What is love? How would you recognise it if it came out of the blue?

Who, or what, are you? That is, what is I?

Where are you going? More importantly, what are you doing now to get there?

Do you understand that Nothing Matters?

Do you understand what it means to Have No Tongue?

Do you realise that Life Drains Your Forces?

How well do you Mind Your Own Business?

What would you say in defence of humanity to an overwhelmingly powerful and intellectually superior alien race that wanted to enslave us as we do animals?

Can you grok that Time and ultimately death is the end product of Eternal beings experiencing meaning through sequence? That these things too will end and time will cease when there is no more meaning in death?

Do you know the true meaning of being Beautiful?

Are you truly free?

Do you make the time for pondering these questions and others, or do you think they are a distraction? Are you willing to find your own answers to these questions, even if it leads you away from everything you thought you knew, and everything others say is true?

From such a person the stars keep no mysteries, and no secrets can remain hidden.

Look up from your charts

and look inside your hearts.

You just know.

It just is.

Doesn't really matter given:

yes.

*silence*

Well I feel knackered quite a lot if that helps any. Or is it age?

I like to know what is going on.

Bite and you'll get bitten.

Grok is either a typo or a word I don't understand.

Two men have called me that in my lifetime. But I own a mirror.

No.

Distraction from what?

Linda loved words like me, and she really loved this one:

To grok is to share the same reality or line of thinking with another physical or conceptual entity. In Heinlein's view of quantum theory, grokking is the intermingling of intelligence that necessarily affects both the observer and the observed.

As first used in the Heinlein novel Stranger in a Strange Land:

"Grok means to understand so thoroughly that the observer becomes a part of the observed — to merge, blend, intermarry, lose identity in group experience. It means almost everything that we mean by religion, philosophy, and science — and it means as little to us (because of our Earthly assumptions) as color means to a blind man."

The Oxford English Dictionary defines grok as "to understand intuitively or by empathy; to establish rapport with" and "to empathize or communicate sympathetically (with); also, to experience enjoyment." Other forms of the word include "groks" (present third person singular), "grokked" (past participle) and "grokking" (present participle).

YES we are truly free.

YES love can come our way WHEN we have gone love's way within ourselves.

YES we can recognize love if we love ourselves. We recognize in others the extent to which we allow ourselves, no?

I am pure love in thought, mind, body, heart, spirit. This is what l attract by default.

I am going back to zero.

YES we are all nothing and nothing before and beyond today matters.

Life does not drain my forces - life makes me stronger, wiser and full of energy for today.

Always mind my own business unless it's appropriate to take a step forward for the greater good of another.

BEAUTIFUL - yes. I know the true meaning. Why do you ask?

YES l ponder, question, ask and re-route my thoughts and decisions, life morals etc where necessary.

What do you do?

Never heard of it before.

The animal question reminded me that Miss Puss Cat might want to come back in. She did. She's not a slave, she's a free cat.

"What is love? How would you recognise it if it came out of the blue?"
When you are able to tolerate someone's crap and inadequacies. Yes, I think I could, its the instant recognition of knowing that you could tolerate someone's crap and inadequacies.

"Who, or what, are you? That is, what is I?"
God knows, I define myself by others.

"Where are you going? More importantly, what are you doing now to get there?"
I don't know where I'm going but I can tell you because my MC is in cap and my saturn is can, 29deg rx, its gonna be darn hard.

"Do you understand that Nothing Matters?"
Yeah of course, in the long run it doesn't. We upset ourselves at the time and then it becomes nothing but a memory. The afterlife , I'm waiting for that.

"Do you understand what it means to Have No Tongue?"
I could give a very political response here but I won't

"Do you realise that Life Drains Your Forces?"
Yes, see the journey answer above.

How well do you Mind Your Own Business?
I like to give the impression that I mind my own business but I love to snoop (all those air placements) and find out information people

"What would you say in defence of humanity to an overwhelmingly powerful and intellectually superior alien race that wanted to enslave us as we do animals?"
Welcome! : "instant karma's gonna get you - gonna hit you right in the eye". Humans are evil because they have animal drives with a so-called superior intellects.

"Can you grok that Time and ultimately death is the end product of Eternal beings experiencing meaning through sequence? That these things too will end and time will cease when there is no more meaning in death?"
Death has meaning. I don't know what "grok" means (??)

"Do you know the true meaning of being Beautiful?"
Being a libran ac (possibly with some good nep aspects)

"Are you truly free?"
You're asking *me*, an Aqu with ura square. What do you think I would say?

"Do you make the time for pondering these questions and others, or do you think they are a distraction? Are you willing to find your own answers to these questions, even if it leads you away from everything you thought you knew, and everything others say is true?"
Of course I think about these things, didn't I just do that? I have no fear of things that I think that may disagree with me.

*Love is synonomous with existence itself, I always believed that but Linda reminded me of it , they are one in the same to me. You would not have to recognize it, you would only need to accept it.

*I am a creation of God, an extension of his love. Just to say that makes my heart melt.

*As with most things worth knowing that is a mystery that I learn more about everyday.

*Yes I do

*Lol. I have most recently come to understand this one

*I barely have enough time to mind my business. The more I "mind" it, the more complicated it gets! lol

*That they can enslave our physical bodies but they will never be able to enslave our love nor our light

*Yes I can grok that. "No more meaning in death" Won't that be an awesome time.

*Everyday my closest soulmates remind me of that meaning.

*Not yet but everyday I loosen a new chain

*I will go where ever the answers take me, everything I "knew" changes with every new thing I learn. Some of the "answers" are tough, but I am learning to roll with the punches.

But I thought the chart had all the answers?
That sucks! lol

just jokin

"Mind Your Own Business" reminds me of this-
If you are not familiar with Burroughs, it does contain references to drug use and homosexuality so if you are offended by casual reference to these things you might want to skip this post.
Exerpt From:
My Own Business

By William S. Burroughs

Brion Gysin, Stewart Gordon, and I were sitting in front of a little Spanish cafe in Tangier when this middle-aged Spaniard walked by, and we all gasped: 'My God, that's a harmless-looking person!' I'd noticed him around town, and spotted him as a real M.O.B.ist: which is nothing special, just minds his own business of staying alive and thinks that what other people do is other people's business.

The old hop-smoking rod-riding underworld has a name for it: 'a member of the Johnson family.' Wouldn't rush to the law if he smelled hop in the hall, doesn't care what fags in the back room are doing, stands by his word. Good man to do business with. They are found in all walks of life. The cop who slipped me a joint in a New Orleans jail, for instance. Or when I was pushing junk in New York back in 1948, the hotel clerk who stopped me in the lobby: 'I don't know how to say this, but there is something wrong about the people who come to your room.' (Something wrong is putting it softly; ratty junkies with no socks, dressed in three boosted suits puffing out, carrying radios torn from the living car, trailing wires like entrails. 'This isn't a hock shop!' I scream. 'Get this **** out of here!' Regaining my composure I say severely, 'You are lowering the entire tone of my establishment.) 'So I just wanted to warn you to be careful and tell those people to watch what they way over the phone ... if someone else had been at the switchboard ...'

And a hotel clerk in Tunis; I handed him some money to put in the safe. He put the money away and looked at me: 'You do not need a receipt Monsieur.' I looked at him and saw that he was a Johnson, and knew that I didn't need a receipt.

Yes, this world would be a pretty easy and pleasant place to live in if everybody could just mind his own business and let others do the same. But a wise old black faggot said to me years ago: 'Some people are ***** , darling.' I was never able to forget it.

Mexican druggist throwing a script back at me: 'We do not serve dope fiends.' It's like Mr. Anslinger said: 'The laws must express society's disapproval of the addict.'

Most of the trouble in this world has been caused by folks who can't mind their own business, because they have no business of their own to mind, any more than a smallpox virus has ...

What is love? How would you recognise it if it came out of the blue?
Who, or what, are you? That is, what is I?

*I, to me, thus far, seems to be a filter for experience and re-connection.

Where are you going? More importantly, what are you doing now to get there?

*I am trying to heal, which is painful work. To do that I try to be very honest with myself with is also painful, but worthwhile. There are many layers of observation that disguise and distract.

Do you understand that Nothing Matters?

*Since this is true, EVERYTHING matters. Every cell, every feather every sigh and every whisper has supreme weight.

Do you understand what it means to Have No Tongue?

*I'm not familiar with the phrase in vernacular, but I have my own definition that causes me to analyze what/when I choose to support, repeat and believe. What I can see sometimes is through the words because there are many ways to talk. Doing this to myself can equate to torture, but it is good work.

Do you realise that Life Drains Your Forces?

* And it replenishes them. Life=Force. One cannot exist without the other, to me.

How well do you Mind Your Own Business?

*I'm a step-child of the Johnson family.

What would you say in defence of humanity to an overwhelmingly powerful and intellectually superior alien race that wanted to enslave us as we do animals?

*That some of us wanted better, those who didn't ,didn't know any better. Hoping that some aliens would be kind just as some are kind to animals. That pain makes pain.

Can you grok that Time and ultimately death is the end product of Eternal beings experiencing meaning through sequence? That these things too will end and time will cease when there is no more meaning in death?

* Sharing and applying knowledge and viewpoint seem to be a wonderful thing.

Do you know the true meaning of being Beautiful?

*Beautiful may be that thing that is more concentrated, more real than real could ever be.

Are you truly free?

*We all may be truly free and may only be limited only by self imposition.

Do you make the time for pondering these questions and others, or do you think they are a distraction? Are you willing to find your own answers to these questions, even if it leads you away from everything you thought you knew, and everything others say is true?

*Yes, indeed.
From such a person the stars keep no mysteries, and no secrets can remain hidden.

Look up from your charts

and look inside your hearts.

thanks to all for your thoughtful, amusing, interesting replies. Especially enjoyed the excerpt rainbowbody23.

A couple of thoughts:

Love is the giving of the Creator. You can only recognise something outside of you that you already know and are within, else how could you know it for what it is and recognise it when it comes? Hence, judgment is always made against the self (Have No Tongue, MYOB, etc).

I am the Creation experiencing itself, Eternity gazing into a mirror.

LDYF can be a difficult lesson to grasp, as many have a negative reaction to it at first. We dont like to think of life this way. But look out your windows for the first elderly person to walk by. Then wait for a child. Tell me its not true then. The point is, to safeguard and conserve your precious energy. To always replenish and circulate it from the vertical axis and not draw it from others along the horizontal. To be discerning about how and with whom you share your precious energy. All is energy. Think it over.

The ETs - "Would you like a cup of tea?"
The true meaning of being Beautiful - to know yourself and to shine out that unique brilliance in all that you do.

I am truly free of the desire to be freed. It took me a trip and a half to return here though.

at least this is part of where im grokking right now

GROK?

i love the meaning and spirit of the word but i don't like the word per se.

usually the sound of a word evokes what it means. words with harsh sounds evoke concepts with negative or unpleasant meanings (grunt, pervert, antagonize, barbaric, fugitive, uncouth, gargle). words with pleasant sounds evoke pleasant or beautiful or harmonious things (peace, love, serenity, solitude, giggle, cheerful). i'm sure you get my point.

it has something to do with vibrations of sounds. (i hate it when i know something and feel it's true but cannot explain it or cannot cite anything to support my statement. LOL)

GROK? i don't know why but i associate it more with *gwark* (the sound you make when you puke). LOL. i think i am off-topic.

GROK

ah ok i researched it and found out that it's some sort of Martian word from a sci-fi novel. Martians? that explains it!

"the word is Martian and literally means "to drink" but metaphorically means "to take it all in," to understand fully, or to "be at one with."

my venus Libra is somehow appeased.

i can now associate it with the sound a Martian makes when it drinks something... grok grok grok... (laced with pebbles?)

Grok is one of those marvels of an ever mutating river of language - it was a literary invention at first, achieved cult usage, and is now enshrined in the OED as a 'proper' English word.
I do understand what you are saying about the inner sound of words. But to my inner ear Grok sounds like a more complete kind of 'getting', a hard sound that implies something really sticking to the brainpan.
