If anyone would be kind enough to give some input to this, I'd be grateful.
This year I am experiencing both Pluto sqr Pluto and Saturn sqr Saturn
My natal Pluto (Libra) is in 4th and transitting Pluto (Cap) in 8th; natal Saturn (Gem) is in 1st and transitting Saturn (Virg) is in 3rd.

I'd like some info as to how this will manifest in my life this year.
I know Pluto has transformative qualities and 4th house is family (among other things) and 8th house rebirth, death, sex etc. But can anyone join the dots for me...?

Thanx
*edit* (BTW - if it's preferred I'll post in new readings forum to carry on discussion )

re transiting pluto square natal pluto ..
pluto is a 'generational' planet .. not a personal one ..
so that transiting square will effect a whole group ..
how it effects one on a personal level will probably depend on aspects to pluto within the natal chart ..

one very basic take on saturn to saturn can be found here ..
in essence saturn plays the role of 'examiner' ..
if there are flaws in the 'structure' .. they often show up under a saturn to saturn transit ..
think back to when saturn made the opposition aspect to your natal saturn ..
that might hold some clues ..

try a google search with this string .. "transiting saturn square natal saturn" ..
a number of articles are listed ..

re the saturn transit .. you may find it just gives you a case of the 'frustrating grumpies' for a few weeks ..
e.g. your driving along in your car .. and for some reason find truck drivers to be a pain in neck ..
and you start thinking all trucks should be banned from the roads ..
and you start to carry a chip on your shoulder against every truck driver in the universe ..
or if your a pedestrian .. you might find car drivers to be downright dangerous to your well being ..
and feel like chucking a brick thru the nearest car window to vent your anger at car drivers ..

people sometimes get something of an 'authoritarian' mindset under a saturn transit ..
e.g. "i'll give you a piece of my mind and tell you how it should be and what you should do " ..
.. 'fault finding' .. in other words .. 'grumble mumble grumble' .. ;-))

i just went looking for a thread where someone said they felt somewhat like being nasty to other people
and they couldn't understand why they were feeling like that as it was so 'out of character' for them ..
i immediately thought 'hard aspect saturn transit to natal merc' .. then i scrolled down to view their chart ..
and it was transiting saturn squaring natal saturn ..
( i think .. can't re-check 'cause i can't find the thread )

so it depends how you handle it ..
the scenerio for 'brick thru car window' under a saturn transit ... would probably have serious consequences ..
just watch the news now and again .. and note how many criminals get caught out under a saturn transit age ..
e.g. 27/28 .. 35/36 .. etc etc ..

any sort of 'structure' comes under 'examination' during a saturn transit ..
could be ones 'life structure' .. it might be the body 'bone structure' .. ones house structure .. ones car .. etc etc ..
in other words if their is a flaw .. saturn will find it .. .. and the structure .. if weak .. could tumble down
so .. if you've got a leaky roof .. repair it now ..
if you've neglected to update your computer's antivirus software .. do it now ..
prventative maintainance in other words ..

Interesting feedback there H-Dragon, cos I've been finding fault with relations and the transitting Saturn is in my 4th house. So coming under scrutiny is my daughter's behaviour, my brother and sister, my mum, dad etc., all the people I am usually closest to I'm just looking at and going 'were you always this way???'
I'm also finding fault with myself, like why am I following certain paths, do I really want to do this, am I doing this to please others or myself? (Natal Saturn 1st house, maybe?)
Gees, I thought Saturn return was difficult, sure life was tough, but I didn't question my life path as much as I am right now...
Thanx again for your input

if you fancy posting your natal saturn degree postion ..
i can have a look to see what the time span is ..
i think it's retrograde at the moment and goes back to 1 degree virgo ..
then goes direct in may .. ( although i'll have to recheck that ) ..

re: .. * t.saturn squaring natal saturn *

saturn's current position is 04.07 virgo and retrograde ..

on april 8th it will be at 02.12 virgo and still retrograde
on may 8th it will be at 01.42 virgo and direct ( direct on may 3rd )
on june 8th it will be at 02.48 virgo and direct
on july 8th it will be at 05.18 virgo and direct

on 17th july it will be at *06.07 virgo and direct ( so 'exactly' square )

on august 8th it will be at 08.37 virgo and direct

*aprox .. begining of june thru 'till the 17th will be crunch time ..
i.e. when your most likely to feel it i guess ..
maybe keep an eye out for mars 'n venus transits .. 'n moon as well ..
i.e those short transits that can act as an emotional 'trigger' ..
well .. you'll know it 'cause you'll feel them ..
or get some pre-warning via astro.com via their daily forecast data ..

hhhhhmmm .. by the looks of it .. aprox 15th thru till the 19th of march ..
mercury and venus will square your natal saturn ..
first venus then mercury ..
they are sort of travelling in unison at the moment ..
but merc being faster looks to overtake venus by the end of march

by retrograde motion ..
the saturn to saturn square transit was aprox thru the month of feburary ..

Yikes! This Saturn retrograde is exactly conjuncting my natal Moon right now in the 7th house, conjuncting my natal S Node/opposing my natal N Node by 1 degree, and conjuncting my Venus/Vertex midpoint by 2 degrees. It's also exactly squaring my Moon/N Node midpoint, my ASC/Pluto midpoint by 1 degree and my natal Karma by 2 degrees.

Sigh.

i should have added ..
begining of november '07 .. was the first 'hit' of the saturn transit by direct motion
i.e. that's when it was 'exact' .. so building up probably a few weeks prior in october '07 ..

Hi HD - some feedback is fair I feel...
November '07 I moved countries; left my home in UK to relocate closer to family in Australia, had planned to bring my beloved dog of 10 years but she was declared unfit for travel so by mid December she had passed (devastating ) during this time and even now my dad is battling cancer, my mum is more dependant on me then my other siblings for support and me and my daughter are living with them at the mo, quite rstricting given that I'd become so used to living alone. Add to that my daughter and my mum are constantly at battle-stations with each other and every one in the family has an opinion on how I should discipline her agh!
I had plans when I came back to Oz to start my own business however I am strapped for cash and finding it challenging securing work, I am also back at University doing my 3rd degree which everyone tells me is a great thing - but I just feel restricted and my heart is not really in it.
I am hopeless, I have spent most of my life trying to find that which will make me feel contented, not rich (although that would be nice) but just feel like I am on the right path for me, satisfied with my daily journey. I meditate alot, and am generally a very positive person, maybe it's the grief for my dog (who was my best friend for so long) and my dad's battle with the big C., I don't know.
Do these transits reflect these feelings/events?
Staying hopeful - Cat

from : .. 'A psychological approach to transits and progressions'
this is towards the end of the article .. by the astro-compass image ..

" If a separation occurs during a transit of Uranus trine Venus, it will have a completely different feeling from one which occurs under a transit of Pluto opposition Venus. In the eyes of others, the event may look the same. Joe Bloggs leaves his wife and runs off with his eighteen-year-old secretary. But if Joe's wife has Uranus trine Venus at the time, she will probably heave a great sigh of relief to be rid of him and free at last. If she has Pluto opposition Venus, the most bitter thing about the whole situation is the betrayal. If progressed Venus opposes Neptune, she may feel victimised. If transiting Saturn squares Venus, she may be preoccupied with material survival and a gnawing sense of inferiority in the face of a humiliating rejection. "
