I have decided to add what I consider a great car ad. This is the ad that was played recently in Australia for the new Holden ute. This car is in my opinion a bit of a redneck car/label (my ideal car is any model of Aston Martin) but I think the commercial was incredible and it really got me excited about something that I normally wouldn't even look at twice. I think the morphing/high colour is brilliant and shows the continuity/permanence/trustworthiness of the model to the Australian life. Its short, punchy and high energy - can do energy about it. I think those in the market for a vehicle like this might get swayed (including me), read the comments on the page!

So I would like your opinions on the commercial. I suspect this would appeal to the more firey types or mutables out there. Of course, I can understand that many might not like it as well as the music might be seen as too aggressive etc.

i'm very firey and l don't think this ad has any style at all!

not sure why you didn't just post it on the other thread to be honest. Does it need a thread of it's own?

In my opinion, there are 100s of commercials with aggressive music and kewl visuals. For me, this commercial didn't present anything new. It didn't touch any Water parts of my chart nor did it touch my Jupiter in Leo in 2nd. I didn't find anything that would make me buy or feel proud about owning this car or brand. I didn't find any inspiration. Obviously, I didn't like it. I don't think it will ignite any passion with Water folks, and may be Earth. But, you knew that answer upfront. Making a decision to buy this car from this commercial is impossible for me.

I am presenting my views to help understand the astrological influences on Commercial. I am not taking any sides because I started the Porsche thread.

Well its a bogan Aussie car for a bogan Aussie market. I think the style suits the car but you are right, its ugg stuff (the car). I think cultural/class variations again plays a major part in perception of these things.

This is an ad for another car, its not a thread to debate a moderator's actions. However:

1. You asked for an opinion on your thread and BM presented hers. Hers agrees with mine based on what she wrote, Is it her fault? She supplied her reasoning and is entitled to it.
2. You incessantly picked on me and harrassed me and I had every right to defend myself. Others on that thread expressed similar views to me with similar reasoning, yet I get called "ignorant", "rebellius" [sic] etc. You *singled* me out continuously, was mean to me and yet, did not do it to others. I can't help that you have a vendetta against aquarians and non-Americans and in particular, Non-American Aquarians.
3. I never mentioned an insult or put-down to scorpios in my responses, but wanted to leave it out, out of civility and acceptable differences in people. Ok, it didn't. Fair enough. I personally wouldn't buy a car on the basis of a commercial, but for me, the commercial left a positive impression/memory in my mind, it would make me remember it and maybe provide some sway that way.

I don't like the sexuality of these commercials. I'm sick to death of seeing sex everywhere and its use to sell; its not witty or humurous or stylish. The dog commercial has a cute ending though.
