Dear all,This is my first time on Lindaland and I have a question about love and the 12th house. We all know that Venus in the 12th is related to unrequited love. I have had this problem twice in my life and the experience was very painful for me. My Venus is actually in the 7th house and seems to be in a good condition. The only difficult aspects are Venus square Uranus, Venus square Chiron, Venus sesquiquadrate Vertex and Venus opposition Ascendant. The good aspects are Sun conjunct Venus, Venus sextile Mars, Venus trine Saturn, Venus sextile True Node and Venus sextile Midheaven. It is interesting, however, that though my 12th house is completely empty, the sign on the cusp is Taurus and Taurus is ruled by Venus. Does anybody here think that Venus as a house ruler can play the same role as Venus in the 12th house and bring the same bad luck to the native? Any comments and observations from your experience will be appreciated. Regards, Yuliana

Well, Yuliana, I also have Venus ruling the 12th, but the cuspal sign is in Libra. My natal Venus is in the 7th house, conjoining the Descendant. It Squares Mars. That doesn't sound great, right? Certainly, I've had bad luck in life, but I can't say romance is one of those areas. The opposite is the case if anything. I'm not dead yet, but so far, so good. My brother has Venus in the 12th. I don't know if he has had romantic bad luck. He's a very private person. He's also been married to the same lady for many years and they have three children together. They seem happy enough. Don't think I don't believe in bad luck, I certainly do, but I'm not sure it is a certainty as written on a horoscope. I wouldn't like to say what percentage of bad luck was caused by bad judgement and what percentage is random where no blame can possibily be attached, but when we are talking romance, I think the sliding scale shifts a little, as opposed to health, as another example.
