Topic: Synastry:Venus to Mars: "Bad" Aspects only point to Attraction?What about "Good"?

Keep hearing some aspects like Aspects Moon &Venus. Conjn,trn,sxtl
Aspects Venus & Mars. Conjunción, Opp,Sq
Aspects entre Venus y Plutón. Conj, Opp
Aspects entre Marte y Plutón. Conj,opp,sq only are the ones that truly point to "sparks", but surely venus trine mars is better...have u got any experiences?

I dont think ONLY the hard aspects point to attraction.... its just that the attraction is more immediate and more intense... more in your face, lots of sexual chemistry and sparks. With the trines and sextiles, there is still attraction, but it isn't as urgent... its easier and more complimentary.IP: Logged |

I have Venus trine my moon and Jupiter and sextile Mars and Neptune. It has done absolutely nothing good for me at all...so I really don't think that it helps.IP: Logged |

Hmmmmm I had a double whammy trine with my ex-fiance back in 1991. He had Venus in Virgo trine my Mars in Capricorn and His mars in Scorpio trined my Venus in Pisces. I don't recall it being a relationship filled with harmony etc. It was a highly abusive relationship that took the woman out of me and scarred me up inside for the longest time. Then I was a young "kid" at the time.ID

Mars/Pluto opps and squares are supposed to be GOOD? First I've heard of it.Trines are excellent for chemistry, squares are dynamic but with the associated problems. IP: Logged |

no no no, i meant these aspects point to "initial attraction" as in the in-your face, sexual, urgent, what-hit-me kind of thing........then the hammer falls and there u are, mars & venus sq pluto is SEXY, yet u know what comes with it (obsession,etc...) so i was wondering if u DO happen to have the blessing of the trines in venus and mars, i was wondering how this plays out as in attraction but surely less intense? yet is the attraction also nice and leading to "sparks"? honestly, I dont think the trines and sextiles initially draw people together... they aren't strong enough. but they are pleasant and nice, and its a nice attraction. more like "hey, he's cute". not "omg, I wanna rip his clothes off" lol. I think its once you are in the relationship, that you have sexual compatibility.atleast this is my opinion. trines and sextiles have never done anything intense and electric for me right off the bat. look for other aspects. well obviously that doesn't have anything to do with the venus trine mars aspects. I would look more to the individual charts... abusive relationships have more to do with the individuals, NOT with they syanstry they have. this guy obviously has issues that have nothing to do with you. IP: Logged |

Clockworkrose,which aspects would indicate that "I want to rip off your clothes NOW"-feeling in your opinion? I agree on the trines and even more so on sextiles. They are too flowing and harmonious to give that instant spark, even though, once you are in a relationship they add very much compatibility. DD IP: Logged |

well, IMO alot of what winky_winky listed above. Conjunctions, squares, and oppositions between Venus-Uranus, Venus-Pluto, and Venus-Mars. Especially if they are double-whammys! Also, someone's venus or mars in your 5th or 8th house. edit: oh, also Moon-Mars hard aspects can also elicit strong sexual attraction.IP: Logged |

I feel that both the easy and hard aspect can be good for attraction.I would be nervous about hard Venus-Pluto aspects because of the fatal attraction potential. I don't care for hard Venus-Mars aspects because they can be too passionate and focus too much on sex and not love. I want a relationship that is full of affection,devotion,love,and consideration.....not just sex,passion. the main thing is that you have look at the overall chart. ------------------

I had a double whammy Venus conjunct mars (both charts)with an ex of mine. There was chemistry, only his Saturn on my Venus cooled things off to an amazing degree.

Well I've noticed of course that mars-venus is an your face attraction. And mars-venus trine is a "he's cute" attraction as has been mentioned.Otherwise, for myself, I respond very well to uranus sex/trine to my venus. And mars in 5th is just awesome (this is compulsory), venus in 5th is more of a romantic pleasure. I've also seen what mars in 1st and 8th can do - pure sexual attraction v obsessive black attraction. Also most plutonic is hardcore too. I've also had someone touch my eros with their psyche - boom! But really, squares/opps are good for one night stands. As Glaucus says, they arent the most functional for a relationship. And a bit of NN action for some fated feelings with this is good. BvanzyThe Mars-Pluto aspects were no existant. His Pluto is in Virgo but the orb was way out of reach. However my last Fiance from 2003-2004
his Mars in Gemni squared my Pluto in Virgo
His Pluto in Virgo oppsed my venus in Pisces, Square to my conj in Saggy. Rising signs trined each other. Sun signs trined each other, even the moon signs - it turned out to be a highly abusive relationship where I had to get away from him before he did something awful. ID IP: Logged |

ID - April 3, 1971 Calgary, Ab 9 Am WINKY.... as clock has stated and this must be really considered in chart synastry is that both charts must be looked at....The general interps for trine and sextile aspects are too mickey mouse for me - one would think it is all good however other factors must be brought into the equation.
