Hi all,
I am a bit confused about the way the houses are numbered. My sun falls in libra which according to astro.com is my 5th house. However, when I read horoscopes they chart all the planets as if my libra house is my 1st house. My Asc is in Gemini, so that my first house or is libra my first house?
Pl. advice.

there are different house systems. also check if u wrote the correct time zone.

I think the "horoscopes" you are referring to simply don't take into account your ascendant. If your ascendant is in Gemini, then your first house is there too.

Many generalized horoscope predictions by Sun sign put the Sun on the Ascendant (no matter where it's actually located by house in your personal natal chart). You should read your Ascendant sign *first* then read your Sun sign.....

Thanks a lot. It is sometimes amazing that the horoscopes are dead on target and things seem to happen like they say even though they are using my sun sign for predicting. Penny Thornton's prediction for 2003 were very accurate but nothing in her horoscopes match now. Most people do identify with their sun signs, hence my confusion.
