Hello everyone
Just have a short question to ask!

I know squares indicate incompatibility in a relationship (synastry chart) but what if...

My Venus in Leo Square his Scorpio Venus
yet my venus is in 8th house natally (Scorpio)

Also My moon in Aqua and his in Taurus
yet my moon is in 2nd house (Taurus)

Would that help overcome incompatibility a little?

PS-
He is a Sag Sun
and I'm a Virgo Sun (9th house Sun though)
Our Suns form a sextile...
early sag and late virgo!

I don't know about the moons - that might be hard to get over, the temperaments are so different, stubborn and the moon is quite a major planet. Likewise with the suns. You are probably very fascinated with each other though and the sun-moon combos seem ok. However, free will and the rest of the factors in the chart may overcome any difficulties.

Venuses however might indicate something like a different love style (which could be possibly misread) as well as different interests/hobbies.

I actually think that sqares can be good for a synastry chart. It adds a little spice and excitment. If you only had good aspects, then the relationship could get very boring. And not all conjunctions are good I think it depends on the other persons chart. For instance, I have moon in aries, if someone else shared that aspect with me, I would feel uncomfortable. Two agressive moons dont mix well. Of course the astrology books all disagree with this, thats why I say it all depends on the other persons chart.

Venus in 8th and Venus in Scorpio have affinity with each other.

Moon in 2nd and Moon in Taurus have affinity with each other.

now for the actual aspect, the square

well....squares aren't necessarily bad as a little bit of friction, conflict will make things interesting

but

if the squares involve stressful planetary geometry like t-squares and grand crosses, they can be very challenging.

Yes you need a bit of square action for a bit of excitement, otherwise you end up only with a friendship

This is a subject that comes up all the time ~ is bad synastry the relationship's death knell?

My answer is no, not necessarily.

Squares are tensions, areas where you have to find a compromise. Not necessarily incompatibility. Along with all testing aspects they reflect the checks and balances in relationships. We all need them, as none of us are perfect.

Moon SQ Moon has been discussed on a thread, if I recall someone pointed out it was on their grandparents' chart and they were married for 50 years or so.

I think Venus in Leo and Venus in Scorpio can be highly explosive in Love if Sun and Moon have good Trine or Sextile aspects.

Little bit of friction especially in Venus can generate a lot of excitement.

===

I would say Square of Venus is much more easier than Square of Mars, Sun or Moon in Synnastry.

I like to think that squares indeed can add a spark or a bit of spice, if the synastry is okay otherwise.

Also, squares between personal planets may be easier to deal with than a square between Moon and Pluto or Saturn or Uranus for example.

Of course if one person has an Aquarius-Moon she or he might not be so shocked about a Uranus square to her Moon.

Squares in Synastry can be a tight relationship between two people specially the squares with Saturn and personal planets without this hard aspects squares/opposition/conjuctions there are not possibilities of a long term relationship between two people, even the positives aspects with Saturn dont work so much for a long term relationship.

GLAUCUS

May l ask what you mean please by

"moon in 2nd and moon in Taurus have an affinity"?

so like, my b/f has moon in 1st house and my moon is in Aries, AND my moon is in my 9th house and his moon is in Sagittarius (making a DW) does that mean the affinity is one of similar vibe?

confused...

Lara - I think what Glaucus was saying is that that the 2nd house is associated with the sign of Tau; so a Tau moon and a 2nd house moon would have that commoness about them.

So in your example, a 1st house moon and Aries moon would have this commoness; as will a 9th house moon and Sag moon.

Glaucus, correct me if I'm wrong.

well bee bee, it sounds like you found another fixed axis mate

my moon is in Taurus and venus in Scorpio and right now im dating a guy whos Sun squares them in Leo to an exact degree and his Venus is in Leo as well squared by his mars in Scorpio... there is not only affinity here, but a lot of compatibility.

we never fight, we have excellent understanding of each other. i dont notice his Leo traits getting to me _at all_.. also all his Leo planets are in the 2nd house so there's a connector right there

overall- squares are not bad, esp if you already have them yourself.

in my personal life, i find myself more attracted to "fixed axis" people than anyone else.. a stellium Aquarius, a stellium Leo, a guy with Asc in Scorpio and Pluto on the Asc and on the Scorpio moon.

also.. side note.. this doesnt really work for your placements, but i think midpts may have something to do with it here.. the midpt of my moon-venus opposition is leo/aqua and of course so many personal planets of the ones i love fall here.. so i believe that these individuals really help balance me and help me see beyond the see-saw effect and onto something different entirely.

good luck!
