Topic: Do you feel like you are your progressed natal chart?

Not me. I don't feel like this is me AT ALL. I hold astrology in high regards but I don't see this progressed chart in myself, not even a tiny bit. What about you guys?  ------------------

Pretty much.Yeah. When my progressed Venus entered Gemini in mid-winter of '07, I began to see subtle but significant changes in a lot of things about me. I feel...lighter. I have a wider span of interests and a wider mental scope with which to enjoy those interests. I'm a better, faster, more thorough reader. I notice so many more details now than I used to. And my personal style feels like it's getting a "clean up." (No more rough-around-the-edges Taurus crap! Smooth and sleek, please!) IP: Logged |

I find that it's very accurate for how I'm feeling and my challenges I'm facing at the time, within my personality. For example, last year, when my Ascendant entered Scorpio, I had this urge to dye my hair black... with a reddish purple undertone. It's been that way ever since. I feel like it fits me soooo much!!! However, at the time, I had no awareness of the fact that my progressed ASC had entered Scorpio. This hair makes me look very Scorpionic. It makes my skin look really alabaster white. Before that, my hair was a really soft honey blonde and my skin looked more olive. Much more Libran, don't you think? Heheh. IP: Logged |

im a "libra now, with aquarius moon, and pisces rising"....I guess I could say "yes", but i look at transits first before progressed chart. a lot of transits im going thru are in my progressed chart so its hard to discern where its coming from, possibly both.IP: Logged |

In hindsight, the two major things that I definitely felt was when my asc changed from Aries to Tau when I was 19 and my Aqu sun has changed to Pisces four years ago. I noticed that I became more womanly with asc change and guys started taking notice of me. As for the change in sun, I hate it, I feel that I have lost my originality and turned into a putty brain (even though my merc hasn't changed signs). However, I've been told by my partner that I am better looking. I also felt it when I had my lunar return (in libra). I went out and bought all these clothes and was good looking there for a while. Since then, the prog sco moon made me more closed in and depressed and since it has been in sag, I have been much more carefree and unconcerned with life goals etc. Have travelled a lot more and have done a lot more exploring. Currently its conj with my n-venus. I suppose in a years' time my moon will be over my MC. Interesting to see if I will be more serious. IP: Logged |

23, yes!!! i can't believe I forgot about that! whoa!!!i didn't even know about progressions and i was asking myself, as if i was crazy like " why am i so ******* emotional all of a sudden?" i felt like i lost all my objectivity, i was all emo and affected by everything... Lo and behold, the change coincided pretty much exact with my pregressed Sun moving into Pisces. Putty brain, indeed! LOL!  IP: Logged |

haha.. yes. my progressed sun is in pisces too and i feel waaaay more pisces than i did when i was a kid. also, my progressed venus recently moved into aquarius and though my native moon is in taurus in the 4th, i just feel like neediness repels me right now, and i've been THINKING more about attraction, etc, since my venus moved into aquarius, exactly two years ago, not wanting to get into a relationship till i have this figured out. i'm also finding i'm more attracted to a LOT of people, though not ever FULLY. which is kinda frustrating since i am the settling down type.. but it's an interesting shift of perspective! my last two boyfriends had venus in aquarius and at least i "get" them better now.IP: Logged |

Yes, I do feel much more like my progressed chart. I can especially relate to my progressed Sun in Libra plus some other placements (e.g. progressed Chiron and Saturn in the 7th as opposed to my natal 8th).IP: Logged |

100% NO. In my progressed chart, I have several planets in Sag. Additionally, My Rising has changed to Leo. However, not a single placement makes sense. Thus far, I am exactly my natal chart. And it makes me not believe in progressed chart theory.IP: Logged |

Depends how you look at it. My progressed Sun is in Cancer. That's nothing like me at all ~ or maybe I'm in denial, lol. But I don't think I have become a Sun Cancer. How the planets progresses and interact with the natal chart does have some personal significance. For example, when the Sun moved to Square Uranus, I felt that, alright. By house as well, can be significant. If you think of a Sun Gemini like me moving through to Cancer, and from the natal cusp of the 8th into the 8th itself, then this long standing progression through the 8th house is going to be significant and the DK Foundation quote expresses this well: "If the Sun progresses into the 8th House a person enters a period of his life in which he is required to become aware of his emotional nature and let this enhanced understanding expand his perception of himself."

Putting this on another post as it's another point. On my natal chart Mars Squares Mercury at 8*13' which is wide of orb. Yet when reading about it, it is an aspect I've always strongly related to and felt there was a learning lesson in there. So I took significance out of progressed Mars which goes (went) retrograde around a month after my birth. It is moving slowly forward and is currently 1' away from exact to my natal point. It will go retrograde in 3 years. It won't move out of orb with my natal position for over 30 years. Mars is in my 3rd house, I'm a Sun Gemini, etc,. I do find it to be of personal significance. I'm with mblover on this one. I don't see me as a Cancer sun AT ALL. A Venus in Leo? Yeah right lol! Moon in Scorpio? Not hardly! Merc in Leo? Nah. I act very much like my natal chart to an extent. I cannot say whether I will feel this way in the future but for now, nope, I don't see it. Now i'm not negating the progressed theory, I just don't think it applies in my case. It may for other people, but not me. ------------------

Got Gemini,of course you ARE your natal chart, but I still think the progressed charts hold some significance.
Did you check what exact aspects your progressed chart make to your natal chart?
It will show you areas that will come to the centre of attention.
But of course you will express those in the way of your natal chart. Ex:
My progressed Mercury and Venus are currently conjunct my natal Moon, which means that lunar issues are in the centre of my attention, along with 8th house and 2nd house issues (my natal Moon rulers the 8th house and falls in the 2nd house). Since my Moon is basically unaspected, it was a great surprise actually. Suddenly I was faced with my needs and my perception of relationships.
Relationships have never been THAT much a subject for me like in the last year.
Maybe another factor for this is that progressed Mercury rules my natal 7th house and progressed Venus rules my natal 5th hosue, so it`s a strong emphasis on the area of relationship. Still, I`d say, I am still very much expressing my Venus in Capricorn (because that really IS me). To me, progressed planets just focus your attention onto certain areas of your personality, without changing the way you are.
You will be always like your natal chart. Everything else is just a slight addition to it. That`s my thoughts on this anyway. However, what is really interesting is PRogressed synastry. It`s astonishing how well this one works.  http://www.positiveastrology.com/ DD IP: Logged |

Yes, I agree and not only that, having read something on the "naive" post, I've noticed that I've had to let go and sacrifice so many things since I've become prog-pisces. I miss the tough aqu that I used to be. I feel so much more clingy now. Before, I was independent and strong, now I'm weak. I'm also starting to find scorpios more attractive......YIKES!!!! My natal ASC is in Gemini but moved to Cancer when I was 5 years old. My mom said that I was a really open and curious baby and then I became really shy and more moody when I started school (right around the time my ASC changed).My progressed sun is in Pisces. I have never really looked at my progressed chart before reading this thread.Hmmm.. Pluto is now conjunct my Sun... and Neptune is in my 12th house.
Maybe this explains the wierdness. And, my Mercury and Venus are now in Scorpio.
I am unsure how to interpret these things. Good thread!

When my progressed asendant entered scorpio i had really weird dreams and had fantasys of bondage lol (Never been into it before) Anyways but at the same time pluto was crossing my IC and trine my venus. It was really weird i felt very different and intensity with everything now its 3 degrees and i dont feel anything really. What i might have changed is that now im more secretive with my life. I was a very open person who always talked about EVERYTHING in my life now i learnt that i shouldnt tell everyone or talk about my life because some things should be kept secret and ive become more cautious------------------
