I'm always curious about Sun signs that seem to be "mis-matched". Of course, I realize there is much more to people coming together than their Sun signs, Pisces/Sag couples are particularly interesting to me.
Pisces=generally dreamy & "otherworldly"---too universal to commit to one person
Sag=wants to know & experience everybody & everything---thinks if they make a commitment, they'll miss out on someone or something important
If you know a Pisces/Sag couple, I'd be interested in knowing what you've observed...

I know of a sag man, pisces woman couple who got married about 2 years ago - the only other aspects i can remember is that she has a virgo ascendant. It seems like she is more dominant in the relationship, however, he is much more laid back than she is. Overall thought I think they work great as a team - they had some struggles (i.e. him not standing up for her when his family would get involved in wedding plans) but they got through it and are very happy together now. That is the only example i have, i haven't met any other couples with this sun sign combination. It seems that if they work hard (like in any relationship, regardless of any astrological aspects) and really want their relationship to work - they absolutely do make it work

aquarius,
I agree it takes work...I guess it is a matter of deciding if it's worth it....

my parents are. and did NOT get along. to put it very mildly. yikes.

but i also see a lot of commonalities to the signs and think it could definitely work out. my parents were, of course, only one example and it was their choice/s to behave as they did..

I know an older couple, she is a Pisces, he is a sag and they seem to understand each other. He is laid back very quiet and collected. She is the dominant one in the relationship, very outgoing and strong personality.

I do know that they did fight for awhile because he was an alcoholic but when she packed her bags one day and was leaving he begged her to stay and he started to go to AA meetings and I think he hasn't drank alcohol for about 4 years now and they get along pretty well.

Not a particularly preferred book among my collection, Morris Goodman, author of "Astrology and Sexual Analysis", seems to have a strong belief in planetary rulerships as an indicator of relationship compatibility.

Sagittarius and Pisces, sharing Neptune and Jupiter as their respective planetary sub-rulers, is presumably Morris Goodman's logic for attributing Pisces and Sagittarius as each other's best match.

Quote, for Sagittarius: "The delineation given of the Sagittarius character leads to a single conclusion, that the best mate for Sagittarians is a person born under the Sign Pisces. Combining the traits of these two Signs, there evolves a lessening of the self-centered quality of the Sagittarian and a blooming of the selfless or unselfish Piscean. In a mutuality of interests, the Sagittarians can grow away from their exhibitionist tendencies, their secret interests or even vices, their flaunting of their unique natures. At the same time, the Pisceans can evolve, when married to this Sign, a wonderful spirituality and profound understanding of all living things besides the individual life of the mate."

Quote, for Pisces: "Growth is the secret to a successful love life and marriage as far as Pisceans are concerned. Since their natural development is slow, the best partner for them is the one who helps them to evolve. Pisces, greatest success in this department of life comes from mating with someone born under the Sign of the Archer, Sagittarius. The latter can be dazzled by the magnetism and charm, the ineffable appeal of the Piscean. The materialism of the Sagittarians is wonder-struck at the spirirtuality and otherworldliness of the Pisceans. In the game of sex, the Piscean seems to say, "Catch me if you can." And Sagittarius, the Archer, reaches for the quiver to draw an arrow, fit it into the bow, and aim for the target!"

So, anyway, I'm not sure if I agree with many of Morris Goodman's assessments. Some of his explanations have too much rhetoric and require a more concise elaboration. At first I thought this book might be good for beginners, however, I feel he makes some rather bombastic claims that may misguide an individual who is not sufficiently versed in astrology. Regardless, he is the only author I have in my collection who attributes Sagittarius and Pisces as each other's best match, so I figured I'd contribute this information to this thread.

keith richards (sag) has been married for 25 years to a pisces (patti hansen) - and they were together a few years before that! who knows for sure but they appear to have a very good relationship - they also have conjunct jupiters i think and her mars/venus complete a grand trine with his moon...as a t-square, he probably finds her sun (making it a grand cross) a really stabilizing influence, too... so sag and pisces, yes - but so much more!

I'm a Sag female, and all of the guys I've fallen for have a Pisces (or Neptune) influence. Most of the time, they've had a Pisces Asc. (I'm a Sco Asc.)

The first boy I officially went out with was a Pisces Sun (& Pisces Asc). That was back in 6th grade. We went out for 6 months, which has gotta be a decade in junior high years. Good memories of cocooning ourselves in his room most days after school, lying on his bed as it became night, kissing and listening to music.

I'm probably drawn to Pisces and get along with them easily b/c I have Pisces on the 5th, and Neptune is my most aspected planet.

heart cakes -
My parents too, and their relationship sounds like your parents'.

This is quite the coincidence. I remember our dads are both Pisces,Cancer Moon. You've said your mom is a Sag,Cap Moon. My Sag mom doesn't have a Cap Moon, but she does have a Cap Asc. She's an Aries Moon. Why don't you blow my mind and tell me your mom has an Aries Asc?

My dad has a Gem Asc. Yours?

My father was a Sag and mother Pisces. Terrible. Terrible. I don't know who it was worse for but I always sympathized with my father.

SEE!!!---I KNEW it was a match made in hell!
I wouldn't know who to side with...being a 12th house person, I am inclined to 'hang' on the Pisces side---but I know Pisceans aren't exactly victims....

also.. i don't know my dad's ascendant cuz he doesn't know his birthtime. my best guess is capricorn.

Yes I know quite a few!
They rile each other, but in a lighthearted way which keeps the relationship interesting. The ones I know make me laugh. Generally with the Pisces rolling his eyes at all the daft things the Sag comes out with

I think a lot of square relationships aren't given the credit they're due. Especially Mutable ones, where it seems to work best.

yeah generally i really like my squared cousins. i have a great friend who is almost all scorpio (seriously, except for three planets, and even they are part of the stellium!!), and though we've had a couple silent treatment periods in our friendship, he's one of my best friends. and i'm majority fixed signs as well.

I know a Pisces-Sag couple that has been happily married (they're still together!) for over 50 years. I know several Virgo-Sag couples that stayed together and one Gemini-Virgo couple that is together.

i dated a pisces once and that was easily the worst relationship i ever had. he was super romantic to the point he was delusional, and at the same time he treated me like garbage by letting other girls flirt with him and even cheated a couple of times, to make me jealous. but then i didn't get jealous and said hey get it straight do you want me or not, and he just freaked out!

we had our neptunes conjunct. but also my mars conjuncted his saturn! it was him who was acting as if he was free in the relationship, but actually he was so insecure because i was so free-spirited compared to himself. he was always fancying things when i was actually doing them. he did it all wrong.

For those who said the relationship isn't so great, can you elaborate? What ruined the relationships? As a Pisces, I'm curious to know

Yes, I know 2 Sag-Pisces couples.
One is me and my hubby and a the other one are friends of a friend.
This combo can be described as lots and lots of work.
We are from competely different planets and sometimes it takes a lot of effort to relate to each other.
But isn't that true for everybody?

Yin,It isn't necessarily true, but having to work hard to communicate doesn't mean the relationship is a bad match. I believe relationships are about personal and spiritual growth. That initial attraction is simply to "con" us in to doing the work!

I know the topic is couples, but I have a friend who has a Pisces sun and sagittarius moon and has major issues with commitment.
The grass is always greener scenario, always
looking for the "perfect" mate. Unfortunately for them, "Perfect" only exists in the imagination.

Hmmm,

How would Saggie sun relate to someone with venus in pisces?? Maybe the communication wouldnt be very good?? I have libra in venus and I normally love other people with venus in saggie or leo.

I'm not sure in the love department that air and water mix well?? But then this person also has saggie moon as well as psices venus.

I guess its all about balance in the charts.
