I'm looking for input on this aspect, natally. It seems like it could be of a lot of use but it also has a negative connotation.

I do have Sun in Cancer as well as ascendant in Cancer, so the descriptions I've read don't really fit my personality, but the whole bit about inexhaustible energy has me intrigued, as I could use a boost like that.

If anyone has any insight, that would be amazing.
Thank you!

Here's my birth info if needed:
Female. June 24, 1987 Fayetteville, NC 8:07am.

My SO's 12 year old sister has this one (Scorpio Ascendant with Mars in Scorpio conjunct) ... let's put it this way ... she knows what she wants. When she sets out to get something she wants she gets it ... there's just no way of stopping her. She is so full of energy and cheerful and can't sit still for more than two seconds. She is always on the move.

Haha. See, that sounds like the opposite of me for some reason. Although, through talking with a friend I did realize that I can be quite blunt, my ego is pretty high, and I do encounter many strange sexual escapades...

I just wish I could find out how to tap into this energy! I feel so drained all the time =/

I don't know.. This aspect works very well if Mars conjuncts Asc from the 1st house, but it's different from 12th house. It is not as strong. Especially with your Cancer planets, Sun and Mars/Mercury conjunction in 12th house. So, you might not be that energetic but hey, have you noticed that a good half of your planets are in cardinal signs?! That means that you are an initiator so all you need is to be focused in life, to know what you want. Once you do, it will be easy for you to make a move, start something. Make a full use of your cardinality, your Mars/Asc conjunction and your Gemini energy too. As for Cancer planets, it's fair to say that they sometimes should get out of home, it's not good to stay there for too long. Maybe it's them killing your energy.

very true! i do love staying home and just sitting around reading or wasting time online. but on the other hand, that's not what i want to do with my life. i feel like there are a lot of oppositions in my feelings on this issue, and many issues in my life. i am a very creative person and have so many ideas, but never act on them. sometimes i feel i am too content with too little, if that makes sense. i am generally a very relaxed person, but the mars conjunct asc energy i think springs up every now and then when my ego is hurt.
i am an initiator, but not so much a follow-througher ha. that's where the main problem is i think. i find myself content with coming up with ideas of things to do rather than seeing them through.
i'm still a bit new to astrology so can you explain what you mean by using my Gemini energy fully? the only thing i've noticed with that is my indecisiveness! and of course being a chatterbox.
i've never really thought about it that way but i guess heavy Cancer placements could make someone a bit lazy as the home is well....home.
thank you for your input though! i'll be thinking about all of this...

Ms. Tidalwave - you know I have a tendency to think that it has to do with your South node in Libra, which is less action oriented. You have North Node in Aries and the older you get the more it will become activated. I think that your South node in Libra has you look at yourself through other people's perspective and not connecting with your own energy. Also you have your Mercury RETROGRADE in your chart, so close to your Mars that it is overcoming inertia that will be an important transition for you to make. I would wager a guess that when jupiter moves into Capricorn (opposite of Cancer) that you will be catapulted off the bench and get into the game of Life with your emotions a lot more employed. Also as Pluto moves into Capricorn you will also get involved in projects/tasks that will continue to pull your Mercury and Mars into harmony. Mercury retrograde in your chart means you have done one part of the Mercury process, inhaling information and now you have to "exhale" use your information. Exhaling information braided with Mars becomes very powerful once you are connected to your purpose.

Thank you KJ!
That is very inspiring and I certainly can't wait for these things to happen. Good insight! I do look at myself from other people's perspectives a lot, which makes me feel even worse about my laziness, though it does boost my confidence because I think people see me as kind and helpful. Is Jupiter moving into Capricorn soon? I hope so!
I am starting cosmetology school in January, after almost 3 years of basically fruitless university education. I just wasn't motivated enough and didn't have my priorities straight. I think this is a good idea for me because I will have to be more involved with class and learning, waking up earlier, and becoming generally more disciplined! Cosmetology is something I have a passion for, although my main passion is creative writing and art which I will pursue a degree in after cosmo school. I'm hoping this is a good course of action as I feel like I'm not motivated enough to finish regular college right now and being practical I will need a day job for my career to be writing/art.
I have been absorbing a lot of information, so hopefully soon I can put it to good use. I hope I find my exact purpose because I feel that I do have a lot of potential and can definitely do big things!
Thank you!

Well, I noticed that you have you Moon and Venus in Gemini, so that's why I said that you ought to use that energy. Gemini is a very lively sign. They like to be active and usually walk a lot. They just want to go, who knows where... sometimes even they don't know :) With you, however, it could be more of a mental energy. You like to chat? I'm not surprised, especially when that conjunction falls into your 11th house. Friends and groups. You're active in that area. And let me try this.. do you crave acceptance? be careful, don't try to please other people too much, you will spend all your energy on that. Think first about yourself, not others. It's better to use that energy for other things in life. Make plans! (Capricorn girl speaking here :) I know it's not easy for you because of your packed 5th and 11th houses (you like socialising, parties, relaxing, nothing serious) but try.

Vintry:
I am VERY active socially. If I go a day without seeing people or socializing I feel very strange and pent up. I think it is a mental energy. I have a great deal of mental stamina. I think sometimes I can crave acceptance, but generally I have a pretty high ego and have a keen sense of I-can-rule-the-world, though not as dramatic as that, I just feel like I can do anything I put my mind to. I do try to please people a lot, but I don't think it's for acceptance, I think it's because I like to share my views which are normally very positive and optimistic!
Haha, I need some Capricornian energy. I try to make plans and set goals, but I'm never too worried on if I follow through or not because I tend to judge whether the day will br fruitful or not based on how I "feel". That can be a bit bothersome because as you said, my 5th and 11th houses ARE packed and so is my busy bee social life! I tend to mix up priorities and put friends before things like school and even sometimes family.
Thanks for the advice, maybe now that I know what's causing this block I can get past it.

I have Mars in Taurus conjunct my Taurus Ascendant from the 12th house.

In my experience, it's given me a controlled temper. I keep a lot of my feelings on the inside--though that's the 12th house and Taurus together, I'm sure, and not a good mix with Mars.

According to different websites, this position of Mars gives lots of physical energy and assertiveness. I'm seeing a lot of sites that mention sporty people and military people have this aspect as well.

So like the others said, it depends on what sign and from what house the conjunction comes. For me, I'm not quite as assertive as Mars usually is and I keep my anger controlled, but I bet the aspect would be different coming from the 1st house.

A childhood friend of mine had this aspect - as I recollect. This is based on a time of birth off his mother, and one of the first charts I ever drew (in the days before computers were around to do the job) so bear with me! Anyway, on this basis I remember this man had Libra Ascendant, Mars in the 12th.

Easy-going, affable, only lost his temper twice in his life. But when pushed too far - don't expect any quarter. Someone seriously did him wrong and they have been jettisoned from his life, no comeback expected. Also, he is now very rich. He worked very hard and became very successful, but is still a nice guy.

Thanks for the input blue moon and SS:

I can definitely cut people off in a heartbeat once I've been pushed too far...so that sounds about right. I did read a lot of stuff on this aspect leading people to be in the military or that it was common. I, myself, would never be in the military, but I think other things factor that.

Mine is Mars conjunct the Ascendant in Cancer too. Good to know he's a great guy hah, some of the descriptions of this aspect sounded kinda scary! Thanks again.

I have a tight (less than 1 degree) square from my Mars in Leo to my Scorpio ascendant...

I was in the Navy for a couple of years, but, honestly, I could never pass the PT test ( i cheated ) so , technically, I shouldn't have been there ( i've always been a big p@$$y LOL)

I get the feeling from a lot of people that I appear somewhat confrontational. I sometimes get a "What the hell are you looking at!!!" vibe, or, a lot of people tend to ask me "what's wrong?" ( cause apparently, I look angry a lot! LOL)

Perhaps the square somewhat "offsets" the positive influence that a conjuction would bring, But, I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents anyway
