Quite a bit of Karma floating around these days. The slow moving outer planets have [and are] rattling cage doors. While everyone is discussing Mars retro in Cancer. Uranus direct in Pisces. The Jupiter-Pluto conj.in relation to the GC, Saturn ready to do his "thing" i.e. go retro. I haven't heard too much talk about another occurrence. The Nodes Changing signs. Here are 2 charts. I fiddled around and got the 29.59. Both charts are for an east coast scenario, Placidus [not my favorite, but everybody else uses it] and an orb fact of 60%. Plain-

With Inclusions -  To understand how this reflects on others I have been refreshing my memory about the Aqu/Leo Nodal axis via Jan Spiller and others. Here is an ezine article.
The nodes (south and north node) are two points in an astrological chart that possess priceless information about one's karmic past and soul-destined future. Calculated by using the birth data of the individual, the nodes symbolize the unique life path that one is on and can answer many questions about his own, as well as his partner's, inner struggles and desires -- answers that can transform not only his relationship but his life.
Since there are twelve signs of the zodiac, there are also twelve unique nodal positions -- each pair of nodes (north and south) representing two opposite signs of the zodiac. For instance, a
Aquarius sign north node is paired with an Leo sign south node because they are opposites. And because they are opposites, they create a clear picture of the dualistic struggle that resides within the Aquarius north node/Leo south node individual.
Often, the individual is unaware of the war taking place inside, a situation that could go on for years. As time passes he is dumfounded by his inability to progress in life - professionally, emotionally, and spiritually. He doesn't understand why he keeps repeating the same mistakes over and over again and continues to dwell on the past as he desperately dreams of the future.
All of us have our own set of visible (and invisible) struggles to work through -- obstacles that the nodes of the noon can help us isolate and resolve while simultaneously freeing us to move forward on our destined path.
We all know that knowledge is power...and that's why I offer a bit of it to you...to give you the strength and courage you need to not only live, but thrive.
This week I'd like to begin with a brief overview of the Aquarius sign north node/Leo sign south node position.
To start, let's take a look at some keywords. These words describe the polarity between these two opposing signs and can offer you a glimpse of the soul journey that the individual with this nodal position is on.
Just remember that the south node represents the comfortable but not necessarily healthy habits within your personality - patterns that have accumulated over lifetimes that now need to be acknowledged and released.
The north node, on the other hand, represents your soul's potential - the direction of the future...the behavioral habits that will lead you to greater happiness and the kind of life that you will find fulfilling.
Here are a few Leo sign south node traits that should be put to rest, sort of speak, if the individual with this nodal position is to live an emotionally rich life:
The need for attention and applause, demanding respect, melodramatic, dictating, pretentious, conceited, patronizing, fearful of aging, self-centered, vain.
Here are a few Aquarius sign north node characteristics that this individual might at first find foreign but eventually will need to embrace if he is to connect to his true soul potential and live the life he was meant to live:
Open-minded, friendly, altruistic, idealistic, tolerant, objective, intellectual, values equality, humanistic, social activist, progressive.
The journey from Leo sign south node to an Aquarius sign north node will not be easy. But then again, neither is anything else in life that’s worth doing.
Obstacles are simply strategically placed hurdles meant to remind us of our inner strength and hidden needs. Therefore, as long as the Aquarius sign north node individual remembers that his soul is creating the kind of life he needs in order to evolve as a spiritual individual, he will make it through the transformation just fine.
The following are some of the hurdles that the Aquarius north node individual must overcome in order to live up to his potential;
• He must learn to live without constant approval
• He must realize that the world does not revolve around him
• He must resist looking down on other people and accept them for the equals that they are
• He must calm his ego and prepare to willingly step down from “his thrown”
• He must carefully choose the causes he plans to support; discerning between true need of the cause and his own need for applause
• He must learn to view himself as part of the masses; a comrade to all his fellowman
• He must be brave and remain true to his off-the-beaten-path journey
• He must learn to blend individuality with group-consciousness

And I mis-typed the date in the header. LaLa if you read this -- would be nice to change it. For those of you with Moon in Pisces I would also say that your Lunar return happens right before this nodal change. Your LR should have NN at 0 degrees Pisces. This is the endgame to the Eclipse Axis for the year [Virgo/Pisces] reflecting directly to the end of NN/SN in your lunar returns and lunar oppositions for the year. What would this mean to me, my NN is on Aquarius;and as far as I know but wouldn't this apply for my whole life, correct?

Kindjali,I noticed something concerning the TRansitin Nodes. They seem to trigger some interesting points in the relation to someone. Tr-NN will be
conjunct his Sun-Moon-mp
conjunct my Lilith (true) conjunct the composite NN
and conjunct the exact Venus-NN-conjunction in the progressed composite. What do you think could that mean? Thanks. DD IP: Logged |

Hi Darkdreamer,It has some significance in your relationship. It is good it is North Node in question, not South Node.
If you are not involved it could be something, or If you are, then only sky is a limit  Regarding more explanation on North Node-Lilith conjuction it is still mystery to me, what can that be...searching same answer for synastry. Midpoints...if activated alone, there are of no significance, but if there are other transits, they can be "trigger". It is all I can say from my amateur point of view. K. IP: Logged |

Re: Significance of a Nodal Return This is an important event. And extremely Karmic. If I were to have NN Aquarius in the Natal, I would first ask myself this question: How much do I really understand about what a Lunar Node is? I am a data geek, some people are not. I would research the hell out of it and here is a partial list. Many have written about this. Much is out there both on the web, and in print. Use the local library web cart. If your library does not have a book, another might and they will send over to yours. Start with dry definitions Wiki, Answers.com, Astro encyclopedias, etc Educate yourself as to the names of the writers who are regarded as authorities on your subject. Thru Ephemeris research discover the exactitude of your return to the degree. Create a chart for it After study of that chart, and particularly the houses effected- erect a syn to the Natal I would also make syn charts for all of the important day’s of that year…I.e. Solar return, important planetary stations, retrogrades, and ingresses. Then I would move on to Mid-Point work- what is triggered in the return through Mid- Points to the Natal and the return chart. The transiting Nodes are like the cosmic clock. North Node moving into Aquarius points to the issue of Aquarius moving into the receiving end of many of the important situations, such as those who have valued people, humanity will begin to have the tap turned on and they will receive more of what was put into the Leo tank. Using the Leo to become a spark to "warm and grow" vs "scorch and burn" will now come out through the tap of the Aquarius. We'll all begin to have new connections and interactions as we move into 2008. The fact that the next mercury retrograde is in Aquarius and the Solar Eclipse is in the middle of it on Feburary 6th, comes into to provide the celebration of the Chinese New Year, will hereld in our new direction. The cosmic clock now begins to show our true ethics and beliefs of how we see and value humanity. Check out the placement of 18 Aquarius, which is the Solar Eclipse (and Sun conjunct Mercury) same day on Feb 6th....that will show the significance of the tap that is now being turned on in aquarius during the important and powerful days of December 17th through December 26th. Hi Karyl. My Nodal Return was indeed a ticking cosmic clock. Without going into a long and boring list of indicators I will say just 3 of the highlights. Virgo/Pisces intercepted 9/3 H [Virgo ASC & Pisces Moon in the Natal] Saturn 10 Pisces-Chiron 10 Virgo Mars Return @ 24 Gemini; 10H Natal- 7H Node Return Chart. The Nodal Return for myself, and others I have researched are some of the most interesting charts I have looked at. They are amazingly accurate as to up and coming sign posts on the cosmic journey. Thank you for the 18* Aquarius reminder. 2008 has the look of a continuance of the global humanitarian trend. Western culture's copious consumption of the Earth's resources is [and should] be in the spotlight. The Aquarian viewpoint of what is good for all, as opposed to isolationistic "what is good for me". This is a great opportunity for mankind to do so.

I have my NN at 20 degrees Leo in the 1st house and now transiting Node moves into my 7th house and will conjunct my South Node there too
I am not sure what to expect about this nodal opposition, i haven`t found much information about it.------------------

Thanks, Zala I was wondering two things. One, the nodes move backwards (are almost always rx) is this right? I ask, because I notice it is at 29 degrees. Second, if NN is in aqua, then isn't SN in leo? Meaning, anyone who has NN in aqua (me) will not only have a NN return, but a SN return as well? ------------------

wow... this is too true for me! Especially since I have aqua sun/ leo asc too though I guess. I have so many contradicting sides to my personality it often seems to confuse people =/ I think it's mostly the lionish-ness in me I need to work on though, since it seems that mostly all my bad traits are what you'd call typical leo-trades, and all the good sides to me comes from aqua-traits. But getting rid of your faults is hard =/ Well it's good I'm well aware of them, because I suppose that's at least one step on the way!=) edit: I, of course have aqua/ leo north and south node. One thing I was hoping someone would comment on in the EVENT CHART. The time is 1:11; often when I do charts like this power numbers come up in the time. Notably 11. Also; North Node is in 5H. The Leo House. Tight Sextile to Pluto & Jupiter in Sadge. Metaphorically and physically a directional device such as this.. Makes me want to investigate the Time/House for hot spots around the globe.

Karyl Jacksoni went to see how on 6th February will play out on the charts of me and my bf. On that day his Moon will be conjunct the Mercury/Sun conjunction at 18 Aqua ( in his 7th house) - What could you say about this placement?
