Hello, maybe someone can help shed some light on my 5th and 7th house matters. The rulers of my 5th and 7th are conjunct, Venus at 12 degrees and Neptune at 14 degrees of Scorpio. They are conjunct the Scorpio Asc. at 16 degrees. They are sextile Pluto in Virgo in the 10th, and square Saturn, Aquarius, in the 3rd. This represents a sense of duty and coolness in love or overly serious. Late marriage maybe. The sextile, represents being stronger then I appear. Along with being innately intense and deep. Jupiter/Chiron at 5 and 6 degrees Pisces forms wide trine to Venus from 4th. I have Eros and Psyche in Scorpio too at 3 and 4 degrees. Whatever, I am not a sexual animal. I am abstinant. Single. One long-term live in relationship which ended years ago. This was not a pleasant experience, but a learning experience. I learned about my boundaries and would leave much earlier now. Mind you, I waited 4 years before I moved in with him. Regarding children, my son was traumatized at a young age. Have patiently been nurturing him for years. Healing him and providing him with the environment to do so has been a real priority. He was sexually molested at 10 by a platonic male acquaintance. Please do not make this into a rant on child molesters in this country or how could I not know. I have dealt with the sorrow, anger, and frustration mixed with guilt for years. Why has my child suffered? Will things eventually get better for myself and my son? At this time in my life, I realise that I was not meant to remain an idealistic Pollyanna, but...through it all, I still am idealistic. Lots of loss of innocence...Where is that in my configuration? Actually, been paying the piper a looonnnnnng time. Not pleasant. Is it over?Hopefully this is not a too intense post. Feels raw to me. My dob is December 7, 1962 in Tampa, FL @ 5AM. My son's is April 18, 1983 @ 6:40 AM in Tampa, FL. If this seems like too much negativity...It is not. There are many positives in my life and there have been many blessings. IP: Logged |

I'm sorry to hear of you and your son's troubles.  I've posted both of your charts to make it a little easier for people to assess. Hopefully one of Lindaland's fabulous astrologers will be able to look over your charts for you as I'm not really any good at it but in any case, I'll be back to have a little go later when I have some more time! Hi Laurie Ann,Neptune and Venus, rulers of the 5th and 7th houses, are in conjunction in the 12th house also conjunct the Ascendant. The conjunction suggests a high level of idealism around children, romance, sexuality, relationships and how you present yourself publicly. Idealism can also be used as a powerful defense mechanism. We sometimes refuse to see the reality of a situation, insisting on keeping our rose colored glasses on. The conjunction also brings into play a great confusion about relationships, romance and sexuality. With Venus in the 12th house, there is a private sense of beauty, possibly a sense of shame around relationships and sexual desires. With Neptune at the ASC, I think of substance abuse, co-dependence, and huge focus on needing help, needing assistance. It is either assistance for you or assistance for your child, which you’ve already mentioned. With your son still needing your assistance 14 years after the abuse that suggests a strong focus on helping someone compassionately, possibly over doing it. I don’t know without feedback from you. Saturn squares Venus suggests tremendous self criticism in terms of relationships. When I see this measurement, I ask if the person is a highly skilled artist who tends to really put themselves down. Saturn represents a control factor placed on the Venusian energies. Your not being in relationship with someone has much to do with father issues. There are huge trust issues in terms of relationships and a suppression of the desires with Neptune so close by. I also want to mention some issues of brutality with your Dad and it strongly affecting your mindset and opinions about life interspersed with a depressed mindset as well. There may have been some type of weakness with your father. This also leads me to ask you about your own health issues with either teeth, skin or bones. It can be as minor as acne or as severe as debilitating arthritis, constant dental issues, etc. I won't continue from here unless I get some feedback from you either here or by email, but there's a huge amount of things going on for you and because you are experiencing your mid-life Solar Arc Semi-Square, which happens to everyone at 45, you've got a heap of issues staring you in the face right now.
