I'm new here and am really excited to learn about astrology.

I guess I'm an intermediate learner of astrology. I'm sort of at the stage where I'm learning about chart patterns and the advanced aspects (where the outer planets and a few asteroids come into the picture). Also, I love learning about ascendants and how they affect appearance.

Anyway, there's so much I find interesting and I can't wait to dive into it. This is my friend's chart and I decided to use her because she's definitely really interesting and I wanted to use a fresh chart I'm not very familiar with.

Questions:

What is her overall chart tone? (ex. is she a 11th house person? A 9th house person?, stuff like that).

What is her chart ruler?

I've been reading that Libra risings have dimples. My friend has a dimple on her cheek and so would that mean her rising is incorrect?

What is her chart pattern? I can't decide between locomotive and splay.... very frustrating.

I think I see a yod but I'm not sure. What aspect configurations are there?

Judging from her chart, what would you guess or assume about her appearance or personality?

What stands out to YOU?

Thanks everyone. It would be a huge help if you could be as descriptive as possible so that I can learn. I understand most astrology jargon but not the really complicated explanations.

You're right about a lot of it... although she isn't really religious. She has strong beliefs but isn't into organized religion at all.

You are so right. Where are you seeing these things? From her Cancer planets or from something else?

Venus in Leo conjunct Leo ASC: to me, this says a very warm, affectionate and outgoing person. Leo is demonstrative and outgoing and the ASC there would make this very apparent to others. And venus there would emphasize this, I think.

Moon in Taurus near the MC: Moon is exalted in Taurus, bringing out the best moon qualities of feeling, but stability and reliability, and with it near the MC, I think this is something very apparent to the "public" so to speak

Sun, merc, mars stellium in cancer in the 11th house: a tendancy to "mother" her friends. This seemed like a no-brainer...a stellium in Cancer (motherly) in the house of friends

Pluto conjunct saturn in Libra in the 3rd house: very diplomatic. She probably plays the role of peacemaker quite often. If this was right, I'm kinda proud of this one! lol pluto (intensity, focus) + saturn (discipline, teacher) in libra (sign of balance, harmony, diplomacy) in the 3rd house (house of communication).

Like I said, just some initial impressions and feelings.

You're spot on about Pluto-Saturn conjunct, too! She's very peace-loving and diplomatic. She can be forthright, but yeah, she does prefer the softer approach.
