snowflakes, i would like to encourage u to share ur views on venus aspects in synastry as i have read that once u have strong venus ties, u dont settle for less as venus is adoring love.

Other affirmations i have read/heard/experienced are a bit explicit sexually so i hope they dont offend anybody or that i am not misunderstood as moderators might thing i go a bit too far...

1.- strong venus with uranus = oral sex
2.- venus & mars: hot sexual rships
3.- venus & moon: familiarity

I wonder if anyone has had an overwhelming venus-aspects experience and wants to add some more...

hmm, it may as well have other aspects involved, but i was with a guy and we had a venus trine mars and eros psyche exact conjunct, venus sextile uranus, and as for saturn mine was sextile his venus etc, and it was really the worst sex i'd ever had in my life... and naturally it lasted about a month and no more. we were not at all compatible, different interests, different experiences, different concepts in/of sexual intimacy altogether. in the beginning i enjoyed the difference but it could not have lasted longer. it was just way way way too different.

with my first boyfriend who i was with for 4 1/2 years, we don't have much exciting aspects that signifies sexual sparks, but as with saturn you said, we do have a saturn venus trine (very wide orb tho). so maybe that could be one thing we lasted rather long? we do have a loose mars venus opposition but we were more like friends than lovers.

BUT then, another person who i was with for a short time, if i just count the time when we both considered us to be "together", it only lasted about a month. however with him, i have my venus sextile his saturn and his saturn trine my venus. my eros is loosely conjunct his psyche, and my mars is quintile his venus. sex was really great, and we had a hard time breaking off because of that.

with another one, we have 2-way saturn trine venus. we were "together" for technically 2 years, but since it was a long-distance relationship the total amount we actually spent together was 8 months, and the second year we did not see each other at all and we broke up without meeting again. and he was cheating, so i can't say it was "long-lasting". my venus sextile his mars. sex was great for him but just ok for me.

and this one, we have a 2-way mars venus semi-square. lots of other squares and not much romantic aspects. my venus sextile his saturn, we had a short-time non-committed intimacy. sex was very experimental and exciting for both of us.

the others i don't know their birth data.

so, just looking at the aspects of the planets probably doesn't work so well...? from my own examples, it seems that when the aspects look great it was really bad, and when the aspects were so-so to bad, it seems to work better... they may have something to do with the house placements or contacts with other planets, i haven't looked yet.

looooooooooooooooooooooool

i am laughing my head off here.....

dunno it is just that i was reading this synastry book from this astrologer and from whom u just can tell she is SOOOOOOOOO experienced so she just put that venus -uranus contcts in synastry often include oral sex. So i made a little bit of a poll around my circle but wanted to constrat it with u lot...

As for other aspects with venus, i have read in other threads that moon conj venus is often found EXTREMELY sexy and satisfying. I think some of u mentioned a lot of rships and i agree that u cant really pinpoint......... what i DO FIND though is that some aspects that mislead u into thinking " COR, true love here" are often merely sexual chemistry, whereas others such as sun and jupiter point to more affinity such as same belief systems.

Very interesting indeed, but as venus is so often overlooked and taken for granted as the loving, beautiful-inducing kind, i thought u might incorporate some new insights...

Uauuuuuuuuuu! You bet! tell u what must be this pluto at work, u must be updating then to see how this plays out then... Wonder how uranus will play out here? as u said u believe it brings excitement and i believe u have a couple of those...

Was about to inquire about the leo, but better shut my mouth/keyboard... he still tickles ur fancy?

Still, venus MUST be a player when it comes to strong relating, that i am sure of...event though i find my venus in gem rather fickle and i tire quickly need a lot of mental stimulation...........

For me strong venus connections are absolutely vital to feel mesmerized by the other person. Lots and lots of venus interaspects make me absolutely adore the other person. There are numerous venus-conjunctions in the synastry chart with the man I absolutely adore and easily consider the most beautiful man i've ever laid eyes on. My venus conjuncts several of his planets and vice versa his venus conjuncts many of my planets (including my sun). We also have a venus opposite saturn double whammy.

I'm sure different people put different emphasis on venus in synastry depending on how sensitive they are to venus energy. My venus is in the 7th house and also rules my 5th house, so this might be the reason why I respond so much to venus interaction.

Last year I started a thread on venus in synastry because I always get confused whether it's the venus person that adores the planet person (e.g. the sun) or whether it's the other way around. I cant find the thread anymore, but I remember that my confusion was never really solved: some people argued that it's venus that is more attracted to the other person's planets. Others were convinced that venus seduces and hence it's the planet-person who is more attracted.

But I always read that the man's venus is definitely very important in determining what kind of woman he's (physically) attracted to.

lara u make me laugh... now u have where to choose! bet this doesnt pose problems for all ur aries planets, even though ur taurus bull might disagree... taurus are quite slow in reacting and mingling with people.... they rather watch and then decide.. this whammy u are telling about is rather the exception to me but this instant attraction is something that DOES EXIST and i have definitely also felt it... must muse some more and let u lot know...

annaf this thing u are telling is most interesting 4 me because someone with whom i also have numerous venus aspects and conjuncts is no robert redford yet i am absolutely gutted when i see him... feels like the sun suddenly came out of the clouds and i am on such a high.......

dont u find it funny how this venus aspects tend to play out? honest he is an average bloke, poor guy, must hate me now: just saying so because everybody calls me attractive (i am not humble,no,no,no) and all my friends when they saw him went: WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT? Yet yet yet, dont underestimate VENUS again, he is fiery arian but with VENUS asc in libra, GOSH, when he moves and acts i see so much grace and like they say when these libra men smile ur heart melts... blimey, i sound like an idiot, going all gooey over him now...

Has anyone ever had a relationship (or almost relationship) where the venus contacts were one sided? What was that like?

yes, i'Ve been in a relationship like that where the venus aspects were quite one-sided.My ex-boyfriends venus was heavily aspected by my planets and my ascendant. However, my vensu wasnt aspected at all by his planets. Before getting together we were close friends, so it was his personality that drew me to him. But I have to admit that physically/aesthetically he was never my type. There was sexual attraction because my mars was strongly aspected. However, I just really noticed the lack of aspects to my venus. A glow, romance, I dont know, something was just missing. As venus describes so much what we really find beautiful, people that trigger our venus often feel like a treasure. In retrospect I also think that the lack of vensu aspects from my side translated as a lack of love for him.

Hi Winky-Winky,

I don't understand why you say that Venus is the most overlooked planet in Synastry when it is usually the 1st planet we're taught to think of in Synastry. When I think Synastry, the first think I think of is Venus.

I just had to ask, it just struck me as strange, especially since Synastry is the most popular subject in astrology.

yes geo might be right so i should say maybe the most one taken for granted in that it has so much other dimensions than we can think of... like look what so many people had to say... it translates differently from person to person... well obvious i would say...

It is just that so many people go berserk looking for explanations concerning pluto, saturn and the lot when venus is the most obvious attraction yet depending on so many factors as i posted first it can have so many meanings............

Annaf, what u reckon? His most aspected planet is pluto in synastry, planet of transformation so i had the sensation the physical contact was very intense for him, somehow blinding, whereas i would be more taken with just the plain "relating" aspects... like doing him small favors,etc... but his moon and his mars are also heavily aspected by my planets.

lara u tell me how u cope woman like aries people are supposed to have their sweetie present at all times otherwise they forget and they need constant stimulation, surely u miss them like crazy?
