Maybe a lot depends on the ascendants? With their birth times things would probably make more sense... Anyways, I'm still a newbie at this, but I noticed, in the first chart, a Sun opposition Venus/Jupiter aspect, which I believe should be a pleasing one to have. Sun opposition Pluto/Saturn is also probably a strong combination and may contribute to bind the two people together. As for the second chart, Saturn opposition Moon/Sun seems quite a strong tie to me. Also, the woman's Moon/Jupiter conjunction is, although a bit widely, conjunct the man's Moon/Sun conjunction, their Venuses are opposite and the woman's Sun trines the man's Sun/Moon conjunction. Looks very nice to me!I didn't know that Saturn square Mars was considered a doom aspect... I have it with my husband as well, and we've been together for 16 years... IP: Logged |

A good example how difficult aspects is not fatal to a relationship. I think the saturn-mars stuff is fascinating. I suppose both pairs have got maturity enough to get through this stuff. And yes, saturn-mars square (or anything else) is notorious. I have this with a work colleague, I was the mars, she was the saturn. On top of that, her mars was opp my making a lovely t-square with her saturn at the apex. It felt like a chafing heat rash in the groin area. I better censor myself and move on now.... IP: Logged |

It looks like your mother has a natal Mars Trine Neptune aspect and your StepDad's Sun brings that into a Grand Trine. Maybe even a Kite with her natal Saturn CNJ Pluto? That would be even more powerful. ------------------------------------
The Aspect of Doom comment comes after a thread where Lara says she has Mars CNJ Saturn in her synastry and that it has been give a bad rap. It's on my synastry chart too, I actually like it as it pins down that naughty Mars and gets it to do something useful. Sometimes, heh, heh, Saturn is snoring in bed right now so can't criticise me for wasting my time on the 'net. IP: Logged |
