Hi, augentier - Yes, I had this with a Virgo few years ago. We had conjunct asc, jupiter conj. sun, moon conj. s.node, moon conj. MC, etc...but we found flaws in each other that were insurmountable. Our libidos were not in sync, our money handling style was very different, (read: him cheap, me generous) and we didn't have the same interests. It was so dissappointing that it didn't work out because we adored each other initially. - It was also one of the most painfull breakups I ever experienced to date, and it left me a bit jaded to be honest, because it started out so well, and seemed to promise so much happiness. We had some crap Neptune aspects in the composite chart, so I guess I was fore-warned. That didn't make it any less painfull though. IP: Logged |

Right here, baby. Sun trine Sun, Ascendant sextile Ascendant, Moon sextile Moon, Venus trine Ascendant (!) and a significant Saturn connection (among other things) that sucked like nothing has ever sucked before.------------------ "You stay young as long as you can learn, acquire new habits and suffer contradiction." Did you check the natals, before you looked at the synastries? Also, I have found that a Jupiter-Sun-conjunction or other splendid connections is ONLY really good, if it falls into or rules relationship houses. A Sun-Jupiter-conjunction in 6th or 10th house wouldn`t really help the PERSONAL relationship. Also, how was it being aspected? A conjunction that gets only squares, could turn out unexpectedly difficult. DD IP: Logged |

In the examples of synatry given above, I am not seeing aspects to Mars, Pluto, Chiron, so I would not be so quick to call them good synastries. I think for romantic and sexual relationships, good synatry must have positive aspects involving Venus, Mars, Pluto, Chiron. If Mars is not positively aspected, sex doesn't really happen or sex is not enjoyable, unless there are aspects to Pluto ( Pluto is the higher octave of Mars), in which case sex is a definite possibility. Venus and Pluto positive aspects are also indicative of relationships that will be significant for both parties. Also, if the other person has these planets (venus, mars, Pluto, Jupiter) in your 12th house, even if they make positive aspects to your planets, their 12th house position is likely to drive you crazy instead of being of practical use to you.
