I met someone recently who sort of knocked my socks off. I won't get into all the details but I am curious about his placements and wondered if anyone could help me out a little with a little personality interpretation.

He has:
Gemini Sun and Ascendant
Taurus Moon, Mercury, Venus and Jupiter
Leo Mars
Cancerian Saturn

He also has a 12th house stellium which includes Sun,Moon,Mercury,Venus and Jupiter plus six asteroids and POF. The funny thing is that his chart and house positions are almost identical to mine, except for a couple of his planets in Taurus and the fact that I don't have quite as many planets in the 12th.

So I get him in a very deep way because I can see so much of myself being mirrored back to me, but at the same time I sense a reserve about him and I wonder if this is partly due to his Mercury and Venus in Taurus.

What is a Gemini with Venus in Taurus like?? I don't think I've ever met one until now. I feel like he might want to ask me out but I also feel like it will never happen.

DOn't know about the venus but my Gemini w/ Taurus moon was more physical than mental. Mental ability wasn't all that important to him and he was kinda quiet. He was very jealous. VERY jealous.

Johnny Depp is a Gem with a Taurus Venus. Can't remember for sure, but I think he also has a Leo Mars. (Edit - nope his Mars is in Virgo.)

Your charts make for a nice, natural affinity. With all that Taurus and 12th house energy, he's probably very shy. With the shyer types, like Taurus, they seem to consider themselves doing their share of the work by merely showing interest and an attraction to someone. That's as forward as they get, and they expect the other party to actually make the move.

So I hope you don't hold it against him if he's uncomfortable with initiating a new relationship. His Leo Mars could make him more courageous, or it could increase his pride and make him even more fearful of rejection.

Gemini Sun with Taurus in Venus.

That's me, that's my brother. He has:

Saturn in Taurus in 12th
Venus in Taurus in 12th CNJ ASC
ASC Taurus
Mercury in Gemini in 1st
Sun in Gemini in 2nd

The Taurus influence makes Gemini more serious, sensible and grounded. What's he like? Well, he's funny and witty, but you wouldn't call him flighty. His college friends laughed about their first impression of him because they thought he looked quite scary but he's alright really, good fun when you get to know him. He's quite a private person (12th house) so I don't know much about his past relationships although we are quite close. He's been married a long time and has three kids. Oh, he has Moon SQ Saturn. I never expect gushing.

I have:

Sun in Gemini in 7th/8th cusp
Ceres in Gemini in 8th
Venus in Taurus in 7th
Mercury in Taurus in 7th
Saturn in Taurus in 7th

I'm generally quite outgoing but again, the Taurus influence tones the lighter side of Gemini down. I am also in a long term relationship, in which I take a lot of responsibilty as it involves helping with his business affairs. My husband expects me to be all-around competent and sensible. That suits me, to be honest.

Your friend has the Taurus stellium in the 12th? If he is reserved and serious it makes sense. There is probably plenty going on when you get to know him, and at home it is likely to come out a lot more.

Yeah, see that's what I was wondering about. I have Leo Mars too and I know that I am pretty good at inititating things but I've been through a world of rejection this year myself so I'm not about to step up at this point. I just sort of thought that his Gemini Sun might step in to woo me somehow but I guess not. He seems just as physical as he does mental to me, and quite watery as well. I was sure he had a Pisces Asc when I first met him, although his 12th house stellium explains that.

Our charts are sooooo similar, it's bizarre.

Him ----------------Me

ASC ~ Gemini ---------- Gemini
Sun ~ Gemini (12) -------Cancer (2)
Moon ~ Taurus (12) -------Taurus (12)
Mercury ~ Taurus (12) -------Gemini (1)
Venus ~ Taurus (12) -------Cancer (2)
Mars ~ Leo (3)---------Leo (3)
Jupiter ~ Taurus (12)--------Taurus (12)
Saturn ~ Cancer (3)--------Leo (3)

And then the rest is the same sign and house placements, except that his Neptune is techinically in H6 conjuncting the DESC while mine is in 7. And his Vertex conjuncts my NN, and his Moon conjuncts my SN (as well as my own).

So I felt *alot* from (and about) this guy, nevermind the weird synchronicities. And I'm pretty sure I'm not even ready to have a relationship but at the same time I can't stop thinking about him.

blue moon ~ Moon square Saturn? Yup, this guy has it too. He wrote me a brief-ish email telling me that he really enjoyed meeting me and said that I had a "remarkable presence that he found completely disarming" but the whole tone to the email seemed to be one of not taking things any further so now I just feel a little confused.

I can sense he's private and that's cool because generally I am too, but not so much as he is, I suspect.

I have heard that Venus in Taurus can make you move slooooowly and Jane, you just confirmed that, so maybe my Mercury in Gemini is just being impatient? I actually feel a tiny bit flaky for even starting this thread, but the whole experience really affected me... So are you saying that I would have to be the one who intiates things?

Thanks for all your replies you guys

Flaky? Why? There are plenty of people about with their Sun in one sign, and a stellium in the sign before or after. It is a pertinent discussion topic.

Gut instinct - stick with it. He is probably worth knowing. If you manage to bag him you will have a man you can rely on who won't mess you about.

For a 12th house guy with Moon SQ Saturn that WAS gushing.

Well, I think I'm feeling flaky for more personal reasons. I suppose asking a question is alright

Was that really gushing? Hilarious. So the question remains: should I give him some time and see if he initiates anything? Or should I just assume that it's never going to happen if left up to him??

I actually don't have any experience with Venus in Taurus, just Sun in Taurus. But I'm thinking that all that Taurus and 12th house activity must give him a strong Taurus/Pisces feel. In my experience, those are two signs that especially hate emotional risk. Taurus wants to feel secure, and Pisces is indirect and idealistic. Taurus would prefer the other person make the move or at least make her interest very obvious, and Pisces prefers to avoid direct reality checks, so would rather determine if you're interested indirectly over simply asking you out. These are of course generalizations, and, to generalize again, his Leo Mars may make him more comfortable with taking the initiative.

Since you're not sure if you're ready for a relationship, you can take your time and enjoy getting to know him.

Jane, I wish you were *my* boyfriend. Although I suppose that would entail one of us either switching teams or seeing a doctor. And breaking up your happy home. So forget about that.

Instead, I'll just give you a hearty thanks for your anecdotal evidence. I have to say, the possibility of even just being his friend appeals to me. He seems so interesting and deep and he makes me laugh which is priority number one for me. Plus, he's clever and that turns me on!

Well, back to square one.

Either way, I've decided that I'm going to make it clear that at the very least I want to be his friend. And for now, despite the fact that I have the libido of an adolescent boy, I will make do. After all, what's my Moon in Taurus good for, if not that?

Btw, Jane, where do you live? In North America? You always seem to be up at the same ungodly hours as me.

You just want me for my Leo Moon. I'm cool with that. Perhaps instead of the hotel room, we could get a cheating cottage. Something quaint and dirty.

I do live in N. America. I thank you for giving such a general place as an option for an answer. "I do indeed live in the Western Hemisphere!"

We were actually just discussing sleep habits over in free for all. http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum7/HTML/009879.html

Clever and deep. I can see the appeal. Of course go with whatever you're comfortable with, but keep in mind that some guys need the woman to be the initiator, and he does seem to have an astrological profile that fits that.

Yep, that's definitely something I noticed about them, thinking they have something going and the object of their affection not realizing it til he's already p-ssed off.

Well, it must be said that I have been only with Scorpios for a long time and before that it was Cancers with Scorpio Moons and Mercury Leos so I'm used to something...uh..
different

In fact, as I mentioned here a long time ago, the first email my ex ever sent me was a link to 2 Tiffany engagement rings, asking me which one I liked better. But I think it's clear how that turned out, so I can admit that it may be time for something a little different.

As for your suggestion of a 'cheating cottage' Jane, once again you've proved that you would make a stellar boyfriend and I'm seriously considering your offer. How did you know of my love for cottages? The fact that you did is enough.
