I've been thinking about their sun signs. This is what I've come up with:

Tony - I can't decide, but he may be Libran. He seemed to take ages to weigh up decisions and when rushed into a decision he had to talk to his psychiatrist about it because it freaked him out so much

Carmela - Capricorn. Definitely. Ambitious (she had to have a housebuilding project of her own) feared poverty above everything. Went into business with her father.

Christopher - Gemini. Liked writing scripts (badly) and didn't know when to keep his mouth shut.

Pauly - Cancer. Devoted to his mother and his house was extremely important to him. Always kept a bit of money in reserve (which could have got him whacked)

Sylvio - Virgo. Definitely. Did anyone else but Syl do any cleaning at the Bing? In the 6th series when Tony got shot it was obvious that stepping up to be the head of the family was not a natural thing for him to do (asthma attacks etc). He was a natural wise counsellor in the background.

Anthony Junior - Aquarius. Who else but an Aquarian nut-job would quote Nietzche in front of his mobster father and then be surprised when he got a slap for it?

Meadow - Capricorn too. I think. Old head on young shoulders.

My take:

Tony - scorpio, but maybe a taurus moon (or vice versa) I think he acts like a taurus when it comes to food and his general way - he's pretty laid back. He gives off scorpio vibes too, and he's a mob boss - very scorpio.

Carmella- Leo? Very showy home and outfits. Big on enertaining.

Meadow- libra. Very smart and airy.

Carmella, A leo. Needs the bling, likes to show it off and needs to be the bosses wife. (center of attention)

Meadow, Aqua?....idealistic. Likes volunteer work.

Paulie was definitely a cancer. It's all about me with a cancer and gloom and doom. And the mother connection is key also.

AJ was a triple gemini. detached, scattered, sarcastic.

Chris was a pisces (addict and couldnt get tough enough) with merc in gemini.(the writer)

Uncle Jun....an Aries. the one liners.

Silvio definitely a Virgo. had to have nice clothes and always with the lint brush. a diplomat.

Janice and aqua. ecclectic, itinerate, detached.

Adrianna, a scorp. too loyal. to a fault and to her detriment.

Tony—Aries. He had the massive, ram-like body and the anger management issues. Also the "I'm the Boss" mentality and the abusive ferocity hiding extreme emotional vulnerability.

Carmela—Sagittarius. Liked the social "prestiege" and (psuedo) royalty that went along with being the spouse of a mafia king. Liked luxury, pleasure and excess. Dorky romantic. Good with kids. Had a painfully snobby side and a noticeable lone-wolf tendency (the "Full Leather Jacket" episode). Had a rebellious streak, (initiating the separation from Tony after her verboten Furio fantasies; her romance with A.J.'s teacher).

Meadow—Aries like Dad, maybe an Aries on the cusp of Taurus. Ambitious and smart, but had to work at it and was insecure about every potential failure (took ectasy to score higher on her SATs). Got lazy if confronted with adversity (bad grades her first semester at Columbia, depression and avoidance after Jackie's death). Impulsive (Noah, Jackie, Jr.). Daddy's little girl (never could let go of the idea that her father wasn't a hero).

A.J.—Leo. The coddled child who just never seemed to "get" responsibility or maturity. Overly self-indulgent. Some athletic ability. A tendency toward show-boating (his fake environmentalism).

Christopher—Classic double Scorpio. Paranoid and suspicious with a violent streak, an apparent fan of the secretive, pack-like mafia lifestyle. Sexually passionate. Often found in dark, cavernous locations.

Adrianna—I actually think Adriana was kinda Geminiesque, especially because she embodies the dual nature of so many Gemini businesswomen I know: half ruthless boss/half childlike baby doll. But I could also see her as a Leo, (which would explain the on again/off again nature of her relationship with Chris) another Sagittarius, (the height, the "promoter" attitude) or a Scorpio.

Silvio—Virgo. Mostly because of his unwavering service to Tony and the crew. But I would also entertain the possibility that Silvio was a Libra, mostly because his service to Tony had a lot to do with "peacekeeping."

Paulie—Leo. Hair-trigger, out of control temper; arrogance. Leoesque hair.

Janice—Virgo. The ursine body shape and the Virgo greediness (little appreciated thing about Mercury-ruled Virgos—many of them really like their money). Embodied the absolute amorality I've seen so many Virgos enjoy. Could be vengeful, also an underappreciated Virgo trait.

Junior—he struck me as Virgo, too. His house was always fastidious, and he had a practical approach to problem-solving. Had a Virgo's appreciation for tradition.

Johnny Sack—Libra. My God, those clothes. The term "flamboyant" comes to mind. Seemed to have a flare for entertaining, even if it did require him to go to certain extremes (his daughter's wedding). Devoted to his wife, thought of her in a refined, idealized way. House like a castle.

If I think of any more, I'll post 'em.

Interesting interesting. Tony as a Scorp, I can see it now *rubs chin*

Any thoughts on Tony's mother? She was such a git that I don't dare offend anybody by suggesting a sign!!

Johnny Sack - yes, definitely a Libran. He freaked about the patent leather shoes on the day of his daughter's wedding (the least of his worries really, typical Libran vanity - and I can say this because I am one)

Little Carmine - Leo? Liked the glitz of the movie business.

Rosalie Aprile (one of my favourite characters) - Aries? Straightforward, direct, recovered well from crises, funny as hell.

Tony: Leo. Remember in the last season they go to a lakehouse in the summertime to celebrate Tony's birthday? I'm guessing that was early August--he's no Cancer!

Carmella: Cancer. Devoted to children and home, buisness minded and always worried about their financial future.

Meadow: I'm guessing Libra; intellectual, straightforward, fair-minded (wants to be a lawyer)

AJ: Pisces. He's a follower, lacks direction but is emotionally intense (no offense to Pisces!)

Christopher: I think he's an Aries. He kind of reminds me of a (non-violent!) Aries guy I know.

Janis: Sagittarius. Speaks her mind, has traveled a lot and has a sudden, explosive temper!

Paulie: I think he's a Cancer for the same reasons someone stated above and I could also see Sil as a Virgo...
