But, I do seem to see a general consensus that you can use a wider orb for conjunctions, oppositions, and squares (maybe around 5-6 degrees) and smaller orbs for trines and sextiles. Also, some astrologers feel that if the aspect involves the sun and moon, you can be a little more generous. For the declinations, I think the orb has to be REALLY tight...maybe 1.5 degrees in either direction. Hey Valentine! I agree that in synastry, the orbs need to be tighter, but it's hard to nail down the numbers!!! lol But, when I said 10 degrees for the conjunction, I was talking about her natal chart. I thought that was a pretty accepted orb...but maybe not? IP: Logged |
