Taurus. My Dad's Taurean and he was famous for his temper which would build and build and build... I have Mars in Taurus and it is very scary. I have a total cow once a decade. Note to Self: Express anger as it, express anger as it happens. Repeat. IP: Logged |

Good point! Aries temper does subside to reason after the whole initial, quite interesting tantrum... I call it Fire and passion! And for that--for me, Aries make the best friends! I absolutely love the Aries! :-) I'm a Virgo!IP: Logged |

bluemoon, I agree with you about the Taurus type...I've been "snapped" before, & barely escaped with my life....& I STILL don't know what caused, but apparently, it had been building for quite some time...I accepted the apology, but I still find myself "tip toe-ing" around(just in case). I'm a Libra with Mars in Leo in my 5th house. ---I can go NUTZ with the best of them...but it takes a long time to build up---but once you've picked the last straw, IT'S ON.....after that, you'll be writing an environmental impact report!IP: Logged |

No vote.Look to the condition of Mars in the natal chart. All this sign business isn't nearly enough to dictate ones "temper"

I have mars, moon and venus in Aries and I have one of the worse tempers out of anybody that I know. I do get over things pretty quickly though. IP: Logged |

I have this same placement. It helps more to look at the condition of Mars aspect wise, though. IP: Logged |

I would have to say Taurus or Scorpio. I have never seen an Aries' temper as everyone here is describing. ------------------ Sun in Libra Asc. in Sagittarius Moon in Virgo Mercury in Libra Venus in Scorpio Mars in Leo Jupiter in Libra Saturn in Libra Uranus in Scorpio Pluto in Libra Stellium in the 10th ........ I feel so naked ;) IP: Logged |

interesting, alanabelle86.i think for me it has to do with family (2nd) and autonomy (aquarius). my aspects are an exact conjunction to mercury, and a close conjunction to my sun. i find i *think* about anger a lot and there was a lot of anger in my family, but i tend not to actually feel fully angry very often. i think mostly i get discouraged or hard on myself where i should feel angry. i also have some wide aspects (9 degrees each) to jupiter, pluto and my moon. Well, this thread isn't about a negatively aspected Mars. The point of this thread is to make generalizations about Sun signs. IP: Logged |

yes, i've always been confused about the generalizations vs. stereotyping thing if there weren't generally attributable behaviours to astrology, there would be no discussion.. would there? general shouldn't be, and isn't, blanket statements, though. IP: Logged |

I think we can keep the big picture in mind, and still look at how the individual pieces play their part. The pieces being the signs and aspects; the big picture being the chart as a whole, plus everything non-astrological that goes into forming an individual. Because any astrological discussion, unless it's a complete analysis of one chart, is going to be stereotyping and generalizing. Looking at Mars aspects is still stereotyping those specific aspects and excluding the rest of the chart. Nasty Mars aspects may be helped out by pretty Venus or Neptune aspects, for instance. Or pleasant Mars aspects can be hurt by nasty Pluto aspects to the other personal planets. I prefer looking at the condition of Mars over the Sun since Mars is more specific to this personality trait and its aspects are more specific to an individual, likely providing a more accurate description of a person's temper. But I do think that people of the same Sun sign have enough in common that talking about them as a group isn't meaningless. And hearing descriptions about a specific Sun sign that doesn't match up with individuals I know of that Sun sign just reminds that the whole chart is at play. Anyway. The worst-tempered person I know is my dad, and he's a Pisces with a Taurus Mars. His Mars is in his 12th house conj Saturn and Uranus. That stellium trines Neptune and sextiles his Moon. His Moon is conj Pluto and Pluto opposes Venus. His (Cancer) Moon is in his 3rd house of communication, and boy can he communicate his anger. He would go into rages that lasted hours. The 12th house stellium inluding Mars makes a lot of sense since his rage had its roots in his abusive childhood, but instead of dealing with the actual roots of his pain, he'd express it to people in his everyday environment as surrogates for the people he was really angry with. jane i think i need to see you're picture to make sure you're not actually me, or you know, since that would be improbable, my sister..(my dad's mars is in taurus too!) (conjunct my chiron i just realized. ahh..) (and my sun is conjunct his chiron! woah.) IP: Logged |

Well, Ed may be cooler but I think I'd like being Brad. Angelina Jolie is the only girl I'd switch teams for. No, my dad's a lot older than yours. So I guess that means we're actually not the same person. Wah, just when I was adapting to the idea of having 12 kids. IP: Logged |

"we can still dream, can't we..?"I don't know. Truth is, you kinda lost me when you said masturbation was out. Kal - You Aries can't fool me! I know so many of you and you're all such puppy dogs. Sure, every now and then they'll be an Alec Baldwin-like meltdown where you call people ungrateful pigs, but it doesn't last long and then you're back to your sweet, fun self. And the meltdowns, in retrospect, are often hilarious. IP: Logged |
