Venus square Pluto CAN BE unrequited love, but it is not always, it depends on individual situations and couples, and that is when you are talking about Synastry which is comparing 2 charts together.

In an individuals chart, Venus square Pluto can suggest so many things depending on what houses are ruled by Pluto and Venus.

Unfortunately I'm typing in my sleep and as soon as I tried to explain it, my mind went blank. I'm sure others can chime in at this point or you can google:

"Pluto square Venus in the natal chart" and read what some of the sites have for suggestions. Whatever you relate to and feel familiar with, go with that. But remember, sometimes learning about astrology on the internet can be like learning about sex on the street (appropriate response considering Venus square Pluto), or getting the wrong information about sex from your friends without confirming with a parent or adult. Check in some books or with a reputable astrologer.

I may chime in tomorrow when I'm more awake. Good luck for tonight.

I have Venus square Pluto and i am not a providing sex on the street type for sure.
I am not saying i am not an extremely passionate woman...it`s something i can control though.
Venus rules my IC and it`s in 12th house, Pluto corules my 4th house and also sits there.

I would kind of surmise that maybe you wanted someone unavailable or who didn't return your affections perhaps ? Obsessed about someone ? Or maybe perhaps had a secret love affair with a married person for instance who wouldnt leave their family behind for example ? Or maybe some other unsatisfactory sexual arrangement ?

Maybe a "femme fatale" character ?

Thats my reading of it. Sorry if I have caused offence to you.

Peace

Venus square Pluto is an aspect that may feel fatalistic. Like, a stupid cliche scene for example. You meet this girl you love at first sight, she goes into the elevator, and you want to catch up and ask for her number, but before you can reach her, the elevator closes the door right in front on you. It was almost painfully never meant to be.

But I don't take it that way, I think this aspect calls us NOT to desire who we want so much, or obsess over, but get to love someone who we probably never thought twice loving or liking. Someone who tames your passions as well, the more you learn about the person, the less you become attached and virtually having none of the negative traits this aspect is known for, such as jealousy, possessiveness, and drama. It calls for us not to be prone to jealousy and exert faith and trust instead, the scarier things we never thought of doing! Taking the "chains" off so that the other may not feel so stifled.

In the 12th house, I think you are capable of doing almost anything for someone to a point where you may lose your self-love and let the person walk all over you. The major native pitfalls I feel is that you should not conduct clandestine affairs or underhanded behaviour in love, no matter how attractive or desirable the chance might get. Nor should you sell yourself out short if the relationship gets bad, or if you are offered one night stances by someone who was not fully committed in the first place. Also because Venus is in 12th here, be careful of how you spend your money. You may be too generous giving allowances or valuable things to impress someone, which can ring up your credit card to the thousands and you will be stuck with the debt. These natives never check or strictly monitor their bank statements and as you know, money is number one cause of spousal disagreements.

It may seem like this aspect is a "I'll take anyone who is free and single!" but it's not. This is an aspect that concerns love as labor, often exercising more work to get what you want, but journeying the troublesome road Venus sq. Pluto natives have, you'll learn to desire less of what you want, but get what you essentially need in a partner as you grow.
