I know you may say, "There isn't just one", but what in your mind is the best indicator of ambition?

Hmm...I'm thinking of my little sister here, she's 18 and has more ambition than anyone else I know. Maybe a little too ambitious. She's a Capricorn w/ Cap ASC and she has her Moon, Mars, and Pluto in her 10th house. I think the Moon and Mars in the 10th are what I see in her..passionate drive for advancing in career and related opportunities. ------------------

Under Placidus I have Moon and Pluto in the 10th. My career drive is low. Aspects to the MC would give clues as to why this is - I don't think these planets alone would give any pointers. I'm not sure what they're doing there, unless you consider this to be the mother's house then it starts to make more sense to me on a personal level. I'd agree with Sun conjunct MC, also the Sun conjunct Saturn.

I've got Saturn and Pluto in the tenth house in addition to a capricorn moon (first house) with many planets aspecting my midheaven. Others have told me that I'm very ambitious.IP: Logged |

I am not very clear about the question.There is 'ambitious' which sometimes could mean lots of drive and energy but really who will you be when you are, say, 40? A manager?! Lots of those about! Then there is famous and successful. This sometimes goes along with the ambitious drive but sometimes fame is unsought. So -- do you mean ambitious as 'wishing to go places'? Or do you mean famous -- successful -- arrived. Right on top. I do not know much about ambitious -- if wishes were horses you know... The sun in the first house is almost ALWAYS indicative of fame and success. Even in a chart which spells lack of ambition, the sun in the first house will make you shine. I think ambitious only means a craving for success. It does not mean the thing itself. ------------------

I have sun in Capricorn conjunct my MC, but I think I APPEAR more ambitious than I really am. Or, maybe I'm going through a bad transit, because I certainly don't FEEL very ambitious lately! lol------------------
