I know that's a generalization there, but ever since I read Jan Spiller's book about North Nodes I'm convinced that that's what I have to expect out of my life. And well...I hate it.

First of this is my chart. http://aycu02.webshots.com/image/33241/2001937557585861742_rs.jpg

I've got Virgo N.N. in the 2nd house, conjuncting my Jupiter and making a sextile with my Scorpio Sun. With these aspects you'd think that I'd have it easy.

According to Spiller's book, "Astrology for the Soul" - which I love nonetheless- I need to pay attention to detail, keep a daily routine and stop trying to escape reality by any means.

I've got a Pisces moon (not conjuncting my S. Node though) squaring my natal Neptune. Having my feet down on the ground not that easy. And how about being practical being a talent of Virgo N.Noders? Try telling that to the people who know me. They'd roll on the floor laughing. My brain just does not function like that.

Still I'm trying, following that advice. I get a very "virgoan job". I become a secretary, do my best, only to get fired a few months later. I was not good at that job. I was completely lost. Also very unhappy. So..this dull life I'm suppose to live that's suppose to make me fullfiled? Not working.

The thing is, the universe keeps bringing these Virgoan themes in my life I can't seem to be able to escape! Work opportunities, my love life, my friends - not complaining there, Virgo friends are the best. But I wanna have fun...I want an adventurous life, a passionate one. Why do I have to be the one who get's stuck with the bills?

Hey Urania,

Forget what that guy says entirely. First of all, your node is not just north and south, it is a circle, an axis bringing in themes of Virgo and Pisces.

You have Jupiter conjunct Nodal Axis, this screaming out something about your mother and her above average tremendous influence on you in terms of Jupiterian themes. I'm thinking adventure, enthusiasm, creativity, perhaps religion, teaching, even finances possibly, only you can answer how she was overly influential to you. Also, your Mercury squares your Jupiter-Nodal Axis conjunction, so yes there is correspondence or communication somehow involved with her influencing you. I can't tell if it is positive or negative influence, only you can answer that question.

And you becomming some kind of administrative assistant would be a huge mistake in my opinion. With your Moon in Pisces being squared by Neptune, this is screaming out arts, aesthetics, counseling or medicine, even holistic healing of some sort.

Your MC(midheaven) is Aries, it is ruled by your Mars in the 1st house in Leo. This is highly dramatic management energies and you need to show it off, you will show it off. And this management energy is quite aggressive with Mars being squared by Uranus, it's intense and possibly angry, so go easy on your minions young lady! Are you athletic as well? Maybe you're a coach of some sort or want to be???

Although you have Moon in Pisces squaring Neptune, what you really have is a T-Square of Saturn opposite Moon and that axis is squared by Neptune. Sometimes Neptune can wipe-out your ambition which is represented by Saturn, but not always. Saturn can help to ground you within all that water, you should be greatful that Saturn helps you form some cold mud out of that Virgo earth energy. It may be difficult from time to time, but it's all developmental tension, rocks in the soil for the lovely flowers of your life to push off from. But I'm betting you're an artist or a healer or both and as soon as you realize that, you won't be depressed by the Saturn-Moon opposition, you'll realize that Saturn-Moon aspects are AMBITION!!! I know, I have the square and yes, it has depressed me in the past, but I'm learning fast that the opposite of that depression is pure kerosene fueled ambition.

A daily dose of Saturn will help you to get anything you want out of your life. Make friends with him. He likes to scowl, but pay no mind to that, he loves it when you listen to him and you'll be solidly rewarded. Take that to the bank.

Virgo N.Node gets attention at work, or from your work--You should "pay attention" to the Pisces S. Node--and likely the Pisces Moon as well.

Second house makes that a personal asset--probably a financial asset as well. Pisces, when placed in the 8th is intended to become equally valuable when you reach and claim your adulthood.

While Virgo is about service, it is not about being a servant to anyone. Some people serve as leaders, healers, managers, etc, as well as jobs more often thought of as service professions. See?

Virgo--esp. Sun, Moon, Ascendant is perfect from birth--meaning the perfect you, not damaged or poorly designed. However, in the spiritual sense, the perfection is "new". Virgo compares to that point in life when we have reached our full growth and have a basic education. The next step is then to "practice"--and although mistakes are always made, they are part of the process. In the end, Practice/Virgo always leads to Mastery/Pisces.

Brava, Rev. Alice! (Do you happen to participate in any of the Colorado Psychic Fairs?)

Not-too-boring folks with a Virgo North Node:

  • Marie Antoinette
  • Mohammed Ali
  • Marie Curie
  • Wassily Kandinsky
  • Christian Dior
  • Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
  • Bono
  • Harrison Ford
  • Marlon Brando
  • Salvador Dalí
  • Paul McCartney
  • Bob Dylan
  • Maria Callas

And if you watch a lot of MTV, Nelly Furtado, P!nk, and Bam Margera as well... And I don't think Bam Margera has many boring days. Of course, he doesn't have many sober days so perhaps he isn't a swell example. Anyhoo, you are not doomed to secretarydom if you don't like it!

oooh, i LOVE my virgo NN. plus it is conjunct my saturn. yes, i realize this makes me a freak! but.. i do understand where you're coming from. the thing is, once i've done my housework, and even while i'm doing it, i feel soooo inspired and it's like it puts my whole life into perspective and my pisces sn can relax comfortably into the organization of my thoughts (derived from doing the mundane stuff). i love jan spiller's book, though i feel it is a bit lacking in some ways. but i really do think embracing your virgo NN could be worth it if you take the right attitude! have fun with it!

Good God..finally, someone that says I don't have to be an assistant! Yeyy..lol

I'm sick of reading books that say that with my placements I should excel in office work. Why would the universe hate me so? Maybe it's this full moon in Taurus in my 10th house that makes me feel so fed up with my career - or rather the lack of it. Truth is I do not feel that this is my path at all.

I identify with my mother's frustrated and unfulfilled ambition. I don't know if that counts. My mom does not have many "Jupiterian" qualities. She's very pessimistic by nature. I can be too at times, but not that often. It's very rare for my mother to feel positive about things. Perhaps that's my Mercury in Sag then. Ah! Also we both have self-worth issues. We're very similar in that. Neither of us believes in herself.

As far my artistic skills. I've got an eye for things. People say I've got great taste in many different things. My opinion is valued by people when it comes to music, literature, films etc. When it comes to my own talents things are a bit complicated. I've got more imagination than most people, but I don't have the discipline to express it in some form. Maybe that's what this N. Node is trying to teach me.

No..not into sports, but I do have a temper lol. But that's not something most people know about me. Only those that are close to me say that I boss them around a lot. Unfortunately I don't have a strong will in the work field. Quite the opposite.

What you said about the Moon Saturn aspects, I heard once before by another astrologer. She told me that I shouldn't complain about my opposition Saturn - Moon opposition because it will give me recognition later in my life. I guess better late than never.

Rev.Alice & Astralmuse thank you. What you say makes perfect sense. I guess Virgo N.N. only shows me that in order to get where I want in my life I need to work really hard and no expect things to magically happen by themselves. Which is what I usually do.

heart cakes lol! I've got Virgo friends that tell me the exact same thing. Whenever they feel depressed or anxious they start cleaning their houses and rearranging the furniture. They say it keeps them sane. I just don't get that. When I feel terrible the last thing I need is sanity. Gimme alcohol damnit! :P

Hi Urania,

You describe your mother as pessimistic and that you identify mostly with her sense of unfulfilled ambition, and that she rarely feels positive about things. That is your Saturn-Moon opposition talking. The Moon is your mother and Saturn is that scowling fellow I was telling you about. Your mother can be seen in many ways in your chart.

You mention that neither one of you believes in yourselves, that is a matter of self worth. Well, let me introduce you to the Self-Worth 2nd House. There’s a thread currently on the board where people are talking about being angry that the 2nd house is about money, but here’s a classic example of how it means self-worth. Your Saturn is in a stressful relationship with your Moon in the 2nd house/8th house axis, it’s a clamping down of your feelings of self-worth, your mother is represented by the Moon and with Saturn opposing it from detailed and communicative Virgo, you get pessimistic communications along with the drying up of self-worth. (I also wonder about female health issues with you and your Mom since the Moon rules your health-center 12th house)

The large ray of hope for both of you is that Jupiter sextile the Sun. Jupiter-Sun aspects are reward aspects and it’s built in to your chart. My theory is that when God gives you lemons in your chart, he also provides the sugar somewhere else in the chart. The Moon-Saturn opposition is the lemon, the Sun-Jupiter sextile is the sugar. Use that sugar liberally. And your Jupiter rules your 5th house of creativity. I could be wrong, but I’d like to think that you could make money (Jupiter in the 2nd can usually does suggest wealth or ease with money) with your creativity (Jupiter rules your 5th of creativity).

Does your Mom speak a lot, or do some kind of very detailed work for money? Does she teach?

It’s funny, I have a similar arrangement in my chart. I have Sun-Jupiter square and Moon-Saturn square. It can be the heights of good luck or the heights of depression. When I feel down, I tell myself to live in my Sun-Jupiter square, to feel the very real good luck it brings me; and to turn that Saturn-Moon square into pure ambition.

Mercury has nothing to do with your pessimism, it has to do with your voicing your opinions. Because your Mercury is square Jupiter, I think it suggests you have very detailed wordy opinions, maybe that’s where your future lies, you could be an art critic, you already said that people value your opinions. Value – Jupiter in 2nd, Opinions – Mercury in Sagittarius. They're are pipeline connected by the square.

Aaargghh. I have to get back to work, sorry.
