For some reason reading this reminded me of something really cute.. It's not connected to those threads though.Anyways, I was at the movies watching ‘Star Dust’ with a friend a fair while ago. These three kids sat next to us on the back row. They were about 8 - 12/13 years old. Two boys and a girl. I thought it was sooooooooooooooo sweet at the end of the movie.. one of the boys said to the other "wow we have to GET that on DVD" and they really liked the story.. They kept talking about it. I thought it was cute because people always say boys only like Transformers - type stories (which I love anyways) but don't like fairy-tale type movies.. Not true for those two. IP: Logged |

Lol! Well Coral, guys do have their own version of a Fairy Tales but we rather prefer to call em "epics" . Gladiator, Troy, Once upon a time in Mexico, Devil may cry (the videogame) and the list continues. Loved the links you posted and well there is no denying that I can co-relate to the points made by the guys in the Women's thread. However, personally I would prefer a person who is a bit more balanced when it comes to attitude and demenor that has been exclusively stereotyped to one specfic sex. Sure which red-blooded male doesn't loves an emotionally charged woman but an emotionally charged woman who can be more objective then your average female has a greater personal appeal . IP: Logged |

Not true for those two::: i believe not only those two but a whole lot of men do like those fairy tales . whether they accept it or not . i mean we like hard core actions too( i my case i would rather prefer saving private ryan to Die Hard -any series or a million dollar baby to Rocky Balboa ) but these tales too have thier own place .

I know what you mean. I think I'm similar. Those posts do stereotype male/female behaviors.. but there is so much material out there - stereotyping men/women in negative ways, that I guess I don't mind some positive bias lol - to level all the negative comments Cancerrg, how are you these days? I haven't seen you post much lately.

I think you should have posted it in Soul Unions because it seems their souls are talking. So beautiful. I read part of the comments on men telling what they love about women. It is really beautiful. Such love. IP: Logged |

All I want to know is, "Was Stardust good?" It looked like something I'd like. The last fantasy movie I saw was The Golden Compass, and that was excellent. I'd highly recommend that to anyone.IP: Logged |

MysticMelody, glad you liked it AG, I liked Star Dust. It was well done overall. It has its typical storybook parts I guess.. but they have some very original characters as well, like Robert De Niro - the flying pirate - he's hilarious in that movie. It has a lot of fun/adventure/romance. Kids especially would love it.. but I think it's worth watching for adults as well. I doubt that it comes close to being as good as The Golden Compass, though. I still haven't seen that, but from what I've heard it's an awesome movie.. Judging by the trailer it seems very interesting and engaging - something that puts your mind to work.. Star Dust is more relaxing/entertaining, something nice to watch when you want to relax your mind - rather than put it to work IP: Logged |

Thanks for the review. I don't mind if it's not as good as The Golden Compass. I just wanted to know if it was entertaining. Hilarious, fun, adventure, and romance are all very postive things in a movie. I think with my 5th house Moon I'm pretty easily pleased where movies are concerned. The Golden Compass was captivating. The story was intriguing throughout. The acting/actors were great as well. You'll love the young female lead. Very smart, passionate and heroic. I know it disappointed Disney at the box office in its release weekend. I hope it wasn't disappointing overall, because I'd really be interested in seeing the rest of the story. IP: Logged |
