Also...some of the golden section aspects if using larger orbs are also Ptolemaic aspects and some minor aspects like biquintile,semisquare. That is something to keep in mind. But close orbed aspects are based on geometry,harmonics....especially if involving Golden Section Triangles which equate to midpoint configurations.

That makes sense because I am a Dyslexia,Dyspraxia,learning disability,neurodivergent,neurodiversity,mental health human rights advocate/activist.

Malcolm X was a member of the Nation of Islam,and he thought all Whites were bad and preached against them while he was fighting for civil rights for his fellow Blacks. He experienced a lot of discrimination as a Black person. In the end, he changed his views. He broke away from the Nation of Islam stemming from realizing the hypocrisy of Elijah Muhammad. He thought that there were good white people. He was assassinated by 3 blacks who were members of the Nation of Islam.

I used to think that psychiatry was bad. I used to hate psychiatrists. I was passionate about it in regards to my neurodiversity mental health advocacy/activism. I was mistreated because of my neurodivergent traits and was misdiagnosed by psychiatrists. I talked about racism in psychiatry too. I am multiethnic Black,White,Hispanic,Native American. Later on,I decided that not all psychiatrists are bad,and that many do help people. I even wrote a forgiveness letter to the psychiatrists that misdiagnose me. I do call out for reform in the mental health system,and I did create a petition to help stop the misdiagnosing of neurodivergents.
I am also considering Unitarian Universalist church which fit with my religious/spiritual beliefs and have a history of being involved in social justice,activism,advocacy.

Seeing the golden section aspect similarities with Malcolm X made me realize how similar he and I are as well as gave more confirmation that I am meant to be an advocate/activist.

I also share Moon-Jupiter,Mars-Neptune golden aspects with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr as well as Moon in Pisces and an unaspected Uranus that disposits a planet in Aquarius(his:Mercury,mine:Mars). I believe in Unity and Universal Love like him and my father who shared Sun in Capricorn and Moon in Pisces with Dr. King. My multiethnic background made that easy for me.

Other things that I share in common with Malcolm X:
He and I shared unstable mothers that experienced being in psychiatric institutions. He and I share institution experience in common(he was in prison,and I was in the Navy...the uniforms look the same too....the Navy working uniform aka dungarees look like prison uniform)
We were both strongly affected by gun violence(he was shot to death by 3 black men from Nation of Islam,and I was with my mom when she got shot 3 days before my 3rd birthday by a schizophrenic black man)

If using wider orbs, The Mars-Pluto golden section triange is a Mars biquintile Pluto.
The Mars-Pluto golden section aspect is part of a golden section triangle with Sun
If using wider orbs,I have a Sun decile Pluto. My Sun-Mars golden aspect is like the missing link. Some people who use wide orbs would consider it a Sun trine Mars with 10 degree orb which orbs that I don't use for trines. With the Sun,Mars,Pluto in golden section to each other,it forms a golden section triangle and equates to Pluto square Sun/Mars midpoint. So it fits neatly in a harmonic unlike a Mars biquintile Pluto,wide Sun undecile Pluto,and wide Sun trine Mars.

There is a reason that geometrically,harmonic-oriented astrologers use narrower orbs than traditional astrologers.

Remember the whole point of the golden section aspects is that they are based on the golden ratio. The golden ratio is also known as divine proportion.

Eris is a body that orbits beyond Pluto,and so it's a very outerbody, and so can relate to the metaphysical. It is a scattered disk object,and it doesn't have an orbit like the the planets up to Neptune. Therefore, it's a nonconformist energy like Pluto is. The discovery of Eris led to a lot of controversy and led to discord among the astronomers ..especially leading to redefining the planetary boundaries that led to the demotion of Pluto(it was assigned a minor planet number). Some astrologers agree with that,and other astrologers disagree.

Like Eris' co-discoverer,Michael Brown said that the mythological goddess of Discord,Eris caused strife among men by making them think that their opinions are right and others are wrong.

There is like a diversity,divergence about Eris that calls for the tolerance of others. Of course,many people are intolerant of others,and so there can be bigotry.

Uranus was actually discovered when Mercury was square not only Eris,but conjunct Eris' Apogee(the point of an object's orbit farthest from the Earth) as well. Venus was trine/sextile the North/South Eris Nodes.

I feel that my Eris sextile Midheaven,Eris quincunx Ascendant,my Mercury biquintile Eris,and my Sun conjunct/oppose Eris Nodes indicate not only divergence,my own matters dealing with diversity,advocacy,controversy,but also my aptitude for Astrology. I believe that my Mercury biquintile Eris with 6 minutes of arc is very good for astrology as the biquintile is associated with creativity and it was one of the aspects devised by Astronomer/Astrologer Johannes Kepler. I believe that it is also a factor in my neurodivergence and being an advocate.

but yeah....I believe that Eris could be a co-ruler of Astrology with Uranus. Even the heliocentric Uranus Nodes and Perihelion/Aphelion axis of Eris are aspecting each other on a regular basis.

I don`t really know about that. I am not that active and energetic as I said.
I always said I don`t have much power, but that is not entirely true. I CHOSE to not have that kind of power and determination and power to manipulate, because when I was rather young I realized that I could do it so easily, manipulate others and make them do what I wanted. But I also experienced the opposite side of the coin, being manipulated and used by people I thought of as friends.
For my own power: well, when I was a youth I tried out the Ouja board like so many other people before (just it worked with me and it TOTALLY freaked me out) and then at a certain point I realized that I could have asked my friend to do anything; she would have done it without even questioning me. And I was really scared of that, when I realized it, so I chose to never use this kind of power.

Actually I pushed it so deeply down inside, that I didn`t have any conscious access to my own strenght anymore. It`s just since Tr Pluto was conjunct my Sun and Mercury, that it comes up again now and then. Mostly in school. Usually I am a nice, too nice teacher, which lets herself get manipulated easily and knowingly by her pupils, sometimes.
But lately, when I was really stressed out or angry about anything, I could feel a surge of energy shoot through me, and it was in those moments, that I had a lot of dominance and determination, Ig uess.
So, I guess, this trait is still there, but I keep it in check.

Quinnie- I do this too. I feel that if you're going to be an "expert" on something you should be able to explain it to a layperson. At least you should be able to paraphrase it AND you should be able to debate the validity of it, and if it's not a hard fact then you should be able to admit that (many scientist and religious types cannot do that).

Once I angered a professor in grad school because my classmates brought in a speaker who was an "expert" in sexual addiction, and his line of reasoning didn't make sense to me... So I asked him a question and told him MY line of reasoning as to why it didn't make sense to me. It wasn't rude or demeaning. It was simply a question. He looked flustered and before he got a chance to reply, my professor snapped at me and essentially tore me down in front of the speaker and the whole class. I was utterly hurt and appalled. Where, if not in grad school, should you be able to ask questions of "experts?" I was not demeaning him in any way. I just wanted to understand, since it wasn't flowing with my line of logic.

For the rest of my time in grad school, that particular professor had it out for me. Although, she might have anyway, because she said at the beginning of our time there that she didn't think that anyone under 30 should be a counselor; at the time I was 22, the youngest in the class.

Anyway, sorry for getting off-topic. I just wanted to say that I understand what Quinnie is talking about. Looking forward to getting my golden aspect chart.

It's bigotry that leads to equal/civil rights issues too and so there is a need for advocacy. It's often people who are divergent in some way that tend to suffer from bigotry by people who can't accept/tolerate diversity. Eris seems that it might be involved with minorities. It seems to involve people who stir things up to challenge unfairness. You see that with civil rights activists.

It could mean feeling the need to tolerate diversity. Feeling divergent. Feeling connected or empathizing with divergent people. It could also be experienced issues with bigotry from others. Because Eris is outerplanet,it could be highly perceptive.....could even point out hypocrisy which can anger people(for example....I ****** off some people by saying that as a person who is part African American, I don't celebrate 4th of July as Independence Day because African Americans weren't free after the Declaration of Independence and weren't all free until the end of the Civil War on May 10,1865 when the Confederate President was captured.....so May 10th.. I'd rather observe the Civil Rights Act. July 2,1964, I'd observe as Independence Day. Also June 12,1967 was when all interracial marriage bans were abolished...so June 12 can be observed as an Independence Day) I feel that the goddess,Eris pointed out the hypocrisy of the other goddesses because they are vain goddess who acted very petty. Eris was one of the minor goddesses, a minority goddess. From the stories that I read about the gods,they done some bad things too,and not just Eris and Ares. I also wondered if Eris was an ugly goddess too,and so she was made a minority that way. The Goddess of Love,Aphrodite picked the handsome,vain,blood thirsty Ares over the ugly,humble,hardworking Hephaestus.

Eris seems to be mainly about diversity,divergence,controversy in general.

Don't do that. I made those things up for names to put in my Solar Fire astrology program. I created labels to differentiate each aspect. I needed to put abbreviations in,and so I made the name of the aspect the same as the abbreviations. The same thing with why I put letters,numbers to differentiate the golden aspects from each other by the angle. They are all golden section aspects.

I created an aspect sort in my Solar Fire.......so it made it easier to calculate the aspects. A whole lot better,easier than doing by hand.

Here begins the theme of many of my golden section aspects. There is a heavy metaphysical bent to many of them, and for good reason. I was interested in the metaphysical, paranormal, and occult at age 8, mediumship by age 12, astrology by age 14, and spirituality in general by age 16. Part of why I have been this way is because I am clairaudial by nature. I’m not going to go into the details of that. Oddly, Neptune is not a major player in my normal natal chart, but appears to be in the golden section aspects.

I am highly imaginative, I do daydream a lot, and I am quite private. I’ve been told I’d make a good writer, and I probably would be, if I had the patience to sit down and write something of substance. This particular aspect speaks to the nature of my work as well. I just got my MA in Counseling, and, in all truth, it is a very secretive type of job. Most people can come home and vent about their job. I can’t do that because everything I do is protected by law, as well it should be. Recently I’ve been in a dilemma, but I’ve settled it within myself with the “to remain in the background” part of things. Part of me wants to go do a fun, travel the world sort of job, and the other part of me wants to do what I’m trained to do which is to help others and to remain in the background while doing so.

This essentially deals with the same types of things the first two deal with. I am irritable, and at one time in my life when I was young, I was manipulative due to people who deceived me, but I’m really not anymore. I worry about failure though. That’s one of my big fears.

Finally! An aspect not about secretiveness or the metaphysical. I would agree that I’m fairly adaptive, clever, and courteous. Maybe the success of this aspect will outweigh the failure in the last aspect. My changes and transformations are usually lucky and successful. I do wish I had more monetary gains as this speaks of.

Back to the metaphysical issues… But, what I DID find interesting about this particular aspect is the mention of ice (or hoarfrost which I looked up on wikipedia) and medical issues. About 2 years ago I slipped on some ice (actually, it really was hoarfrost as I found out from wiki- one kind of hoarfrost is often found frozen on the surface of snow, and that’s what I was walking on when I slipped) and landed on my elbow, causing me to break it, and I had to have major surgery and a screw put in it to fix it. I will never be able to fully straighten it or bend it all the way back again. It goes most of the way though, and I do have full range of motion. I rarely have pain in it.

I’d totally agree with all of these attributes. I tend to be in tune with people, and caring, but in an active way. I don’t just empathize with people, I encourage them to better themselves. I can be fickle and contrary.

I do have amazing focus and persistence when I put my mind to something. That’s why I got my BA and MA done in 6 years. I could have done it quicker, but decided I didn’t need the stress of the extra hours. I am fairly emotionally restrained. Usually when I have crises, they do tend to be sudden or unexpected.

Now this one was a surprise, but not really. Lol. Actually, I’ve always felt like though I don’t have any major aspects between my Venus and Mars, I should, because I’ve always felt more balanced in my attitude towards love and sex than most of my peers are. Many of my friends veer more towards focusing on sex and others towards love, but I think they are mutually exclusive. I am quite flirtatious and will flirt for sport. Lol. Bad, I know, but I’ll only flirt with people I know are available and not with anyone who is not. I’ve been told I’m charming, passionate, enchanting (ha), and all the rest. Not that it’s really helped with my love life, oddly (the rest of my natal chart reveals that though). I am very people-oriented, and I give of my time freely. My ultimate goal is to become a Marriage and Family Therapist, and I think this goes along with that. I really do want a job that I love. Also, I do pursue many hobbies such as astrology and writing, which I’m thinking about eventually parlaying into a career someday. For now though, it will stay on the side. I also enjoy artistic endeavors such as singing, dancing, and acting.

So… I decided to go look up the old mythological explanation of Eris on Wikipedia found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eris_%28mythology%29 because that helps me with the CONCEPTS of what Eris stands for more than the individual words do. From that, what I’ve decided is this: Eris essentially causes discord through playing devil’s advocate, thereby causing humans to fight over their beliefs. Her sister, Harmonia, does the opposite. She brings harmony back to the humans who are squabbling.

I am of the belief (and have always been of the belief) that in order to come to a true logical conclusion about things you have to look at both sides and you must debate and question both sides of an issue, ESPECIALLY when it comes to things like religion (I love spirituality but abhor organized religion for this reason), astrology, and even science. Debate is not necessarily a bad thing, in my opinion. Playing devil’s advocate comes naturally to me, and often I’d do it even if I didn’t believe in what I was fighting for, just to get myself and the other person to really THINK about what it is that they are upholding.

Oddly, because I was so into the metaphysical when I was young, I used to constantly get into debates with other kids at school about religion and sometimes even science. I’d also defend those who couldn’t be defended against intolerance (I clearly remember getting into debates about sexuality even though I wasn’t gay, I didn’t think it was right that the other kids would pick on someone for being gay, so I would debate with them).

As I’ve gotten older, I really am not so quick to pull the trigger on that kind of stuff, since I quickly realized that sometimes by trying to debate those kinds of things, it would just make someone dig in their heels even more about their beliefs instead of opening their eyes. However, it did work sometimes. Now I think it still manifests in an ability to play devil’s advocate in counseling sessions. However, instead of being completely insensitive to the other person’s beliefs, I work with them to turn their views around so that they might see a different, hopefully more beneficial, point of view that works for them.

I think I am so concerned about these things maybe because I do have the Sun aspecting Eris. Also, I think that Jupiter aspecting Eris gives me a considerably more positive outlook on it all. I’m more tolerant and instead of getting incredibly angry at the thoughts and feelings of others that I can’t change, I accept that it is where the individual person is at in their understanding of themselves and the world, and though I can help them to look at the other side of an issue, I can’t force them to change their views, nor would I want to.

What do you think Glaucius? Am I right on this? I don’t know much about Eris, so maybe you should add more to it.

Anyway, this has been interesting. I don’t think these particular aspects can replace the aspects of my natal chart, but certainly, they do add a new depth of understanding to what’s already there.

Positives all seem true.

The results of having this aspect seem partially true.

In some areas, the negatives are offset by other factors in my chart I think. Not that I absolutely can't be rash, but I don't think anyone would characterize my personality as rash in the full sense of the term. I do think before I act in most situations. I do jump to conclusions quickly. Mostly successfully. Occasionally not. Fortunately, no injuries or accidents yet, though I can certainly see where something like that might occur if I were pursuing some of the things I'm interested in (like electricity and inventing).
