Just curious as to you guys experiences with someone's sun falling in your 7th house. How was/is the experience, great, good, bad, or ugly?

I especially want to know of your experience if the sign on your 7th house is in a "bad" aspect to the rest of your chart.

i have this placement but in the opposite way with my sun in his 7th and his moon in my 7th..... must be overrated because i am supposed to be his ideal yet... he broke up with me after a few months...

Then again u do have to compare it with the rest of the chart i suppose, i think the most telling aspect is the asc on 7th...

the sign on my seventh house is gem and it is not particularly badly aspected, mercury resides in my 4th house...

My dad. He has about 6 planets in my 7th, on his chart they fall in the 2nd house.

He's a great chap, no complaints.

I think in a sexual relationship its overrated to be honest.

I prefer 5th house for sun/moon/venus etc

Anyone else agree?

probably u are right lara because 7th is an air house and it is mostly connected to what we THINk is right for us, whereas the 5th is more direct, fun and love-related...

This person i mentioned before has his sun on my 5th and i am .....hmmmmmmmmmm... melting when i think of him is an understatement......SIGH.......love.......

It is and it isn't. The 7th house is not really about passion or anything, its about partnership. I know of two people who have their sun in my 7th (a relative and friend, one even squaring my sun!) and one with moon in my 7th (another relative) and I long to be with them. There's no chemistry but I just want to be with them, to be compulsively partnered off.

The chemistry bit is definitely the 5th. Nothing like mars or venus in the 5th, where it can be sexual or a lot of fun (I have many friends who have things in my 5th). Oh and lets not forget the 8th/1st for more chemistry....

Hey GG,

I had my ex's Sun and Venus in my 7th conjunct my Venus. I don't think it has to do with intensity or depth of feeling, but maybe it's more about those energies creating marriage opportunity and what not. Not all that impressive in my book!

Hey GG,
I had this guy's sun, jupiter, mercury and uranus in my 7th house conjuncting my pluto, uranus, juno. He broke up with me. Carol Willis says that the sun in the 7th house burns down the 7th house person, the sun person walks away unscathed. I guess she is right.

Hi GG,
The irony of it is that my venus, mercury,mc and jupiter fall in his 7th house and my moon in his 8th. His sun is in his 5th house, so we have a 5th 7th house conjunction. The ruler of my 7th house is in his 7th house and the ruler of his 7th house is in mine.
All said, he hurt me, scorched earth policy and he is not even affected. there is no justice in this world.:-)

The 7th house is a preferred house for me in synastry. For love relationships and friendships. Many of the people I'm closest to have something that falls in that house--Sun, Moon, Asc, and Mercury are the most common.

I have Chiron conjunct the Dsc, trine Venus in Cap and Mars & Jupiter in Virgo. Often their Sun (etc.) conjuncts Chiron and forms a grand trine with those planets. So I guess I have the opposite of what you're seeking, since my 7th house sign forms some easy aspects to significant planets for love relationships.

More often than not, if I'm very sexually attracted to someone, he has something in my 7th house. This did puzzle me since the 7th is about partnerships, not necessarily sex, yet it's the most lusty house for me, more than the 5th or 8th. I'm still trying to figure out why.

I think it may be bc I have Venus quindecile Juno. The quindecile is described as an "obsessive" aspect, so my love nature (Venus) is obsessed with sexual partnerships (Juno). So 5th house alone doesn't satisfy that, I need the partner-oriented 7th house. I think, though, that the potential conj with Chiron and grand trine with Venus, Mars, and Jupiter is probably the main reason for the attraction.

none of my relationships had anything in my 7th except NN or IC or something.

I prefer venus/sun in 5th or 8th as winky says.

I have Uranus ruling my 7th house natally and l think major inner planets in my 7th just suffocate me LOL

that honestly depends on other factors. for example, the only person i've ever been convinced as my soul mate of some sort has her sun, pluto, mars and venus in her 5th house. in my chart, her fifth house falls directly over my 7th where my own pluto and mars happen to fall.

my sun and mercury are in my tenth house but fall into her 7th when our charts are compared.

here's the syn chart. there feels like a lot of past life history between us and no matter what we do, we ultimately end up around each other.

Hi bellemahleur,
I have a chart with a few similar planetary arrangements, but the people whose chart it is are not together. Having Sun in the 7th house seems to be a bad thing, at least from these charts. http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj24/richcal03/kbr.gif
That is just my experience.

the chart you posted only has one sun falling into the seventh house. and the suns are signs right next to each other(although, just barely which probably helped with the initial attraction), which for me shows signs that dont generally come together without more conflict. the focuses of the two people seem off as well, it looks like there's a hard time relating to each other, which is probably where the most attention needs to be paid in the relationship, making sure you're on the same page.

in mine, there is something significant about both suns doing it. and also the suns have a sign between them, it's something i've noticed in compatibility. the least troublesome relationships generally are when the suns have a sign between, of course there is other stuff that alters that importance.

Probably. Everyone I've pretty much despised had something significant in my 7th house.

The sign on my 7th, Pisces, is in bad aspect to the rest of my chart except for trining my Venus. I have experience with someone's sun in my 7th and let me just say that funnyface hit the nail on the head. ....never again.

Its crazy because I know someone else who has Pisces on the 7th and they ended up with a Pisces as well and it has been dismal for that person. And Pisces is in bad aspect to their chart too except for trining their Venus.

Dulce: that makes sense since the 7th house also represents open enemies.

It sounds as if you and he may have a Virgo/Pisces polarity going, if his Sun falls in your 7th opposite your Virgo Ascendant. This pairing can be particularly good,I read somewhere.

However, I was interested that another reply above says that the Sun person, generally, can burn out the other person and walk away unscathed. This can certainly be true. And specifically, Pisces is a slippery one.

Hi bellemalheur,
Can you please explain in more detail when you say-"the focuses of the two people seem off as well"
It is strange that you say these people have difficulty relating to each other considering that Mercury of both the chart are beautifully aligned. Communication has never been a strong point for the Libra person( and he is a guy):-).
Venus in the 7th house is also meant to mean something. The rulers of the 7th house are in the partner's 7th house as well.
I have also seen that the 7th house person is left hurting a lot, lot more than the sun person.
Like GG says, sun in 7th house- more bad than good.

I forgot to add, the 1 house apart theory may not be all together accurate. My parents are Scorpio/Saggi, they have been happily married for 38 years.
My dad's sun/moon( he was born on a new moon day) are in my mom's 5th house and her sun, jupiter and mercury are in his 5th house. I think sun in the 5th house makes for a long lasting relationship than sun in the 7th house.

I think, Got Gemini has mentioned something VERY important.

It doesn`t suffice to have partner-planets in your 7th, 5th or even 8th house; it always depends on how they interact with the rest of your planets.
Which to me means that for some people, partner-planets in 11th house maybe even be more attractive than in the 7th house.

In my case my DSC falls in Gemini; so planets in my 7th house could possibly oppose my Sun, Mercury, Mars, Neptune and NN (Sagittarius), trine my Moon (Aquarius) and Pluto (Libra) and square my Jupiter (Pisces).

So I think I might get along better with someone, who has planets in Gemini than other people - like those who have a dominance on Pisces or Virgo.

Funny Face,
I also like 5th house action, maybe because it seems more romantic and "in love", than the 7t house.
I always felt attracted to men with some planets, especially Moon or Venus, in Taurus, which falls in my 5th house.
And Taurus-placements at the beginning of it would actually trine my Venus, who can very well need some support.

Interesting thread, GG.

What Funnyface said held true in my case. I actually felt like my persona was "dying" in this relationship. And what GG and DD mentioned is also correct. My Venus in the 7th is part of a T Square with my Jupiter and Mars. So my ex's Sun and Venus activating all of that wasn't a pleasant experience. (I also have Libra rising, so it's my chart ruler.)

However, I tend to have wonderful relationships with folks who square my natal moon. But my moon squares Pluto and is also in my 8th house...so maybe it WANTS that kind of transforming energy and is attracted to it.
