Truthfully, the most sensible thing to do is to uhhhh 'just live', but do you get curious and end up exciting/scaring the ssh out of yourself, trying to anticipate future joys/tragedies? Not talkin bout next July or something, but wayyy later into the deep, dark, musty, beautiful future of this century.

Example is... around when I'm 40 or so (2023), tPluto in Aqua will start chilling around my DSC, filling in the empty leg of my natal Sun/Moon/Saturn/Pluto T-square. A few yrs later, tSaturn in Taurus will eventually join in the config and rest its wrinkled butt on my Sun. Makes me wonder wtf is 'supposed' to happen that's gonna give me some wild insomnia.

Well, I'm exaggerating of course, but who looks up their future transits? See anything funky? Any thoughts?

I do a rough sketch for both my chart and my family's. But I don't get hung up about it.

If I look backwards it isn't always blindingly obvious how transits/progressions worked out when they hit. The future is going to be even less so.

Some of the worst things that happen in life (or at least in mine) are beyond control of anything I do, anyway.

My 40th will be hitting a whole lot sooner than 2023. Isn't 40 meant to be a woman's sexual peak?

I've thought about it before, but I don't cuz:
1) Who knows if I'll be alive then
2) I have way too much on my plate TODAY, to worry about 10 years from now
3) I know that transits don't cause events, so it's kinda pointless (IMHO) to look at "transits" 10 years from now, cuz its not saying much. Considering, I'm nowhere near where I'll (realistically) be 10 years from now. But if I wanted a pretty (and probably highly inaccurate) picture, I might glance now and then.

Now, Progressions and Solar Returns meh...I've looked 5 years ahead of now, tops. I plan to graduate college next spring, and move out of state shortly after....so within the next 5 years so I've checked to see if theres some kind of astrological "fingerprint" indicating this, but thats all...

Apparently, in less than 2 years I may get married, enter a business partnership, or meet another *very* significant other. Or just be freaking out about having no one.

Natal Sun will progress to 26' Scorpio...exactly conjunct natal Mercury (7th house ruler), and my progressed Moon will be in Gemini (ruled by Mercury), conjunct P.DC for a while, in the natal 7th house, exactly conjunct natal Chiron, conjunct Progressed DC. Progressed Moon will be exactly opposite Progressed Uranus, opposing natal Uranus by 1 degree. Also- P. Merc forms an exact trine to P. and natal Jupiter.

This is why I find progressions more "accurate" for long term stuff.... I hope this is accurate. I wouldn't mind a little attention

EEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!
NO WAAAAAAAAAYYYY!!!!

Heck, I don't even want to see my chart for the 1st half of this year, I already saw it from a view last year, didn't like what I saw and now I know why.

I don't even want to look at the charts of my immediate family anymore because I can see what's going on with them and, once again, myself, in their charts.

I'm sure I'll look at some point as I'm having health issues and I'll need to start timing treatments and minor surgical procedures, stuff like that. But once a chart really starts talking to me clearly, yeeesh!! If I survive this year and a half, my Solar Arc Semi-Square, which is in 5 years is looking MIGHTY AWESOME!!!!

No, I never look at future transits..predictive astrology has never been accurate for me. My mind changes so often I don't think the stars can keep up.

I look at transits all the way to the year 2000.

I haven't checked out future transits, but after becoming engaged I looked at my progressed composite with my SO at 10 year intervals. For the next 50 years. My Sag optimism.

I've also looked at our progressed synastry. His p.Venus will be tightly trining my p.Sun for all of eternity.

Heh, I try to avoid thinking quite that far ahead. I think I looked at what Pluto will be doing to me in 20 years once, but that was as far as I got. I do think a lot about where Saturn will be in my chart once it returns to Libra. Going to reflect some difficult times for me, I think, particularly at the end. At one point, it will be conjunct my natal Pluto while technically opposing natal Venus and Mars. Not going to be pretty. So, 5 or so years ahead is unnerving enough.

Waves from the back of the short bus.
Not for transits particularly. Return Charts.
For example my NN return chart =2/25/2016,[saved on astro.com w/ 85 other charts]
  • Moon 0 Virgo..Natal ASC is 0 Virgo
  • Chiron 9+ Pisces..natal Karma 10+ Pisces
  • Mars 17+ Mercury 19+ Pisces..natal Moon 18+ Pisces
Those are the "tightest" aspects for the NN Return. I have looked at Solar Ret.up to 2021.

I did this a few times and it does FREAK me out. Its a really bad idea and i'd rather just live life day by day and within the general year. You dont live a real life if youre worrying about 10 years from now.
