I really know nothing about horary but I'd think that would be the ruler of the ascendant in an horary chart IP: Logged |

The ruler of the hour is determined by what day it is.ie- Monday is 'moon' day so each approximate hour from dawn on monday is the next planetary hour, going by planets in their usual order. Programs like astrowin list the plnetary hours, as does the free daily hororscope on astro.com (only on thursday unless you pay fo their extended daily forecast). The relationship between the planetary hour and the asc sign ruler (if they're compatible- NOT in aspect) say whether the chart is radical or not, meaning whether its readable. A non-radical chart is still able to be read, but the outcome is usually unpredictable. IP: Logged |

In my experience, the ruler of the hour is not as important as other strictures against judgment (early or late AC, VOC moon).IP: Logged |
