Sarai unregistered	posted January 03, 2008 01:57 PM I need your help, Knowflakes!!! What are the most telling similarities and differences between a Sag rising and an Aqua rising? You can touch upon personality traits as well as physical characteristics. Anything and everything will help!! The two signs are so similar to me that I'm having the most difficult time separating which traits belong to which rising sign. Your opinions are SO appreciated. *********** EDIT: My boyfriend's brother is the person in question. His birthtime is unknown but we do know it was in the morning. By simple deduction, it should either be Sag or Aquarius. Sag if he was born early morning and Aqua if he was born mid-morning. Reading different interpretations has made me even more confused about his rising sign. My first impression was Sag rising but that's only because he already has Sag in his chart (Sun and another personal planet... I think it was Merc). So that's why I need your fresh perspectives! I have a great book by Teri King that does 'horroscopes' of the ascendant and sun sign combined. It is a great book, very funny. I read out the two possibles for my mother and she picked out the one she said sounded like her ~ it wasn't the most flattering but she said you had to face facts! But, I think the worst part about having Sag rising is that I don't know when to keep my mouth shut. I often say the wrong thing at the wrong time. I don't think this is an Aquarian trait. writesomething unregistered	posted January 04, 2008 01:21 AM Im aquarius rising and something ive always heard throughout my childhood was im very standoffish and people assume i hate them. also if the person in question was born during the generation of uranus in sagittarius, it would make it hard to figure out his rising, because uranus would be in his 1st, and sun would conj uranus, making his rising seem very aquarian but could also be sagittarius. sagittarius rules the thighs, does he gain weight in the thighs? ive noticed this in sag rising, have really fat/thigh. also aquarius rising, could have a lot of scars on the knees, or has fallen a lot on the knees/legs. Although I do love horses and I always have bangs that sometimes remind me of a shetland pony... I think I'm usually easy and fun to get along with, I talk a lot, and love jokes and laughing... I like different cultures and that's apparent in the kind of documentaries I like to watch, the fact that I like languages and it could possibly be seen in my style of dress sometimes as I get into a lot of what most people would call "ethnic" style clothes and accessories... Sarai unregistered	posted January 04, 2008 02:37 AM Argh. Aquas and Saggies are SO similar. He's also a Sag sun so it's even harder to part the two ascendants because he's very Saggie. Horse-like face? Like a prominent nose bridge? Well, couldn't that be his Sag Sun? Not blonde/blue eyes. He has brown hair and dark eyes but the Aqua rising fits better than Sag because he doesn't seem to gain weight in the thighs. He's actually pretty slim all around but built at the same time. This is confusing me even more. He's also really athletic and active so now I don't know. Can we delve moreinto the physical characteristics between the two risings? IP: Logged

I'm finding this hard especially because the guy in question is a Saggie Sun and very into it. Very active, very open, very worldly... your typical Sagittarius. Therefore, the Sag rising seems so right. But so does the Aquarius rising. Insight into physical characteristics, or actual "quirks" would be helpful. Something distinguishing/exclusive to Sag or Aqua rising would be awesome. Sarai IP: Logged
Lana29865 unregistered	posted January 04, 2008 03:03 AM Man man is Aqua Sun and Aqua ASC, so probably his sun sign also influences his appearance, but he is very, very tall, slim and has an exquisite "noble" profile (Linda mentions this in her Sun sign book). His eyes are like a mirror, you can't see his feelings if you don't know him well. He forgets everything all the time, he's probably the least organized person I know. IP: Logged

Maybe my long hair is like a horse's mane or tail. Being a fire rising I do have a tendency to red/auburn hair. But I'm also Jupiter in Aries. My other placements are: Taurus sun Scorpio moon Venus in Gemini Mars in Pisces Pluto square ascendant Sun trine ascendant. I don't know if this helps at all, but... The second one is a couple of years old but I think it demonstrates the "horse's tail" effect. So maybe I do look like a horse! Maybe other Sag risings could post pictures so we can find similarities? IP: Logged
SagSun unregistered	posted January 04, 2008 03:28 AM Now, I don't know that much about the physical characteristics of Aquarius, but I can tell you about those of us Sags ... So, I wouldn't say Sags have horse-like faces (what's that anyway???) ... Sag faces are more oval shaped with high foreheads. Overall the Sag features are well rounded while Aquarians have somewhat square faces. Sags aren't necessarily athletic built ... they come in all sizes, so to speak. I have seen Sag risings (as well as people with a Sag stellium) that were pretty short and somewhat chubby, I have seen some that were pretty fat (just think of Danny DeVito ... he has Sag rising if I remember correctly), and I have also seen some that are slim with extremely long legs and short torsos. Sags put on weight pretty easily, after all Sag is ruled by Jupiter, the planet of expansion. However, from what I have seen they usually gain weight on the hips and the belly rather than on the thighs. Hope this helps!!! heart cakes unregistered	posted January 04, 2008 06:09 AM i'm a sag rising and i have big teeth. which i hear is a horse like quality also jumbo thighs. i think the key difference between sag and aquarius rising would be excitment. i get excited very easily and i find it hard to sit still. i think aquas get excited to but it would be more erratic and more to do with thinking and being weird, as opposed to just super excited and fun and animated and physically active.. whalepiscean unregistered	posted January 04, 2008 08:33 AM My friend and I were born a few hours apart so we have the same suns and moons but I rise in Aquarius and she is Sag which makes us appear very different. I think Aqua rising cares more about appearance. They like to look unique. Whereas Sag likes to dress comfy and casual. Aqua rising is not as friendly to strangers as Sag. I can be seen as aloof even though Im not, while my Sag rising friend is very social, bubbly, friendly to strangers. Those are two main differences I think. IP: Logged

I am a Sag Asc/Pisces Moon. I am the one on the right, with the polk a dots. Aqua rising, my bff alone. Aqua rising(Mom) Sag Rising (Me again) Sag Moons, Hubby Libra Asc, Baby Aqua rising Hope that helps I do see the horsey in my Self. My hair falls around my face, especially my bangs. I know this sounds weird but something about you actually reminds me of me... yeah we look different but I see something there. I just realised you can't see my forehead in either of the pictures I posted, but someone mentioned that Sag risings can have a high forehead... I definitely have that. The strange thing is that I can't relate to the second picture of myself anymore... I was 30 then but still not very mature within myself, I think you can see that in the picture. I think that Pluto ticking over my ascendant recently kinda 'did' something. Nothing bad, but just... 'something'. Weird I know. Oh I just remembered two celebrities who have Sagittarius rising: Brigitte Bardot and Marc Bolan. I'll find some pictures and post them. IP: Logged
